"Sorry to call everyone together, but we do not have a lot of time." Ezekiel called out. He looked around the room, at his senior staff. He took a breath, and then continued on. "Starfleet has given us our new orders and before we get into them, Commander Monroe will be joining us for this mission." Ezekiel called out, with a big grin on his face, as he looked directly at her.
Ariana offered a smile as she looked st Zeke, as much as it was nice to see him and be onboard his ship she was once again away from Stacie. She had promised Cameron she’d take care of herself whilst off station. “It’s nice to be back onboard again.”
“Welcome aboard,” Sarah said with a smile. “Lieutenant Commander Rodgers, we’re glad to have you join us.”
Anna smiled at Arianna. She was glad to see a friendly face join them. “It’s good to have you with us.”
“It’s good to be here with you again” Ariana smiled warmly she hoped she wouldn’t prove to be a liability in her condition.
"After the meeting, will get you situated on the Falcon. Welcome aboard Commander." Dustin said with a big grin on his face. Dustin serves as the chief of security for the ship.
"Welcome aboard Commander, its good to see you again." Sam said, he noticed she was pregnant again. He wondered why Starfleet decided to bring her aboard. They were about to go into a combat situation.
Ezekiel walked over to the main display console. " the Unroth System." He called out, as he went on. "According to our records, the system is vulnerable to attack. The task group, that usually protects the system, is not in place. Only 16 fighters and an escort vessel currently protect the planet." Ezekiel called out.
"What does the Admiral want us to do?" Dustin called out, not exactly sure what the mission was. Could it be a rescue mission, an attack mission. A surveillance mission?
"Were going to attack the planet. Commander Rodgers, you will assemble a strike team, your primary objective is to take down the shield generator. Will get you close to the surface, but you will need to take a shuttle down. Your window will be small." Ezekiel called out.
Sam wanted to volunteer for the mission. But it was not really his place, to make that suggestion. If Sarah wanted him to go, she would pick him.
“Yes Captain,” Sarah spoke you. “I would recommend taking Lieutenant Carrington with me on the mission.”
“When are we pulling out?” Aubrey asked him. She hadn’t introduced herself but she would as soon as the meeting was over. As chief engineer she wanted to be on top of things.
"Take whoever you need, Commander." Ezekiel called out with a big smile on his face. He did not want to tell who to choose. He had trust in her abilities.
"Shortly after this meeting, departure is 1000 hours." Ezekiel called out. "Once we depart, we will cloak and head for the Unroth System. Any questions?" He asked, waiting to see if anyone had any questions.
Sarah was good with his orders. She would meet with Sam and discuss their mission. He was the one person she wanted with her for the operation.
“Commander is there anything you need me to do besides monitor the crew’s psychological well-being?” Ariana smiled. “As much as I enjoy not having to worry about being xo I’d like to be useful.”
"I would like you to be my acting XO, when Commander Rodgers is leading her strike mission." Ezekiel said, then continued on. "So for this deployment you would be my Second Officer." Ezekiel called out, hoping she would take the offer.
“Congratulations,” Sarah said with a smile. She had heard good things about Monroe and thought she was going to be an asset to them.
“I would be honoured” Ariana smiled at Zeke, “and thank you” she nodded and smiled at Sarah. She just hoped Hades training and faith in her was well placed. She was about to find out now he wasn’t with her.
"Good now that's settled, we have a lot of work to do, to be ready in the next two hours." Ezekiel said, with a big grin. He was faking a smile. Deep down, he had his concerns for this mission. Mainly if they can pull it off. On paper it looked simple, but nothing ever went according to plan. And the Romulans are very treacherous.
"I want all crew on aboard, and ready to deploy. Shortly after 1000 hours, we will be conducting a few battle drills, while the crew is doing that. Commander Rodgers team will utilize the holodeck, to strategize out their battle plan." Ezekiel called out.
"Aye Captain." Sam said, knowing that Sarah was going to choose him, to be apart of her away mission. He had a good feeling about it.
"Yes Captain." Dustin said, knowing the crew would benefit from a few battle simulations. Dustin liked the simulations, his team always did well.
“Yes Captain,” Aubrey nodded. She was ready to head to engineering and do a final check to be ready to leave.
“Medical will be ready,” Anna said with a smile. She was happy for Ariana, she was fitting into their Falcon family already.
“Let’s do this” Ariana smiled. “Oh and Commander may I speak to you, and Lieutenant Woodhouse afterwards please.”
"Of course." Ezekiel said, with a big grin on his face. He was always happy to talk with Ariana. He knew that Anna felt the same. The rest of the crew left the conference room.
Ariana waited for the rest of the crew to file out before looking at Zeke and the Anna. “It’s good to see you both again” She smiled warmly. “Before we set off there’s something you have to know. I’m not me ... well I am, but I’m not, I’m ...” She paused and took a deep breath. “Long story very short ... section 31 implanted another personality in me when I was young, thanks to Hades she is under control and part of me now. I’m still ironing out a few personality changes, so if I start acting any differently you’ll know why.” She smiled.
“I will need to clear you,” Anna said quietly. “Regardless of your being cleared on the base, I want to do my own physical, just to be certain.” She smiled then. “I am so happy for you.” Seeing her pregnant made Anna hopeful for her and Zeke.
“That’s fine” Ariana smiled at Anna. It would give them chance to catch up.
Ariana looked at Zeke. “I feel like I’ll be a liability on this mission, I hope you don’t mind having a pregnant woman along?”
Anna didn’t see it as a problem but that seemed like a question for Zeke to answer so she looked over to him.
"Were alone, please feel free to call me Zeke." He started to say, as he went on. "Why do you think you would be a liability? First off, congrats. Second you would have not been asked to come along, if Starfleet did not feel you could pull it off." Ezekiel asked her.
Ariana nodded. “I guess you’re right, it’s just how I feel. I know it’s silly but there you go” She smiled warmly.
“You are an asset to us,” Anna spoke up. “I for one and happy you were chosen to join us.”
“Thank you Anna” Alicia smiled warmly. (You mean Arianna right?)
"I hope you will join us tonight for dinner." Ezekiel said, with a big grin on his face. He wanted to catch up with her. She was pregnant again. Clearly a story to tell there, but later tonight would be a better time to discuss it.
“Yes,” Anna smiled warmly. “It will be good for us all to catch up on things. She wanted to hear what had been up with Ariana as well.
“I’d like that” Ariana smiled. “I’ll look forward to it.”
"I would love to sit and chat, we have a lot of work to accomplish, and I believe Lieutenant Reynolds is waiting for you." Ezekiel said, with a warm smile on his face, as he started to walk towards the door. As they swish opened he saw Dustin waiting.
Ariana nodded and smiled. “I’ll see you later” with that she headed out. She had plans to head to Sickbay first but first she’d see what Reynolds needed her for.
“I guess I have a dinner to plan,” Anna said with a smile as she looked to Zeke. “I am looking forward to it.” And she headed off as well. The scene fades away.
