Mission: Episode 120 - Guardian at the Gate
Location: USS Falcon, Conference Room
Timeline: Current

Leia, Samuel, Jaxon, Dustin and Suki were already sitting in the conference room with drinks in their hands. Each of them were very eager to get on with the mission. A chance to get away from the station was going to be a nice change of pace for them.

"Lieutenant Ruveer, I am so happy you were able to join us on this mission." Leia said with a warm smile on her face.
Q
"My pleasure Commander, I needed something to do. Without Dee on the station, I was starting to go a little stir crazy." Jaxon said with a big teasing grin on his face.

"How is she doing?" Leia asked, assuming that he was staying in contact with her.

"She is doing well, they are at the gateway monitoring the situation closely." Jaxon started to say, as he saw more officers walk into the conference room.

Sarah walked into the room with Aubrey and Leland. They took a seat and Sarah sat down, waiting for the others to finish talking. “Good morning, everyone. We have a mission.”

"I am very happy to hear that, don't know how much longer I could tolerate being couped up on the station." Dustin said teasingly, and with sincerity.

"I am with Dustin on that, I was getting couped up as well, so what's our mission, Captain?" Samuel asked, with a big warm loving smile on his face.

“We are going on a routine mission.” Sarah explained. “Take in some of our section of space and make certain all is as it should be.”’

"Well I'm grateful I could join you guys on this mission, sorry Lieutenant Carrington for taking the home from you." Jaxon suggested with a half apologetic smile.

"It's all right I'm learning what it is to be a second officer plus there will be other positions on the bridge I can help out with." Sam said with the big red on his face as he looked over to Sarah and then back over to Jaxon.

"Lieutenant Miller how long until we're ready to leave?" Leia ass said she looked over to the chief engineer. He was personally ready to get out of the station and get on with their mission.

“I can be ready within the hour.” Aubrey replied. “Sooner if need be.”
She was ready to leave the station.

"The crew might appreciate an early route departure. Buti it's your call Captain." Leia said as she looked over to Sarah.

“Plan on leaving in an hour.” Sarah confirmed. She looked around. “Anyone need more time.” She hoped not, she was ready to go.

“Medical is ready.” Leland spoke up. Like the others he wanted to be out there.”

Dustin simply shook his head now. His department was ready to go but he didn't need any extra time but he knew that his girlfriend might so he was definitely going to give it to her.

Suki was also new to the ship, she could definitely use the hour to try to get more familiar with the ships interface system. This was her first time being posted to an interceptor class starship. She found it funny how most people compared this ship to the intrepid and called it a mini intrepid. Besides similar design in the saucer section there wasn't really much of a mini version in comparison to the intrepid design.

Jaxon like Dustin just shook his head now he didn't really say anything at the moment, his thoughts were not on the mission but they were on D and wondering how they were doing. He didn't like the fact that she was so close to the Borg Queen.

“An hour it is.” Sarah replied. She looked to Aubrey. “If you see any delay let me know will adjust accordingly.”

“She will be ready.” Aubrey said confidently. “I guarantee it.”

Leia smiled that she looked around the room then back to her captain. "I think we're ready to go captain." It was her subtle hint to suggest that they had naturally concluded all the talking points of this meeting. So now the captain either had a choice so opening up the floor to have random conversations about things I need to be addressed or to let the crew go back to the duty stations.

“That is it then.” Sarah continued. “You are dismissed.”

"As the crew left he stayed behind the captain and the first officer. "Have you heard any word from the fleet?" Leia ask Sarah her friend and her new captain well not that nearly been together for a short time now. And she was grateful for Sarah, she couldn't ask for a better teacher.

“I haven’t.” Sarah replied. “Have you?” It had seemed almost too quiet.

"The Saratoga was damaged badly, I don't know how badly but I know that they're sending support ships and engineers over to try to stop the hemorrhaging and power." Leia said knowing that she was really close to Ezekiel who was the former commanding officer of the Falcon before her. "That's all I know right now but if I hear anything more from communications I'll have them forward it to you."

“I will do the same.” Sarah nodded. She had been caught up in meetings and then this routine mission. “Let’s hope nothing more happens.”

"I don't know the colonel as well as you do, but I and invested in one of his marines. Captain Jethro Sherman." Leia pointed out to Sarah, so she was truly invested in making sure that Jethro was okay.

“I met Captain Sherman briefly,” Sarah nodded. “The Colonel and Doctor Bagwell shared portions of their honeymoon with them.”

"So what is Colonel Bagwell like?" Leia asked, being a little worried about Jett. She hoped that Ezekiel was good at handling stressful situations.

“He’s as good as they come.” Sarah spoke up. “The others will agree we are all better for having served under him. The Colonel is a straight shooter and he is great at assessing what is ahead of him.”

"Good to know, I'm just really worried about all of them." Leia said as the scene starts to fade away.

“We all are.” Sarah nodded. “They are our family.” It didn’t matter where Zeke served he was still very important to her.
