| General Overview | Kaden is shy and has trust issues when it comes to meeting new people wears slightly bigger clothes so nobody sees his muscles. He is also known to be withdrawn and has a perfectionistic line of thinking. Kaden though practices martial arts to relax and to stay sharp is known to be laid back in his personal time. Despite his love for comic books, he does a lot of reading on military thinking and tactics which many would see him as bookish. Although he wants to be approachable he is always is concerned about what others think of him. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: A dedicated and honor bound individual, he fulfills his role as a marine with great care and diligence. He is always learning more about how he can be better as a marine and a comrade. He studies tactics and weapons, along with martial arts, making himself into a more perfect soldier and commander. He also has taken up training in Marine Special Operations Command ranging from counterterrorism, hostage rescue, special reconnaissance, counterintelligence, and direct action. Weaknesses: Kaden can be very concerned about his appearance and the effect he has on other people he meets, this can advance to the level of serious neurosis and inhibit his day to day life. He suffers from ongoing depression, and has visited the couch of many counselors over the years. This leaves him with a somewhat stunted social life, he does not have many friends and fewer good friends. Furthermore, he can find it difficult to talk to people, and can really quite awkward in his speech, causing difficulty in expressing himself. In addition, fields outside of combat and weaponry are very much not a strong point for him, and he can struggle with some of the concepts handles by science and engineering departments. As Kaden usually puts it: “If it doesn’t involve killing someone or blowing shit up you are asking the wrong guy.” |

| Hobbies & Interests | From Kaden’s family, he inherited an interest in historical artifacts from the 20th and 21st centuries. He shares a personal and professional interest in old automobiles from the earliest days of motorized transport to the present, they share an impressive collection back on earth. Even from his childhood, he developed an interest in antique pop culture as well, avidly collecting preserved comics and memorabilia such as action figures, a passion he shares only with his closest friends. Kaden’s professional interests are featured prominently as well, he gathers up all sorts of weaponry and military relics, whatever catches his eye and he can lay his hands on. He studies martial arts, sports, and fitness, and has developed a solid knowledge base of each. | |

| Personal History | Kaden was born to Gerard and Ellen Ross wealthy entrepreneurs of both the Vector Motor Company and ArmaDyne Defense in 2367 due to a side effect of the medication his father took to help with his Multi-infarct dementia. He was born with a rare genetic disorder known as Myostatin which gave him unnatural rapid muscle growth. In order keep his muscle mass growth from getting any further out of control he was given a creatine suppressant as a toddler. Of course, he still must take them every day to keep his muscle growth under control or it would fatally crush his bones and internal organs. Kaden’s older brother Vincent Ross also suffered from side effects of his father medication after he was born with Dwarfism but was blessed with a brilliant mind at an astonishing IQ level of 305. Shortly after Kaden was born his father’s medication was changed to where his baby sister Melanie Ross was fortunate enough to not be born with any defects. Growing up Kaden endured other kids bullying him on his physique caused him to feel ashamed of his body and developed a social disorder. At one point in his childhood, he suffered serious near fatal injuries at school when he was pushed off the jungle gym by one of the kids that bullied him the most. The incident left him in the hospital for weeks in a coma before he was able to recover but had to visit counselors to help him cope with his condition and overcome how others treated him as an outcast. His parents and friends of his family helped introduce him to lifting weights and take up mixed martial arts learning both Jujitsu and Jeet Kune Do to better defend himself. Kaden grew up reading comics of all kinds his favorites are Batman, X-Men, Superman, and of course rare comics of Captain Federation. His other passion was collecting action figures and is known to possess many rare and unique ones that would make even the richest Ferengi jealous. Growing older Kaden didn’t wish to join the family business and longed to seek a different path in his life his counselor who knew him since he was a boy felt he needed more self confidence and structured lifestyle suggesting he join Starfleet more specifically something where he could use his skills he learned from reading such as the Starfleet Marines. Kaden of course would be the first Ross in Starfleet since his Great Great Grandfather General Olsen Ross of MACO left after it was disbanded. Before punching out then Admiral Jonathan Archer after feeling betrayed that military men like him were nothing but dinosaurs that had no place in the newly founded Federation. Despite having that bit of family history associated with the name he joined in 2386 becoming one of the most gifted marine cadets out of his class. Impressing his instructors in wide range knowledge of Military Tactics and use of weapons which he spent a lot of time studying growing up when not reading his comics. In his high school years Kaden and Ariana Monore were high school sweethearts but separated shortly after they graduated leaving him to wonder if he was going to die alone. During his tenure in the Academy Kaden met Freya Simmons on vacation in Palm Beach, Aruba after she stood up to a group of people poking fun at him. Since then they have become inseparable falling in love with one another moving into an apartment together. Upon his graduation in 2390 Kaden was recruited to the Marine Special Operations Command Training on Kytan 3 spending the next three years learning counter terrorism, hostage rescue, special reconnaissance, counter intelligence, and direct action from the best the Federation had. He was later assigned to MARSOC Unit Nomad on the Catulla Federation Outpost taking part in Operation Kingslayer removing the drug gang Crimson Jackals off the planet Bolarris 6 near the Federation Colony of Vega 5 led by self appointed dictator Mors Mangone under the command of Major Lawrence Talbot. Following the end of the Crimson Jackals and the fall of Mors Mangone Kaden was promoted and took the position as Intelligence Officer on the USS Saratoga. Where he was reunited with Freya Simmons able to be with her more than just on shore leave and vacation unlike in past. It was at this time during their tenure Kaden and her decided to marry and eventually tie the knot before recently taking off on their honeymoon. They both eventually would take a position on Starbase 400 where Kaden would leapfrog in his military career to Colonel following the recent attack shortly after their reassignment. |
