Personality & Traits

General Overview Gives the impression of being easy going and laid back, but misses nothing about what is going on around him. No really obvious traits, but spends a lot of time in the gym.
Strengths & Weaknesses Can get too involved with issues, and takes personal loss very badly. Some of his personal traits have not come to light until they have happened as in the case of the loss friends in an accident on their way to Earth.

Personal History His mother Madeline Trudeau was a Federation scientist, so most of his childhood and early adult hood was spend moving around the federation. His father William Clifford was a combat specialist and Andrew took much of his interest in battles and wars from his father. His mother was not overly happy with this bent towards destruction and death, but did not stand in his way when he entered the academy.
He has served in Starfleet for 40 years and has resigned his commission to go back to Earth.
Service Record He entered the academy at the age of 19 and almost immediately started to excel in tactical studies. He learned to pilot small craft before entering the academy, and was soon demonstrating old fighter manoeuvres to his class mates.
He graduated at 24 with a mix of A's and B's. All the A's were in tactical and strategic studies.

Previous Assignments:
After graduating he served for five years on StarBase 21 as junior, tactical officer. He was then transfered to the Constellation class Cruiser the USS Beaumont as 2nd Tactical officer. During the mission the CSecOfficer was killed and the Tactical officer Lt Wilson took over both Tactical and security leaving Andrew effectively as tactical officer. He remained on board the Beaumont for 16 years and when Lt Wilson was transfered he was promoted to Tactical officer.
Andrew left the Beaumont in 2361, transferring to the USS Excalibur for just under 2 years and then to Starbase 12 for 10 years. He has spent the last 5 years teaching at the academy and has requested a transfer back to active duty.
Since that time he has served on board the USS Essex and SB400, and since joining SB400 has been promoted to Captain then Commodore and given command of the USS Kearsarge, an intrepid class starship. His duties on SB400 includes being Admiral T'Lars' chief of staff and overseeing the refit of the USS Princeton, a 100 year old constitution class starship.
After a serious incident, that led to the death of several friends, while he was back on Earth, Andrew has struggled to settle back on board SB400. A recent away mission that involved conflict with the Borg, has made him realise that he needs to get away from the service. He has resigned his commission and headed back to Earth. Whether the resignation will be permanent, or whether it will be a period of R&R he has not decided.
Simming History I have been simming since 1998, which I took up as therapy to help getting over a nervous breakdown. This was at the recommendation of a good friend (now my son-in-law), and I join the Fleet Operations eXecutive (FOX) as a Lt Andrew Clifford, an android fighter pilot. Andrew Clifford was destroyed within a few months of my starting and because I enjoyed it so much, I created another character 'Andre DaSilvor'. It was during my time at FOX that I met Mel (Admiral T'Lar) and we have simmed together ever since. With the unfortunate death of the sim owner, I took over and ran the USS Conqueror. This carried on for a few years, but in the end I decided to park the sim. I haven't deleted it yet, because I like the characters of Andre DaSilvor and his wife Dalenna Coolidge DaSilvor (Mel). When the Conqueror started to struggle I joined the USS Essex under the command of Admiral T'Lar, as Lt Commander Andrew Clifford (same name but different character).
I joined SB400 when Mel moved the USS Essex over.
