The holodeck was ready, between them Christina and David had chosen a picturesque spot for their Starfleet wedding. A gorgeous hillside of lush green grass and coloured flowers that looked out over sparkling views of blue ocean, Having already married this was more of a formality for their Starfleet family to celebrate their wedding.

Christina was standing in front of the mirror in her temporary overnight quarters, she’d gone all out and invested in an off the shoulder, ivory wedding dress with lacy bodice. It was a little daring at the front with the way it fit around her cleavage but she wanted to make David’s eyes pop at the sight of her. She hadn’t been nervous before but this time she was feeling considerably so.

"My Dear, you look stunning, more than mere words can either express or say", Hurd said, his face turning a light red.

“What on Earth!” She turned to look at him. “You weren’t supposed to see me until our wedding.” She smiled. “Not that it really matters, I wanted to know what you thought of my dress anyway. I wanted to make you the most envied man on this station.”

"My dear, I'm sure I'm already am, and" he laughed at the next part, "I have 18,000 extra pairs of eyes that would have inadvertently blurted out how stunning you look anyhow."

Chrissy couldn’t help but blush. “Thank you. I’m extremely proud to be both your wife and a marine under your command.” She kissed him on the cheek making sure she cleaned the lipstick off afterwards. “I’m more nervous now than I was the first time we got married.”

Smiling he said, "No need to be, although the surprise i have planned afterwards may make you that way". He turned his head and planted a kiss on her cheek.

“You just had to tell me didn’t you!” She grinned, looking at the chronometer. “Almost time to go.”

"So it would seem, My dear I need to disappear to make my entrance so I will meet you at the altar, I love you."

"I love you too!" Chrissy smiled as she watched her husband go, she'd organised to meet Ariana just outside the holodeck just prior to the ceremony time. Giving David time to go she waited another five minutes before setting off.

Holodeck, Wedding venue

Ariana arrived at the holodeck with Cameron and Stacey slightly early, she wanted to make sure everything was set up ready for the wedding and there’d be no last minute hitches. She was wearing a flowing red dress in contrast to the bride, she smiled as she leant forward to kiss Stacey and then Cameron giving him a full frontal view down the front of her dress. “I’ll see you soon handsome, I have to go and do my bridesmaid duties but I’ll be back.

"Keep it up hon and you will not leave our quarters for a week you minx." whispered cameron softly so only she would hear

Ariana grinned. “Just wait until later handsome!” She gave Cameron a loving kiss, smiling at Stacey as he cradled her before heading off to meet up with Christina.

Freya arrived at the holodeck with Kaden, she was looking forward to attending a wedding as they were always a very romantic occasion. She’d promised Hades she’d rest as much as possible and not overdo it, she smiled as she took her seat and looked at Kaden. “This is a beautiful setting isn’t it?” She squeezed his hand knowing how he felt about attending events like this.

Kaden didn't say anything he was hoping this would be better than the last wedding they was at. Instead he quietly sat down and rested his face in his hands just thinking that this time he wouldn't pass out or it being hot.

Hades and Kalani arrived on the holodeck. Hades had on his dress uniform and Kalani had opted for a long silver gown. She had her arm tucked into the crook of her husband's arm recalling their wedding. She smiled up at him and he, in turn, beamed down at her. "You look beautiful."

Kalani laughed and returned the compliment. They headed out to mingle.

Rol was next to arrive. He grabbed a drink at the bar and waiting for things to start. He watched the door and wondered briefly if Braxton would come. The two had chatted and he knew that Braxton was struggling with all this demons now.

The door parted again and Braxton walked in. Rol didn't miss the little wobble. He left his drink on the bar and went over. "Braxton sit down before someone else notices your drunk."

"I am fine." Braxton said but he did sit down in the back. He didn't want to go to this wedding, he didn't want to be here but Rol had been right. He needed to release the ghost of Nicole and this was the only way to do it but he wouldn't do it sober.

