Mission: Episode 101 - Peace During War

Timeline: MD05 1200 hrs

Kaden returned home from his duty shift for lunch setting his briefcase down and his empty mug he took with him every morning to work. He unzipped his jacket setting it down next to the laundry while heading to his room to change. But stopped when he came across the test results of their baby being free of his condition. Kaden sat down in the chair looking it over feeling so happy right now he wondered if it was a dream.

Freya arrived home from a gentle run, she’d been told not to overdo things by the doctors after collapsing in Sickbay and she intended to do as she was told. She stepped through the doors slightly flushed in the cheeks, she was a little sweaty too so she intended taking a shower. “Hey, you’re home early!” Freya smiled as she walked over to the replicator to get a refreshing drink.

Kaden looked up setting the PADD down and walked over to Freya wrapping his arms around her resting his chin on her shoulder. "Rushed home to see you." She looked cute in her workout attire and how sweaty she was.

"Oh really?" Freya smiled then sipped her drink. Placing the cup down she playfully moved Kaden's hands higher up her body, resting them on Kaden's favourite assets. "I get the feeling you've missed not being able to take advantage of me while I've been under Doctor's orders."

Kaden playfully teased his wife's assets with a nod. "I would never lie to you but you are right." He said softly in her ear.

"Mmm me too!" She smiled as she rested her head against him. "I'm all hot and sweaty, feel like helping me get out of these clothes?"

Kaden gave her a salute with a grin. "I'd be honored to, Sergeant."

Freya grinned as she turned to face him. Sliding her arms around his neck she gave him a very romantic kiss. "Maybe we should take this in the bedroom?"

"You know...it's just the three of us...we can take it anywhere we want." Kaden smiled kissing her.

"Ohh really?" Freya grinned. "Where are you thinking of taking it?"

Kaden sat on the couch and pulled Freya on top of him. "Not far."

"Good choice!" She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a long passionate kiss, running her fingers through his hair as she did so. Before sitting back and raising her arms for him to pull her top up and off.

Kaden was more than happy to oblige as he helped Freya free of her sweaty top tossing it over his shoulder.

Freya giggled before wrapping her arms back around his neck. “I take it you’re looking forward to us having a workout?” She grinned a wry grin. “I won’t tell Doctor Hades if you don’t!”

Kaden planted a kiss on Freya's lips. "Of course I won't, You're the medical expert you think it be okay?" He asked.

“I...” She paused. “To be honest I’m not sure. I’m just getting carried away, I can’t help it when I’m around you!” She grinned.

Kaden only smiled resting his hands on Freya's rump. "We are like a couple of horny teenagers aren't we?" He asked.

“Very much so!” Freya nodded. “You know how much I love you Imzadi, I can’t get enough of you!!”

Kaden ran his hand thru her lovely black hair and smiled. "I love you and I always will."

“I swear as soon as Doctor Hades declares me fit, you and I are spending all night making mad, passionate love!” She grinned. “Well, maybe not too mad but still passionate!!”

"Is that an order, Sergeant?" Kaden asked teasingly.

“Oh definitely!” Freya grinned. “But right now I want to cuddle up naked with you, how’s about you give me a relaxing massage?”

Kaden nodded and sat up so Freya could lay down on her belly. "Be happy to."

Freya grinned and finished removing the last of her clothing, she wasn't bashful. Lying down on the bed she pulled out a bottle of body butter. "Here try this, if I want to avoid stretch marks then I need to keep my skin regularly moisturised during this pregnancy. Especially around my stomach and..." She grinned. "Breasts."

Kaden took the butter and waited for Freya to settle in before he began to rub it on her skin. "Speaking of breasts I been doing some reading," He pointed to the stack of PADDs next to his side of the bed with his chin. "According to medical experts it is good to help simulate the milk glands of the expecting mother to make it easier breastfeeding the infant."

"Oh really?" She smiled as she looked at Kaden. "You're going to be the new pregnancy guru are you? I take it you're volunteering to help with that?"

Kaden bursted out laughing. "I suppose I will yes, but I just been trying to do my part preparing for my role as a dad." He replied continuing to run his hands over her belly.

"I like that" Freya smiled warmly. "It's so nice to hear you excited about it instead of afraid of it."

Kaden picked up Freya's left foot before applying more body butter and rubbing all over even between her toes. "Now that this huge weight has been lifted I feel I need to prepare." He replied.

"Well we have a whole eight months or so to prepare!" She grinned. "We have the crib, some cuddly toys, a few other bits that we brought for when we looked after Hope. It's just anything else we might find or need."

Kaden finished rubbing Freya's left foot before picking up her right repeating the process again. "Well I meant parenting guides and such like for first time mothers and fathers, Freya." He shrugged. "I just want to be a good parent is all."

Freya nodded. “I like that idea, let’s see what we can find.” She relaxed back in her seat as Kaden massaged the cream into her foot for her.

Kaden paused as he looked at Freya. "I have to tell you though...I regret how I was acting before we went and saw Hades. I didn't enjoy feeling the way I did and how I hurt you causing all this stress you didn't need. I felt like I was in quicksand and every terrible memory, every fear, and my suffering was all caving in on me." He set Freya's foot down. "I wish I could overcome these feelings and I try so I can be a good leader to those Marines out there and a good husband for you here."

"Well you don't have to worry now, the baby is fine and I'm not stressing about it anymore. I just need to rest like Doctor Hades said.

"Don't change the fact I put more stress on you to where you collapsed in front of me and Hades." Kaden replied.

Freya offered Kaden a smile. "Let's just forget that, please!" She cuddled up. "I'm tired and I need to get some sleep ready for General Hurd's wedding."

Kaden sighed and nodded as he settled into bed holding his lovely wife close. "Sure." He smiled.
