USS Falcon, Bridge

Ariana sat in the centre seat in her first bridge duty as Second Officer of the Falcon, looking at the view-screen as the fleet started to assemble and follow the Enterprise. She tapped her comm badge. “Commander Bagwell and Commander Rodgers to the bridge. The fleet are heading out Sir.

Ezekiel was the first to arrive. He had been waiting since 1000 hours for this call. As he entered the bridge, he looked over to Ariana. It was soo good to see her sitting in the command chair. "Commander." He simple said with a big grin, heading towards his chair.

Ariana moved out of the centre seat and across to her seat. Leaving room for Rodgers to take her seat.

"Commander Rodgers, signal Command, we are ready to depart." Ezekiel called out, as he got comfortable in his chair. He was already thinking about dinner for tonight. He was eager to catch up with Arianna, and he knew that Anna was just as eager.

“Yes Captain,” Sarah replied from her seat as she turned and notified command. She was more than ready for the mission and looked forward to working with Sam to make their part in this a success.

Anna felt the familiar excitement that came when they left with orders as well as a moment to pray for all of their safety. Her sickbay was ready for anything that came their way.

"Doctor, I assume sickbay is ready to go?" Ezekiel asked, as he looked over to Anna. He was so glad to see her on the bridge. Which was very traditional, for a ship leaving dock.

“Yes Captain,” Anna replied with confidence. “Well stocked and I am ready should the need arise.” She loved her job and took pride in it.

Ariana’s mind was on her son as she rested her hands on her bump. Anna had reassured her he was in no danger for now and she had time to have his condition corrected but she was wishing she had Hades or Carolyn there to
offer extra reassurance. Her mind would have to be on the mission and it would be, but for now she was a very concerned mother.

Ezekiel waited for Sarah's response. The USS Falcon, was ready to go. He was very proud of his crew. They were all amazing. Every last one of them. He was also happy to see that Arianna on board as well. He sat in his chair, waiting for the Admiral to give the word, so Sarah could tell him, they were cleared to depart.

The mission was going to be coordinated. So they all had to depart at the same time. They were going to hit their targets all at once. He hoped the other commanders, were up to the task. He knew he was.

“We have permission to depart, Captain,” Sarah informed him. She looked around at the others, knowing they were all ready as well. And Aubrey would be in the center of her engine room waiting for them to take off.

Ezekiel knew he needed to give a good speech, to start the mission. At the moment he was drawing a blank. He knew he would have to wing it. He tapped on the intercom button at his command chair. "Very well, all hands this is the Captain. We have been given the go ahead order to begin our mission. I have met with the senior staff, and they will be handing out your assignments. You can do this, I have faith in each and everyone of you. We have been through a lot together, and I have the upmost faith in all of you. Will complete this mission, and get back home soon. Good luck, and god speed to you all. Captain Bagwell out." Ezekiel called out, as he closed the channel.

"Mister Carrington, are the engines fired up and ready to go?" Ezekiel called out with a big grin on his face, as he looked over to Sam.

Sam was at the helm, and double checked his readings. "Yes captain, we are ready to go on your orders sir." Sam said, itching to get the ship under way.

"Very well, Number One clear all moorings and detach the umbilical." Ezekiel called out, as he looked over to Sarah.

Ariana sat quiet lost in thought before a the shift in her emotions triggered her mix of personalities and pushed her blended half to the fore. Up until now she hadn’t had any reason to trigger it off but now she needed that extra strength to get her through the task ahead. She looked at Zeke in a more emotionless fashion, something more akin to a Vulcan. “Let’s get this done Captain.”

"We will Commander, we will." Ezekiel said, as he looked over to Sarah. Waiting for her to give the all clear sign, or word to him.

“We are all cleared to head out, Captain,” Sarah called out. “Detached and ready to go!” She looked over at Bagwell, a look of confidence in her face.

"Mister Carrington, take us out 1/8 impluse power." Ezekiel called out with a big smile on his face.

"Aye Captain." Sam said, as he started to navigate the USS Falcon away from its docking birth on Starbase 400. They started to head towards the exterior doors.

"Captain, we are getting a signal from the Dockmaster, we are green light for passage out." Dustin said, as the green lights that directed ships out of the station illuminated.

"Thank you Mister Reynolds. Helm steady on course, until we clear the doors. Then proceed to the Unroth System." Ezekiel called out.

"Yes Captain." Sam said, as the USS Falcon continued to disembark from Starbase 400. Everything was going by the numbers. A very text book approach for a ship departure.

While they waited to go through the doors, Ezekiel briefly looked over to Ariana. "Commander all settled in, did Lieutenant Reynolds show you around?" Ezekiel asked, with a big grin on his face.

“The Lieutenant was very helpful” Ariana offered a smile. “I didn’t really need the tour but I appreciated it.”

"He was following my orders, its not every day a good friend of mine, and our interim second officer boards the USS Falcon." Ezekiel said, with a big grin on his face. He meant no ill intent. But he wanted her to feel special. She was going to get the full vip experience.

Ariana smiled. “Thank you Zeke, I appreciate you making me feel more at home. Things are a little ...” She paused. “What the other half of me is trying to say is she’s in a state at the moment and her focus may not be what it should.” Came the response in a slightly different tone of voice.

Ezekiel decided not to make a big deal of the first name slip while on duty, he would discuss it with her later. He might changing as a person. But there was still some protocols he preferred, at least when they were on duty and in front of the crew.

He smiled as he looked to Ariana. "You are among friends, will do our best to help you. You have dedicated your whole life to the service of others. It's the least we can do for you." Ezekiel said, with a big grin on his face.

“Thank you Captain” Ariana smiled sounding more like herself again. “I apologise for the slip a moment ago, it won’t happen again.”

"Don't worry about it." Ezekiel said, as the ship prepared to go through the big space doors, that lead from the station out into open space.

"We have cleared space dock.' Sam called out from the helm. He was eager to get the ship traveling.

"Punch it." Ezekiel called out, it was his clever way of saying jump to warp. It was not new or exclusive to him. But he liked the phrase.

The USS Falcon jumped to warp, the crew continue a little small banter back and forth. As the scene fades away.

Sarah looked around, smiling to herself at the way their crew worked so wel together.
