Mission: Mission 80 - Outpost
Location: SB 400 Tactical Astrometrics
Timeline: Following 'Outpost'

Several minutes later, the Senior Staff joined Bremer, T'Lar, Pike, Jones, K'Temoc, Sisko, Kira, Bashir, Odo, and his two Jem Hadar guards in Tactical Astrometerics.

Andy looked at everybody inside the room and said "Adm Bremer, VAdm Sisko, VAdm T'Lar I think I might have an alternate plan for you to execute the first part of what has been just exposed here"

Mike looked at his newest Officer, "Explain."

Andy proceed to explain how he got here on his own Oberth class refitted ship and that he could use it to be used as infiltration Jem'adar commandos to land on the dark side of the planet and since it was a civilian vessel it was most likely not to be spotted as a hostile vessel until it was too late.

"On the other side I volunteer the Sutherland as diplomatic vessel to carry Mr Odo and his diplomatic team to the planet under a white flag", Andy Said

Odo looked at the Diplomatic Officer, "I didn't bring a Diplomatic team. If Deyos won't listen to a...Founder, then he won't listen to any Diplomatic Team. However, if the Starship Sutherland is a Diplomatic vessel, then that might be of some help."

Bremer and Sisko shared a nod, then Sisko added, "As long as the Sutherland can defend herself in case Deyos doesn't listen, then that sounds good to me."

Mike then added, "All right. Pegasus, Yorktown, Essex, Saratoga, and Sutherland will join the Defiant on this mission." Mike then looked at Greenwood, "Ryan, I want you here just in case we hear anything out of our Pirate friends."

"Aye Aye Admiral... We'll be ready for you", said Andy.

"I would advise against using a civilian vessel to carry the Jem Hadar." K'Temoc interjected. "If Deyos has maintained a base on Iconia for so long, he'd not going to let any vessel just wonder in close enough to be spotted. I'd suggest the Commando Team board the Saratoga with Major Hurd and his Marines."

"I would Agree in any other case Captain but remember that Deyos was order not to expose himself by the founders", answered Andy "I hope we don't need to use this rouse but if they came in a federation vessel they would be destroyed for sure"

K'Temoc shook his head, "Respectfully General, if anyone is aboard a Civilian vessel, they'll be picked off before they can even put up a defense, and it might give away our Task Force." He looked over at Odo, then back to the group. "If we land troops...Jem Hadar, Marines, Security, whomever...then Odo's attempt at peacefully talking Deyos down is gone. I suggest we give Odo the chance first. If talking doesn't work, then we can knock out any ships sent against the Task Force and land troops."

"Perhaps," K'Temoc added, "We can use the Oberth as a decoy. If negotiations break down, went send in the Oberth to draw out an Dominion ships. Before those ships realize it's a decoy, the Saratoga can move in and deploy ground forces."

Mike nodded, a combination of the plans might work the best. "Major Hurd, ready two Squads of your best men. Commander Lokran, get a Security Unit together, I want you on the ground too." Mike then looked back at Ramata’Tar, "I want your Team to help get our people ready, it's been years since we've squared off against Jem Hadar troops."

"A unit will be assembled." said Lt. Commander Lokran.

The big Jem Hadar First stared down the Admiral for a moment, then replied, "It will be done."

Andy Looked at the Admiral and said "The Sutherland is at your command Sir... We'll be ready", and looking at the captain he said "Once a Marine Always a marine"

K'Temoc smirked at the comment, having been a Marine once himself.

"Anyone else have anything to add?" Bremer asked as he looked around.

VAdm T'Lar would remain quiet throughout the meeting. She didn't like the Jem Hadar, for personal reasons. But her loyalties belonged to Starfleet and so she would set aside her personal feelings for the good of the mission. She watched on as everyone else responded.

"No sir I rest my case", answered Andy

Coleman nodded his head before saying, "No sir. Engineering will be ready."

Andrew Clifford nodded, but other wise kept quiet. It was a good plan and he could add nothing to it.

Andy Looked at Clifford and said in a soft voice "Nice to see you commander... I've heard that you inherited my job as XO onboard the Essex"

Lee stood there with his arms folded across his chest listening to everyone:"Where would you like me to be at sir?"

Mike looked at Pike, then said the group. "Ship assignments."

He walked over to the console and typed in everyone's names. After a moment, they appeared on one of the smaller monitors beside the larger main display.

After everyone had a moment to look over their assignments, Mike spoke up. "Major Hurd, I know the Saratoga is usually your command, however since you'll be deploying to the surface, if it should come to that, I want Captain Pike commanding the Saratoga for the mission. Doctors King and Brislan, have Sick-Bays aboard the Essex and Sutherland ready for casualties. I'll have Doctor Mclintock aboard the Pegasus do the same. Ryan, I want you to have the Vanguard, Venator, Ark Royal, Laffey, Kearsarge, and Durga on standby in case we need support."

Mike looked around one more time, then added. "Any other questions?"

VAdm T'Lar was fine with the ship assignments. She found no reason to reply. She glanced around the room at everyone else.

Harrison stood with her hands behind her. She was glad that Bremer assigned her to the highly familiar Pegasus. She was satisfied with the plan.

Mike looked around one more time, and with the room silent, he decided no one else had anything to say.

"All right. We'll depart in the morning. Dismissed."

While everyone went their own ways, K'Wor stood by his father as Sisko approached. "Acting Ensign huh? When do you report to the Academy?"

"In two months Sir." K'Wor replied.

Sisko smiled, as did Kira who had walked up behind him.

"We'll get Quarters for you aboard the Station for the night." Mike said.

"I'll return to the Defiant, keep the Jem Hadar company." Odo added as he and his two guards walked off.

K'Temoc started to follow, but Mike shook his head. "We can trust Odo.

"I wouldn't be here if I did." Sisko added.

"How about dinner, Janice would love to see you. You too Kira, Doctor." Mike said.

Sisko smiled and nodded, "Sounds good, now I did to see your little ones too."

"There's not so little anymore, Christopher is two and Marc and Emma are twelve." Mike said with a smile.

Sisko, Kira, and Bashir all smiled. The three Officers from Deep Space Nine followed Mike, K'Temoc, and K'Wor, leaving Tactical Astrometerics.