Zeke walked in with Anna, he leaned over to her hear. "I can not say this enough. You look incredible." He said, with a big grin on his face. He loved having her by his side, as they both walked in.

“Oh this old thing,” Anna whispered back with a smile. He knew she had picked it up for this occasion. “You are looking very handsome. There will be a lot of jealous women here.”

"Let them be, I have the most beautiful woman on my arm. What more can I want?" Zeke told her, with a big grin on his face. "you know, there will be a lot of jealous men too."

“None could hold a candle to you,” Anna smiled. “I have everything I want right here with you.” She looked around. “I am happy for them.”

"Someday this will be us." Zeke said, expressing his interest in them getting married sooner versus later. Before they could do that, they needed to finalize a few things. And of course the whole baby thing. Did Anna want to be pregnant strolling down the aisle of marriage?

“It will be the best day of my life,” Anna replied honestly. She knew Zeke was all she ever wanted and she couldn’t wait to have his mama me. “When we have everything ironed out.”

"Agreed." Zeke said, as he started to contemplate all the things, they still needed to complete. Before they could even think of getting married. "I think those two chairs, are available." Zeke pointed out to Anna.

Tag Anna

Hades and Kalani settled in. This would be a big day. It reminded her of her own wedding not too long ago. She couldn't wait to get a look at the bride's dress. She was so happy for the couple. Love was rare and everyone deserved to be happy.

Coleman was a bit nervous as he walked into the holodeck in his dress whites. Having just arrived to the Starbase not long prior, he was surprised that he was invited by the husband and wife to be. However, he was happy that they thought of him in this special occasion.

Walking over to the venue and seeing several of his crewmates, Coleman looked around to see if he recognized anyone immediately familiar. Seeing Hades, he smiled and walked over, taking a seat behind him and saying, "How's it going Doc? Hope you don't mind me taking a seat behind you."

Hades motioned. "Feel free to sit up here with us."

Coleman nodded and moved one row up and sat down next to Doctor Hades. "Thank you for letting me sit with you. Even though I've been on the base for a couple of days now, I still haven't had the chance to meet all the new faces. So, thanks again for letting me sit here with you guys."

Noticing Hades and Kalani not far away Freya nodded and smiled as she looked in Hades direction. She wasn’t going to be an awkward patient, after the reception it was straight into bed to rest. Just what Hades had ordered.

Mike and Janice finally arrived, both in dress whites.

"Quit playing with your collar." Janice said quietly to Mike.

"It's too tight, the uniform must of shank." Mike replied as he adjusted his collar again.

Janice rolled her eyes, "Yeah, the uniform shrunk."

Mike paused and looked at his wife. "Wait, you think I've put on weight?" Concerned and a little frustrated.

Janice just smirked.

"Okay, fine, I'll start hitting the gym more often again." Mike replied as he looked around.

The Bremer's saw Hurd standing across the room and walked over to him, dropped off their wedding gift with the others along the way.

"Congratulations David." Mike said, extending his hand. It was rare, very rare that Mike used first names for Officers and Enlisted under his command unless he'd known them a very long time. Hurd had been apart of Starbase 400's crew for many years, and the situation called for a little less formality.

"Yes, congratulations to you both." Janice added.

"Thank you Admiral, General", Hurd said shaking both of their hands. Looking around the room, Hurd said, "I think it a very high honor both of you showing up, and you are in my debt." A michevious smile spreading on his face, Hurd said, "If you both will kindly excuse me, I have a surprise entrance to plan for my Bride". With a ND and a wink, Hurd walked off, still grinning from ear to ear.

Mike nodded and Janice smiled.

After Hurd walked off, Mike looked at his wife, "Come on bride of mine, let's find a seat."

Janice smiled and the took their seats.

Deela and Jack finally showed up. She was so happy to have her fiancé back in her life. She thought that she had lost him. It was obvious that she wanted to keep him close. They held hands until just before they sat down and then resumed holding hands once they were seated. Deela was happy again.

