Mission: Mission 86 - Discovery
Location: Starbase 400
Timeline: MD1 1015hrs - Following 'New Mission'

Marine Ops

T'Lyn was down in Marine Country going over some things while the others were away. She seen the new Marine XO enter, "COlonel," Is all she said with no emotion.

"Hello Major." Jax was energized from his brief break on the Tirpitz, and decided to give the office one last look over before calling it a day. He was alittle amused by the Vulcan's lack of emotion, not in a bad way. "It is good to see you again. Do you need anything?"

"Not at the moment sir," came the reply as she looked at him.

"Very good. Your regiment is in order?"

"Indeed Major," T'Lyn replied as she raised an eyebrow.

"Is there something particular you want me to do sir?" She asked.

Funny she should ask, because he could use her help.

"Well, if you have no other matters to address, arrange quarters for the equivalent of an understrength company. They will be arriving within a few days. I will let the quartermaster know that we also have some upgraded equipment that will be arriving with them, for the division."

"Understood, will get on it right away." She said as she looked at him she wasn't to sure about the new Marine XO yet.

On the other hand, Jax was completely confident in T'Lyn's abilities. He sure appreciated the help.

"By the way, Commander Roebuck was talking about a possible meeting between him, and us. Do you know anything about that?"

She looked at him and raised her eyebrow, "no I do not Major." She replied, "I am sure we will find out in due time sir." The major replied.

"Very good Major. I am going to do a walk through of the division areas. I want to put a face with my name among our marines. Please let me know if you need anything."

She nodded and went on her way to get things done.

In the mean time, Jackson spent time walking through all the marine areas, and started to get acquainted with the members of the division. He learned over the years that people are more likely to put their lives on the line for someone they know.

Operations

M'Kota decided to head to Ops, once she entered she looked around and saw Acting Ensign K'Wor at his station. "Hello Ensign," M'Kota said with a toothy smile. "Reporting for duty," she stated looking at the young officer.

K'Wor looked up from Tactical where he was keeping an eye on the New Hampshire's progress toward the Triangle, "Ah, sogh." He replied. "Care to take Tactical Two for a while?"

"Will do," she replied as she walked over to Tactical Two and began work.

Diplomatic Office

Sasha was the only diplomatic officer aboard the station while the General was leaving and the Lieutenant was on the Essex. She went over reports that came in and drank her coffee.

Intel Level

Roebuck has made his way to Admiral Sevlek’s Office. He wasn’t sure how close the Vulcan Admiral would been keeping an eye on things with Admiral Bremer and Vice Admiral T’Lar away…but he thought it best he reported in anyway.

Once allowed to proceed, Roebuck was greeted by Lieutenant Commander Matthews.

Slade was just arriving at the office suite when another officer was arriving, "May I help you, Commander Roebuck?"

“I’m here to report to the Admiral, I’ll be serving as his Station XO while Admiral Bremer and Vice Admiral T’Lar are away.

"Alright, follow me." Slade entered his code and put eye to the biometric sensor unit and after a moment the doors slide open.

Slade entered the suite and walked towards Sevlek who was standing at the operations table, "Admiral, Lieutenant Commander Roebuck is here to see you."

Sevlek turned around nodding at Matthews, who moved off towards one of the banks of consoles, then acknowledged Roebuck, "Commander, you are serving as acting Executive Officer during Admirals Bremer and T'Lar's off-station actions. I have your first set of orders. Ensure that 6 VIP Quarters are prepared for the arrival of six members of the Federation Council's Security Council."

Roebuck nodded, "Understood, they'll be ready in an hour. I'll also have the Durga, Laffey, Constantinople, Lexington and Cutlass patrolling the sector with the Kearsarge and Vanguard patrolling in system." He paused a moment, then asked, "Should I assign Security or Marine escorts for them or will they be bringing their own detachment?"

Sevlek thought briefly, "Assign station personnel to supplement their own forces. Secure the accommodations in a high security area and assign guards." The thought of a Typhon Pact assassination was present. It was known to Starfleet Intelligence that there were at least 2 spies planted on Starbase 400.

“I’ll see to it personally” Reobuck replied.

Intel Office

Maal was siting in the Intelligence filling out the day's paper work as he was filling in for Captain Pike while he was on his honeymoon.

Medical Suite

Jason sat in his office, his head tucked down, and a PADD in front of his face. He reached out to grab his tea, the only highlight so far of his morning. There was nothing more than a nice morning cup of green tea to take the stress off. The stack of reports before him was high, and the stress from the transfer just days prior didn't help with sleep. It was almost as if Starfleet knew when he was comfortable and had a good routine and friend base, and would immediately transfer him to a new station, leaving behind friends and staff that he had grown accustomed to. He swiveled his chair around, his back now to the door.

"Lieutenant Romans." a voice spoke up behind him.

Jason turned, and a nurse was in his doorway, without even his acknowledgement, she began to speak. "We have a few supplies that are running a little low, nothing of major concern, but with Command Staff to be in the station soon it would be best to be fully stocked. There is a requisition waiting to be approved. Can we get that sent out today?"

Jason tapped his computer panel, and the screen came to life. "Sure thing. Let me review it first, and then..."

"Thanks!" She said as she cut him of and proceeded out the door.

Jason sat a bit puzzled, he didn't even know the nurses name, and didn't even have time to catch it as she just waltzed in and out of his office in such a quick time. He knew from past stations that nurses were the busy ones in the Medical Suites, and this just proved it.

He lifted his mug, "Cheers to a new crew!" he said to himself out loud with a sarcastic tone. His fingers moved over the screen before him, and began to review the requisition order.

Ops

Roebuck returned to Ops after speaking to Admiral Sevlek. He wanted to make sure the Station was secure when the six members of the Federation Council's Security Council arrived. He walked over to K’Wor at Tactical One…

“We have six VIPs coming to the Station, we’re going to need to increase Security.” Roebuck paused a minute, “Have Varn, M’Kota, Jackson, T’Lyn, and that new Doctor….Roman?”

“Romans sir.” K’Wor corrected Roebuck.

“Right, have them along with Maal and Ramata’tar meet in the Briefing Room in ten minutes…I’ll brief everyone together.” Roebuck ordered then walked over to Archer at Ops.

“You have Ops until Admiral Sevlek or my return. Have the stand-by crews aboard the Durga, Laffey, Constantinople, Lexington, Cutlass, Kearsarge and Vanguard ready the ships to depart. I want the Durga, Laffey, Constantinople, Lexington, and Cutlass to patrol the Sector while the Kearsarge and Vanguard patrol within the Kaleb system itself.”

Archer nodded at Roebuck, “Aye, they should all be away within the hour.”
