Mission: Episode 100 - A Hatred of Atonement
Location: Brig
Timeline: MD03 2145 hrs

Andrew Ignatious sat in the brig a wide smirk on his face, he'd been treated in Sickbay for the gun shot wound Freya had inflicted on him to save not only her own life but that of her husband as well. Not wanting to risk keeping him in Sickbay he'd been transferred to the highest security area of the brig.

The brig doors opened to reveal Bremer, Hurd, and Garibaldi all eager to get their hands on Andy. Plus Dr Mendez, the senior medic on duty when the victims were brought to sickbay. In addition to being on hand in case of their prisoner suffering complications from his earlier room, he was also on hands to make the official report on the medical condition of all of Andy's victims Ariana, Carolyn, Freya and Kaden.

"So what do I owe the pleasure?" Andy grinned his trademark sickly grin as he sat looking at the group. "How's my girl doing?" He smiled. "She puts up a hell of a fight but she's oh so sweet once she gives it up! I found that out a few years ago."

Standing at the back of the group, Mendez said nothing. Quite sure the man would be a fascinating study to his colleagues specialising in behavioural disorders. What he saw was a man who was showing no sign of regret. If anything he seemed ... pleased and oblivious to the trouble he was in.

Peter's face could be carved in to marble with how grim he looked. There was a pause and he spoke quietly to one of his officers, "get holoimages of him, I want a jury to know he came in looking like that."

"She's my girl you know!" Andy grinned. "Freya is mine, she doesn't really love that huge monster of a husband of hers! Both Carolyn and Ariana were...fun!" He grinned. "So don't you want to ask me any questions?"

“You seem to be have a few bruises, is that because the women you went after didn’t like your idea of fun?” Mendez asked curiously. Turning to Garibaldi he handed over a PADD. “I brought our official medical report."

"I like a girl who puts up a fight!" Andy grinned. "Freya puts up a hell of a fight but she likes it rough!!" He looked quite proud of himself. "I was going to have a family with her but you all made me hurt her, you tried to take her from me and I couldn't allow that!"

His face turning red and expression and blood running cold, Hurd pulled a Phaser from his hip and said, "You know how quickly I could kill you before anyone else in here can react?" Pointing it straight at him he said, trembling with anger, "One way or the other, Andy, I'm going to get my hands on you, and when I do, she will be the last person you ever hurt, consiques be damned!!", Hurd finished, holstering the phaser, an evil, sadistic look spreading across his face.

Andy stood and walked over to the forcefield taunting Hurd. “Awww concerned for poor Ariana are we? Or are you as fond of Freya and the ladies as I am!?” He grinned.

Peter turned to Gen Hurd. "Sir I don't care if you are the commandant of the SFMC or the Commanding officer of Starfleet, do not ever threaten a prisoner in my custody again, or I will have you removed."

Then to Andy, "You have the right to remain silent, please shut the hell up."

Turning on Peter, Hurd said, "I'll damn well say what I want, what I do however is a whole another matter". Looking back at Andy, still grinning, Hurd said, " Kepp on grinning, you'll get yours eventulaly" Turning back to Peter he Added, "Oh and and quick question, where were YOUR PEOPLE while she was being attacked anyhow?"

"My people were part of the search. But perhaps we can coordinate for the future so this doens't happen again."

Mendez observed the exchange with interest and bemusement. “At the risk of incurring the wrath of either of you fine gentlemen, I do not believe this is the time of the place and it is not helpful. Having overseen the care of all four attacked by this... individual... I would very much like to see him answer for his actions. I believe everyone wants that? If we could move on, I would like to get back to my patients as soon as possible.”

Andy couldn’t help but laugh even though it hurt, his injuries had been taken care of before he was incarcerated. Listening to the argument going on between Hurd and Garibaldi was fun. “Women! They cause so many arguments!!” His demeanour changed. “They’re Nothing if not troublesome! They need strong discipline and a firm hand!! You have to teach them a lesson or they don’t respect you!!” He didn’t even seem to care that he was digging himself into a deeper hole. “Freya made out she liked me then she ran off with that...that...monster of hers! I had to teach her a lesson!! She fought it but she liked it in the end! Just like Carolyn and Ariana they made out they liked me too. You should have let me show them!! They would have liked it in the end!!!”

His left hand balling up into a fist and the other reaching for the field controls, Hurd said, in a completely ftat tone, "One of my Marines, another innocent and my Daughter?" Turning to the others he said said, "All I need is two minutes, and I swear to God I won't kill him".

THis was getting nuts, if Hurd beat this man bloody inside a secure cell, he would trash the case, and right now investigators were pulling every inch of Andy's life and had served a warrant on his quarters, and on any and all communications, the suspect ending up beaten would do serious damage to the prosecution, and he'd have to arrest, charge and prosecute a man who he had no desire to, another life ruined by this vermin. Peter spoke up sharply, "General Hurd. If you touch that forcefield control I will stun you and put you in the next cell."

Then he spoke simply, "Look I get it, if this was my wife I'd want the same thing, much less my son. But the last thing I want is him to escape justice because his lawyer has some sort of brutality beef. I'm asking you sir, please trust me, I want no loophole his lawyer can exploit, This would be one."

His face red with anger, Hurd said, "Do. Not. Ever. Threaten. Me. Again." "I'm not going to touch him but I have now lost all faith in you, and Security in General, I do not trust any of you nor do I believe you are competent to do your jobs, but I'm not in charge of this base, because if I were, this would have never happened.", Hurd finished, turning his back on the group and studying the disgusting creature in cell in front of him.

“Ooooh listen to him!!” Andy laughed as he lay back down on the cell bed. “Why don’t you just let me out so I can finish what I started? I’ll make sure the ladies enjoy every single moment of it. Freya always wanted a baby, I was planning on giving her one! That’s if she survived. You forced me to hurt her! You were going to take her from me!!” He stopped talking his mood changing. "Now if we're done I'm not talking anymore!

As the visitors walked away he smiled to himself, his usual sweet sickly grin.