Jack looked around to see so many people at the gathering. He was excited to be at such a wonderful event and happy to be beside Deela as well. Having recovered from his ordeal, he was happy to be enjoying his time off recovering. He held her hand tight, excited with the thought that one day soon this would be them.

Once he had been cleared for a return to duty and was back on his feet, Jack was also planning to take Deela and the kids away, where possible. With the recent attack on the station, he felt that they needed a break and with the fleet back up and running soon, shore leave wasn't a bad idea. He squeezed her hand again with excitement as they watched on.

Olivia arrived at the wedding with Tim and the twins. She was honoured to be at the wedding considering they barely knew Hurd and his wife, so far Olivia had only met Hurd the day after she arrived and checked in. Finding a seat near the back, she made herself comfortable as she cradled baby Joseph. "I'm looking forward to this TJ, I love weddings!”

Tim smiled as he held onto Baby Emily, he was happy to be invited even though he didn’t know anyone here or had the time except to check in T’Lar. He followed Olivia to a space in the back. “I love weddings as well, they are such joyous occasions.”

"Brings back memories of our wedding, not that we had guests at the time." She grinned. "It's a day I will never forget!" She grinned as Emily gurgled happily at the two of them talking. Joseph was already asleep.

Tim smiled, “it sure does, or course ours was a tad bit smaller, but it was a very memorable day.”

~ Ceremony Time ~

Outside the holodeck Ariana was waiting for Christina, she was happy her father had found a woman he was so in love with. She smiled warmly as Christina finally arrived to join her. "Ready for this, Mum? You don't mind me calling you Mum do you?"

"Not at all Ariana" Christina smiled. "If you're comfortable with it then I am as well. As for ready..." She nodded.

"Give me two seconds and I'll let them know you're here." Ariana walked back into the holodeck, stopping at the rear she smiled at Braxton as she saw him before waving to Bremer to let him know Christina had arrived.

Mike nodded.

"Be sure to speak loudly." Janice said with a smile as Mike stood. "Do you have your notes?"

"I'll just use the same ones from Doctor Hades wedding." Mike replied with a smirk.

Kaden looked around nervously fixing the collar on his dress uniform not that he was hot but more eager to just get away from the crowd. "Wish this just hurry and end I don't like being around these people I think some are staring at me." He whispered to Freya.

Sneaking away, Hurd slipped to a secluded spot on the holodeck and pulled on the Helldiver Suit he had stored there. Boarding the holographic Shuttlecraft, he took it up to an attitude of 79,000 Feet, and waited for his chance to romantically surprise his Beloved Bride.

As the music began Ariana took her place behind her step-mother for this official wedding. Christina didn’t have anyone to give her away so she’d asked David (jnr) if he would walk her. Ariana smiled warmly at her half brother, she wanted to get to know him better too.

Starting off through the doors they all walked slowly down towards the aisle ready to make their way towards where Mike was waiting to head the ceremony. Although none of them could see David (snr) anywhere.

Smiling as he saw how stunning she looked, Hurd said to the simulated shuttles computer, "Hold altitude and open rear doors". As the computer beeped it's replies and the doors opened, Hurd took a deep breath. This was it. Without any hesitation, he took off at a flying run from 79,000 feet and, producing a slight Sonic boom as he did so, went diving head-first towards his bride.

Mike looked around for Hurd. He didn't want to start without the groom. He places his hands behind his back and took a breath.

At around 400 feet or so, Hurd deployed the breaking thrusters built into the suit. Drifting downwards, someone in the crown pointed up just as Hurd touched down on the altar. Stripping off the armour as quick as he could, Hurd stood there in perfect Marine Dress Uniform, ready for this moment.

Bremer smirked and whispered, "Show off." He then gave a nod to the organist and she started playing the bridal march.

Whispering back, Hurd said, "I'm a Marine Admiral, we are all showoffs".

Chrissy shook her head and grinned. She loved David’s extravagance. As the wedding march played she walked down the aisle until David (jnr) handed her over to his father and took his place at Hurd’s side as best man.

