After finishing his shift, Jack was back in his quarters, getting his dress uniform ready for the weddings that were due to take place. As he prepared it, he suddenly got the feeling he wasn't alone. Looking behind him he saw Q standing there in a tuxedo.

"Oh great! Who invited you!" Asked Jack as he turned to face him. Q merely smiled as he brushed down his jacket and top hat.

"Oh such anger! Its so good to see you again Com... Oh... Your not a ln XO anymore. What happened Jack? Come to think of it, why aren't you with Wolfe and his Wildcat cronies?" Q retorted.

"That was a long time ago Q, whilst time isn't a linear issue for you, us mere mortals still suffer it. We all went our own ways and Starfleet sends its best where they're needed," Jack explained as he hung up his dress uniform, ready for later.

"That's a shame, I liked them. Oh well I'm sure two weddings will keep me occupied, so much fun and frolics to be had," he replied. Jack looked at him clear in the eye.

"Listen Q and listen good. Go away and let these good people have their weddings in peace, I'm sure there's plenty more fun to be had in the Universe elsewhere..." Jack stated.

"Indeed!" Q retorted and disappeared. Jack smirked as he went on getting ready...Once he was dressed and ready, he made his way to the ceremony where he took a seat.

The time had finally come for Lee and Alex to get married, Lee was in a room off to where the wedding would be held. He was putting the finishing touches to his red Klingon outfit. Maal was assisting him as Morath, Jack, Joe, Nathaniel and Sartak looked on. His parents and other family members had come in to chat with him for a couple minutes before leaving to find their seats. The house of Torg even stopped by as well. Finally Lee was ready and nodded to the others, Morath held the door open as they all exited and headed out to where the wedding was being held. Lee led the others to the alter to where K'nera was standing.

Alex stood there in front of the mirror, looking at her custom made red and black leather dress which was different than the traditional Klingon wedding dress. She had worn leather before on a mission so she was very comfortable in it. Deela was standing behind her, looking at Alex in the mirror. Her mom was also there.

Deela smiled at Alex. She could feel Alex's nerves, "You make a beautiful bride Alex. The wedding will be perfect so stop worrying."

Alex smiled back at Deela's reflection, "I know. It's just that I want it to be perfect, that's all." She felt a little more pressure for perfection knowing that another Klingon wedding was going to take place.

Alex's mom hugged her, "Deela's right. The wedding will be perfect." Victoria was filled with joy to finally see her daughter happy, "I am so happy for you. And Deela is right, you do make a beautiful bride. That dress is to die for."

Paul walked in and his mouth fell to the ground, "Mom! Wow, you look...pretty!" Paul had never seen her wear anything but her uniform or pant outfits.

Alex smiled at Paul, "Well thank you." They hugged each other. Alex looked into her son's eyes, "I'm so happy that you are here to share this important day with me."

Paul smiled, "So am I. I love you." Alex almost teared up, "Love you too."

Meanwhile a good distance away, Lt Commander Torilla Yamaguchi and her husband were both getting ready for the wedding, they had been invited to both weddings and since they were taking place at the same time and at the same location, it would make it easier for them to attend both.

Jake was wearing his dress uniform while Torilla had opted for a ballroom gown, it was a deep gold in colour and made people turn their heads whenever she wore it in public, she smiled. "So... still think I overdo it?"

Jake chuckled softly. "Of course not.." he replied as he grinned at his wife as she leaned against the wall, clearly taking her time, he gently shared a kiss with her as the two decided to take a moment for themselves.

Meanwhile in the next room, Rachael Yamaguchi was wearing something similar to her mother except it was a deep green in colour, it highlighted her among a crowd but she got to wear this dress so infrequently, she was shocked that it still fit her since she had gotten it as a Christmas gift from her elder siblings last year.

She slipped on her jacket as she looked herself over in her floor length mirror as she smiled. "Nice.... you do clean up real well girl." she commented to herself with a wide smile.

A moment later there was a knock at the door as she turned. "Yes Elizabeth, come on in." and with that her older sibling walked through the door, she along with Gabriel and Celeste who she could see over her sisters shoulder were all wearing their cadet dress uniforms, which made their lives a heck of a lot easier then her own. " you ready?.... dam girl. you look great."

"Yeah.... is mom and dad ready?" Rachael inquired of her elder sister.

"Yeah... you dressing up for Paul.... I know he'll love you in that dress..." Beth commented with a chuckle.

Rachael sighed as she glared at her sibling who only laughed at her.

