He is also very loyal to everyone around him unless they do something to one of his friends, who he considers to be family. If one was to make Jonathan mad by hurting someone close to him, you would not be his friend any longer.
Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths: Coleman is a very strong willed person and is able to pick up ideas quickly, which is why he has excelled in the science, medical, and diplomatic fields. He is also very good at languages, for he has traveled all around the galaxy and listened to numerous stories in their native tongue.

Weaknesses: Coleman has grown a weakness for chocolate. Anyone that gives him chocolate will have his love because of his grown love of any sort of chocolate. Another weakness is his understand of security and tactical because on his homeworld, his people do not have much use for violence or use of security.
Ambitions Coleman has several ambitions and has achieved several of them in his lifetime. One of his ambitions is to become a Starfleet admiral one day before he reaches the age of 300. He has worked hard to reach all the things he has achieved in life and becoming an admiral would be a lifelong dream if he could reach it.

Another ambition Coleman has is that he hoped to have children one day as well. He has always grown up taking care of his younger sibling and he has just grown into a fatherly figure, thus making Coleman want to have children one day and settle down one day.

One ambition that Coleman has already achieved was joining Starfleet and go into the diplomatic, scientific, or medical fields within Starfleet because of all that they have done for him and his people. He has been able to achieve all of those in the past several years and Coleman has helped to expand upon Federation Science and Medicine, as well as expand diplomatic and political science thought for Starfleet and the Federation.
Hobbies & Interests Coleman has several hobbies and interests that he has picked up over the past several years on the starbase and elsewhere. One of the largest hobbies Coleman has picked up with the ability to play the earth clarinet. He learned how to play when he turned 200 years old and on his way to the planet Trill, where he met the Ambassador to Trill from Earth. The Ambassador had one laying around with him, for which he knew how to play. Coleman was intrigued by the instrument and the Ambassador said he would give him lessons once their duties were over, which led to Coleman's love for the Earth Clarinet.

Another hobbies that Coleman has is classical books from all over the Galaxy. Coleman has original copies of Hamlet, Macbeth, and Henry V from Earth, as well as several first editions of books from Kronos, Trill, and El-Auria. He has felt as though reading and books were a major part of ones' culture and helped to show the evolution of it over generations.

Coleman also has interest in the sciences, with more specific in the astronomical and biological science like botany. When Coleman was just a child on the El-Aurian homeworld, he would always look up at the stars at night and wonder what it was like out there.
Languages Trill, El-Aurian, and English

Personal History Jonathan Coleman was born on the El-Aurian homeworld a century before it was attacked by the Borg. He grew up on one of the main continents of his planet, where many great and wonderful plants grew. He grew up to be a happy teenager and adult and always had a love for the arts, sciences, Engineering ideas and the medical field. So, when he was old enough, he enrolled in the medical college on his homeworld and he studied there for many years and got the top of his class and graduated with honors. So, when the borg attacked his homeworld, he went aboard the S.S. Lakul, where he healed many of the injured alongside many of collegues. But, the S.S. Lakul got caught in the energy ribbon and he was one of only a handful of survivors.

When he finally reached earth, he found earth's beauties to be many and plentiful. He found that he wanted to persue a career in starfleet, where he studied medicine and science and graduated with many honors there and he got his first assisgnment to the USS Interpid, an Excelsior-Class starship, where he was the Assistant Chief Medical Officer and stayed at that posting for several years before Dr. Alexander Robinson retired from the fleet, leaving his post to Lieutenant (j.g.) Coleman. Then, Lieutenant Coleman was promoted to a full Lieutenant and remained there until he came to Starbase 400 as the Chief Diplomatic Officer.

While Coleman has served aboard Starbase 400 and the USS Pegasus, he has gone through several different divisions. While he started out with a brief stint as the Chief Diplomatic Officer, he switched to the Science Department as the Chief Science Officer, where he would quickly go through the ranks, starting as a Lieutenant, moving quickly up to Lieutenant Commander, before taking his Bridge Officer's Test and becoming a full Commander. Commander Coleman served as the Starbase's Chief of Sciences for several years, becoming very knowledgeable on many scientific subjects before moving over to the position of Chief Engineer. Coleman had worked on various Engineering projects before switching to the Chief Engineering position and had been working on getting certified to become one through Starfleet Academy. He became certified right before he switched over at his request and Admiral Bremer allowed this switch and Coleman could not be happier.