Ariana smiled happily as she followed down the aisle as bridesmaid, as they reached Bremer she took Christina’s flowers before going to sit down next to Cameron and a sleeping Stacie.

Looking at his Bride, Hurd said, "My dear, you are simply the most stunning woman in this Galaxy".

Chrissy couldn't help but blush. "That was a very impressive entrance my love."

"What can I say, I'm a Marine, whose crazy in love with you".

Her smile practically shone as she looked to him, before they both turned to look at Bremer.

Mike began, "We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, the joining of two hearts and to give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, and to add our best wishes to the words which shall unite this couple in marriage."

Mike looked at the bridge and the groom for a moment, then spoke again. "For them, out of the routine of ordinary life, the extraordinary has happened. They met each other, fell in love and are finalizing it with their wedding. A good marriage must be created. It is never being too old to hold hands. It’s remembering to say I love you every day and it is not just marrying the right person its being the right partner."

"David, do you take Chrissy to be your wedded wife?"

Looking deeply into the eyes of his bride, Hurd said, with tears of joy and happiness, "I do".

Bremer nodded, "Do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect her, forsaking all others and holding only unto her until death do you part?"

"Forever and always I vow that with my life", He replied, wiping his eyes.

Mike looked over at the bride, "Chrissy, do you take David to be your husband?

Chrissy’s smile practically shone as she looked at her husband. “I do.”

"Do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect him, forsaking all others and holding only unto him until death do you part?" Mike asked.

Chrissy nodded as she turned to look back at Bremer. “I most definitely will.”

Mike smiled, then looked at both again. "Wedding rings are an unbroken circle of love, signifying to all the union of this couple in marriage." He handed the couple their rings so they could place them on eachother's fingers and say their prepared vows.

Chrissy took the ring that she had placed on David’s finger once before at their private wedding, and placed it slowly on his finger. “David From the moment our lives intertwined, you’ve captivated me, challenged me, frustrated me and improved me in ways no person has done before. And I have fallen in love with you again and again. I promise to be true to you, to support and encourage you and to challenge and frustrate you. I truly believe we were always meant to be and that we will continue to grow stronger together.”

Placing the ring on her finger, Hurd began to speak. "Chrissy, from the moment we met, I knew we were ment to be". "I have loved you, promise to love you forever, and every time I see you my heart thuds in my chest , and I think to myself I am the luckiest man in the Galaxy. I promise to be true, honest, loyal, and faithful only to you, and in every battle I fight I promise to come home to you. Chrissy, you can't imagine how much I love you and I will love for all eternity".

Mike smiled again, "Then by the power vested in me by the United Federation of Planets I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Chrissy blushed as she leaned forward to kiss him in front of so many people. Not that she was embarrassed to kiss him in public, just the opposite, she was proud to be seen with David.

Embracing her, Hurd kissed her passionately , like no one else was watching, his heat thudding in his chest.

Christina simply melted into her husband's kiss, at this moment no one else in the room mattered except him.

Gently pulling away from the kids, he smiled at her and knelt at her feet. Pulling his Officer's Sword and his .45 from it's holster, he held them out to her, and in ancient Marine tradition said, "My love, I totally surrender my all to you forever".

Being a marine herself Chrissy understood the gesture and proudly yet gently took his sword and his .45 from him, accepting his gesture of surrender. "You have no idea how proud and honoured I am to be your wife."

David, still looking at her, was crying now, the tears flowing freely down his face. "And you have no idea how much it touches me to hear you say those words".

“I think I do!” Chrissy smiled as she gently wiped away his tears. “We can’t have the other marines seeing you cry, now can we?” She gently pressed her lips to his in a romantic kiss. Letting it linger for a few moments she finally stepped back wiping her lipstick off his lips as she did so. “Come on, we have a reception to go to.”

Standing up, Hurd wiped the remaining tears from his eyes. Looking at his Bride, he replied, "Yes baby, I think we do".
