Agtx looked around for a moment before walking over to Lennox, “Sssir, ordersss?”

Lennox looked around for a moment, “We need to get Engineering teams down here to get shelters made. We should also beam up the injured to the Mercy so Doctor Brislan and her people can treat them.” He paused, he knew they couldn’t beam everyone up. “We also need to get some food and water down here. Gunny, see what the Saratoga can beam down. I’ll report to the Major and see what else she wants us to do.”

USS Saratoga

From the Comm traffic the ship was picking up, Jax had a bad feeling that he should prepare for the worst case scenario.

"Saratoga to Major T'Lyn."

"Go ahead Colonel," T'Lyn stated with a somewhat annoyed tone.

"Two things. If you haven't started already, I need to you establish a Landing Zone that could handle as many shuttles as possible, to include designated transport areas. Second, and this one is going to be tough, start preparing the survivors for a possible evacuation. Please advise if you need the Reserve Company to come down to assist."

"I will get to that as soon as we finish with this rescue," T'Lyn stated as she continued to help getting the people out.

"By the way, has anybody checked the second settlement yet?"

"We were in the process until we had an emergency to attend to Colonel, I will get back to you on everything as soon as we are finished here." T'Lyn stated as she looked at Lennox and the others.

"Also, Colonel there will be no need to evacuate the planet. They will just need help with rebuilding, medical and supplies." T'Lyn stated to Jackson.

That was good news to Jackson. He hoped that these circumstances would hold. "Understood Major. Also, the Emergency Kits requested earlier should be showing up to your landing zone by now. They include shelters, food, water, basic med kits, and energizers. I also have the Medics from the Reserve Company beaming down. Let me know if you need the rest of the company."

USS Mercy

Sarah's nerves were all a jangle. She was busy trying to coordinate the patients coming onto the Mercy. Using Triage guidelines they were sorting patients into categories. Additionally, she was trying to make up extra ground kits for the medical personnel and Marine medics to take planet-side. She was glad she had the presence of mind at SB400 to include extra supplies on board. To say it was busy was an understatement. She knew soon they would start doing surgeries and she would be needed there. So, she handed her task off to another nurse and went to prep.

Main Triage was buzzing but orderly as patients were evaluated and prepped for major surgeries. Teams were beginning to return from planetside to be replaced by fresh staff. Tressa was walking through Main Triage towards the doctor's offices when she saw the latest group up from Hunster II.

"Doctor, what's it like down there?" she asked.

"Planetquakes are slowing rescue ops but there aren't as many major injuries as you would expect," her colleague replied. "Right now the biggest problem is getting clean water."

Tressa nodded; that was expected, two sources had become contaminated.

"We'll need to work with the Science officers to solve that problem. Go get something to eat and a shower," she said. The team nodded and left.

USS Ark Royal

Commander Coleman was coordinating several projects, which included the Venator working on another evacuation plan, a Plan B of sorts. However, it had been several minutes since he had checked in with all the ground forces and the Mercy on the status of any patients that were in need of care.

He looked over at the operations officer on duty and said, "Open a channel to all of our forces on the ground."

After a moment, the officer said that the channel was open.

Coleman looked up at the view screen, as if someone would pop up on it. However, he quickly realized that it was an old habit from years ago in the Diplomatic Corps. He quickly said, "All ground units, report."

With T’Lyn still talking with Jackson, Lennox reported in. “Most of the injured have been beamed to the Mercy now. Engineers have restored some power and they are working to drill a new well for fresh water now. We have a few teams helping with debris clean up, and we’ve started building several prefab shelters on the edge of town. Until a construction vessel arrives with full construction teams, we’ve done just about everything we can Commander.”

"Sir, from the reports that I have been getting, it will be awhile before things are what you say back to normal. But, in my opinion there is no need to evacuate at the present time." T'Lyn stated, "I also agree with what Lennox stated as well sir." She added looking at him.

After the reports of activity on the ground came in, he quickly switched his attention to the USS Mercy, the Olympic Class starship that was in orbit of the planet with the Ark Royal. He told the Ops Officer to open a channel to them and waited for the signal to open.

Coleman said, "Report Commander. How are the patients that are coming in?"

"Patients are dehydrated but responding to treatment," Tressa began. "We have a clean water issue planetside, the colonists' aquifers have become contaminated. My teams are still treating minor injuries and handling small surgeries on the ground; severe cases are being beamed to Triage for evaluation. These colonists are hardy folk, very disease resistant which is helping. We also have a field hospital for veterinary patients which is bustling, apparently it's lambing season on Hunster II."