While the others were preparing their wedding dress, Col. Hurd had just picked up his Dress uniform from the cleaners, and made his way back to his office. After trying it on, he remarked to himself, '' This thing fits better that it did before.''. After pinning his medals on, he pulled out his sword polish and boot polish, and began to polish both, taking his time and carefully doing both.

Sasha had brought somethings to Colonel Hurd from the General and dropped them off to him then went to where the wedding was she seen T'Lyn and M'Kota there already. She took her seat beside them.

Meanwhile Jewel was in her quarters getting ready she had the red klingon dress on and done her hair partially up and partially down. Jewel was feeling nervous but she had her sister there, "did u ever felt this nervous when you married Mike?" Jewel asked Janice.

"No, but life was much different then." Janice replied.

She nodded as she finished getting ready, "I guess I just want things to go right this time." Jewel said, "how do I look?" She asked.

"Fantastic." She replied with a smile.

Jewel smiled and hugged her sister, "Thanks for being here." Jewel smiled as they finished getting ready. She couldn't believe that in the next few hours she was going to be married. She couldn't help but smile and nervous all at the same time.

Meanwhile master sergeant Jeff Duval was wearing his Klingon attire as he was part of the wedding party, it was his goal to attack Colonel Hurd and Captain Pike as they left the wedding area, it was to symbolize the attack on Kahless and Lady Lukara while they were newly married.

K'Temoc, K'Wor, and Becca arrived for the wedding together. K'Temoc and K'Wor in their dress white uniforms, Becca in a low cut blue dress.

Coleman worked on his dress white uniforms, getting ready for the double weddings that would be happening within the next few hours. He couldn't believe that they would celebrating two weddings on the same day, on the same starbase. But, he was happy nonetheless. He knew all the people getting married for several years from working on the starbase and he knew they made perfect matches.

As Coleman finished up, he added the several medals onto their appropriate places. He was nervous about looking the best for his friends, but he also knew he couldn't stand around all day making himself look well. So, after a few more tweaks, he headed out of his residence and to the ceremony.

Saith had originally planned on wearing her dress uniform to the weddings. Then, Maal had changed her mind. She fingered the light material of the shift dress he had brought her. It had a pearl-beaded bodice that fit snug, and a beautiful flowing skirt. The color was shades of blues and greens and seemed to twinkle when she moved. She smiled, Maal had good taste, and the colors were a perfect mix of her eyes and her favorite color. She heard arguing in the living room, in Klingon. She did not worry about it and turned back to the mirror to finish her hair. Maal’s family was here, Maal was already gone to the wedding. She ignored the crash that followed, and the additional shouting. Saith liked Maal’s family, but she was pretty sure his mother hated her. And to be fair, she was a little afraid of the woman. Smiling at her reflection, Saith took a deep breath and turned, heading for the living room. If they didn't leave soon they would miss the wedding. Ignoring the mess in the living room, she ordered them out the door. She found being strong around them was a bonus. So they all headed out.

As they entered, Saith looked around and noticed all the beautiful dresses and nicely dressed men. Some were in dress uniforms, but most weren't. Saith told the usher they were part of Lee’s family, but then let Maal’s mother chose their seats. After a short argument, Saith sat on the end of the aisle. There was no way she was going to be trapped amongst a bunch of Klingons. She smiled at Lee’s family and looked around for Alex’s.

Meanwhile the Yamaguchi's arrived at the wedding venue in one large group as they all arrived together, moments later as Jake went off to find their seats while the Torilla and her three children talked among themselves, Celeste was with them as Gabriel smiled. "Well guys, we'd best go find our seats... the party is going to start shortly."

Torilla chuckled softly. "Yeah.. well you know how it is..." she turned to her youngest. "Go find Paul." and with that her youngest turned and departed.

Paul knew the wedding was going to be starting soon and he wanted to be with Rachael. He gave his mom one more hug before walking out. He looked around for Rachael.

Bremer had to do the 'Admiral thing', before the wedding, checking on everything in Ops. Thankfully, everything was quiet...very quiet. For a moment, he thought maybe Q was making sure nothing happened to interrupt the weddings...but he shook his head and finished his rounds.

"Everything is status quo Sir, I'll make sure it stays that way during the ceremonies." Roebuck said.

"Thank you for taking the shift, I'll make sure someone brings you a piece of the wedding cake." Bremer replied with a smile before leaving Ops and heading to the wedding.

Meanwhile elsewhere Torilla Yamaguchi knew her grandson was in good hands as she thought of Ensign Sian Anderson who was babysitting him as a favor to Torilla, the Ensign wasn't coming to the wedding as she had paperwork to do so Torilla had asked her to watch Gideon for her.

Rachael meanwhile found Paul. "Hey.... whats up?"

Paul smiled, "Hey you. I just saw my mother and she looks so awesome. She looks so happy and that is the way it should be."

Rachael regarded him. "Today is her day... hers and Leon Pikes." she commented. "and the General and the Colonel as well." she added evenly.

"I know. Isn't that crazy? Two Klingon weddings in one day. Anyway, let's take our place in the front. It's about to begin."

"I assume you heard... Mom's looking after Gideon while Gab and Cel finish at the academy a year from now...." Gab and Cel were shorthand for Gabriel and Celeste respectably.

"That's great. Good for them." He took her hand, "After you."

R'nard was the next to enter. He also decided against the dress uniform, which was terribly uncomfortable. He would have been more comfortable in a Betazoid wedding.

But he wore the traditional attire of a Tralazar Master, the robe and sandals from the monastery, but more of a formal one for ceremonies. It was that way that he would honor the participants in the wedding. He bowed to all as he entered.

Phoenix arrived next in the Marine dress blues, with her Major's saber dangling from her belt. Normally she would have found an excuse not to be at events like this, but more and more Phoenix found herself attending social events with the crew, to appease her superiors.

Pray for an open bar after this, Phoenix thought to herself, as she had a seat in the very back.

Holly had that look on her face like she was a deer in headlights as weddings confused her with all the emotions that were in the room. She had to shut herself away after only a few seconds in the room because of all the minds talking and she couldn't handle it. Dressed in formal uniform she entered and found a seat to attempt to sit in and gather herself as she could feel the panic attack coming on. The last thing she wanted to do was have an episode in the middle of such a happy event.

After adorning the proper Klingon garments over his dress uniform, he stood, and walked over to his mirror. Appeased at his appearance, he smoothed his uniform over one last time, adjusted his sword, and made his way to where the wedding was being held. His heart was beating faster all the time he was walking, and as he entered the reception area, he stood ramrod still, taking in the amount of people present, all the time his heart threatening to jump out of his chest.

Coleman walked into the reception hall and saw several of his fellow officers in there already. He saw Ariel and saw her in a beautiful blue dress. He walked over to her and started to chat with her a little bit while they waited for the ceremony to start up. They laughed at how crazy it was for them to be here, after knowing all the people for years and seeing how crazy the past few years have been. But, they had been good ones and they were glad to have made it through them together.

Doctor Tressa Brislan arrived with her niece and nephew in tow. She smiled at the other guests as she ushered the children towards Phoenix.

"It's nice to see you again," Tressa said as the family settled in.

Phoenix was stunned for words, as the only beings her eyes made contact with, were the short ones in Tressa's wake. The pilot loathed children because she did not think she was great with them. That, and their annoying crying and bratty behavior generally turned her away from wanting a family of her own.

So what did one say to beings one thought was way below her evolutionary standard?

"Erm..." Apparently nothing intelligent. Phoenix cleared her throat and quickly looked to Tressa with a nod, "Nice ta see you too, Doc."

Kaylee sat next to Phoenix, watching her with her dark eyes. She felt Phoenix's discomfort and smiled shyly at her, then rested her head against Tressa. Xavier was on Tressa's other side.

"This is so exciting, a double wedding!" the doctor said.

"I'm hungry," Xavier answered. Kaylee rolled her eyes.

"There's food after," Tressa answered.

Bitterness and envy began to well up in Phoenix a she took in the scene. Most everyone with family. Holding hands with each other... She was here because of an invite (which Phoenix still thought was a miss-send). And Phoenix only came because admiralty were here. Try as she might to make an effort to appease them, this sort of gathering was getting to be a painful one for Phoenix to watch and endure.

The dourness set in as Phoenix became very introverted. Like any dogfight, this one just something she had to roll a hard-six on. So she sat quietly and waited for the ceremony to being.

Rachael looked up at Paul. "So... you ready for this?" she inquired as she raised an eyebrow. "Just remember... dinner is at my place at 6pm, every night should you decide to drop in."

Deela put her hands on Alex's shoulders, "It's time Alex. Are you ready?"

Alex nodded, "I have been for a long time now. I can't believe this is happening...finally!" Alex turned, took a deep breath and exhaled. Her mom walked out to be a part of the guests and join her husband. Alex and Deela followed after a few minutes, "Relax." Alex smiled nervously as she took another breath and exhaled.

HARRISON/PIKE WEDDING CEREMONY

Alex could see the place where they were getting married. The fires, the tapestries with Klingon symbols and the staging area were breathtaking. At her request, there was a subtle red hue which made the setting more intense. Alex was pleased.

Lee was standing up there next to Maal and his cousins when he heard the music play. He turned around and watched Alex, smiling as he waited.

Alex smiled nervously at Lee across the walkway as she walked with Deela to the area where they would begin the ceremony. The Klingon music faded and then the sound of drums began to beat.

Alex could now see K'nera standing towards the back as she waited to begin. She looked majestic standing there. Alex waited for her cue.

K'nera stepped up to the front and began to speak, "With fire and steel did the gods form the Klingon Heart. So fiercely did it beat. So loud was the sound that the Gods cried out...

"On this day we have brought forth the strongest heart in all the heavens. None can stand before it without trembling at it’s strength."

But then the Klingon heart weekend, its steady rhythm faltered, and the gods said...

"Why have you weakened so? We have made you the strongest in all of creation." and the Heart responded as Lee Pike walked through the door as he spoke clearly. "I am Alone."

K'nera continued, "And the gods knew that they have erred, so they went Back to their forge and brought forth... A second Heart." as she indicated the empty doorway as Alex, in her Klingon style red dress walked in and joined K'nera and Lee, meanwhile Maal walked towards Lee and Alex and holds out the Bat'leths. Alex and Lee took the Bat'leths in hand.

K'nera continued "But the second heart beat stronger than the first, and the first was jealous of it’s power."

Lee stroke the center of Alex's blade. Alex then blocked and parried to Lee's throat ... gently resting against his throat as she smiled at him.

K'nera:"Fortunately the second heart was tempered by wisdom."

Alex spoke, "If we join together, no force can stop us."

The both gave the bat'leths back to Maal.

K'nera: "And when the two heats began to beat together."

Alex and Lee embraced both arms.

K'nera:"They Filled the Heavens with a terrible sound. For the First time the gods knew fear. They tried to flee, but it was too late... The Klingon Hearts destroyed the gods who created them and turned the heavens to ashes. And to this very day No-one can oppose the beating of two Klingon Hearts."

K'nera:"Lee Pike Son of Marcus Pike Does your heart beat only for this woman?"

Lee smiled at Alex, "Yes"

K'nera:"And will you swear to join with her and stand with her against All who would oppose you?"

Lee answered, "I swear"

K'nera:"Alex, Daughter of Victoria. Does your heart beat only for this man?"

Alex answered as she smiled at Lee, "Yes"

K'nera:"And will you swear to join with him and stand with him against All who would oppose you?"

Alex smiled as she looked at Lee, "I swear."

K'nera:"Then let all present here today know that this man and this woman are married!"

Alex and Lee kissed. Lee gave an elegant hug to K'nera.

Alex turned towards K'nera and gave her a short bow, "My Lady."

K'nera:"And welcome to the house of Torg, my Daughter."

Alex gave an elegant hug to K'nera.

Maal, Sartak, Joe, Jack, Nathaniel charged both him and Alex as they proceeded to gently beat Alex and Lee with ritual maces, hard enough to
make the point but gentle enough as not to leave welts or marks.

Torilla and her entire family watched as she herself chuckled, Rachael smiled as she watched the festivities. "Great!", the other Yamaguchi's watched in silence as they all either chuckled softly or smiled.

Mike and his family...Janice, K'Wor, Becca, Christopher, K'Temoc, Simon, and Emmaline watched the 'beating'. They were all happy for the couple, especially Mike who's watched them both meet aboard the Pegasus and grow into friends then lovers, he was glad they had finally 'tied the knot.'

Holly observed quietly from where she was at not really understanding the need to 'beat' people to show affections, but didn't really linger on the question too long in her mind. Once things started to break from ceremony and people started to float around Holly rose from her seat and followed suit she was still getting use to socializing in less structured areas. A starbase was a big place full of families and other people, so naturally she was still a bit on edge. She didn't let it show though and just did the best that she could to blend in.

Saith sat stock still, but her mind was wandering. She knew Maal’s mother had glanced at her at least once during the story, but she ignored her refusing to look at her. The thought came unbidden, ‘I hope Maal never wants me to do this!” She winced as Maal’s family encouraged the mock “beating,” and clearly enjoyed the ceremony. Saith’s lack of faith in herself resurfaced. ‘What am I doing? Maal deserves someone who wants to do this kind of thing,” she thought. She clapped with the others at the end of the ceremony, and waited for the next couple. Once they were both finished, she went in search of Maal.
