Mission:
Mission 86 - Discovery
Location: Runabout
Timeline: 2 days prior to MD01
ON:
Jason sat in his quarters aboard the runabout. His 3 cargo cases in the back of the small space craft mixed among the medical supplies also being transported. He stood and approached the replicator, "Iced green tea, shaken, non-sweet" He said.
The machine hummed to life, and then with a quick light, the clear glass appeared with ice and a lightly tinted liquid. He picked i up and took a sip.
"Ahhh," escaped his mouth as he proceeded to the small desk in the runabout. The accommodations were tight, but he was on the ship for one more day, over the course of the last 2 days he had realized that 3 days on a runabout was more than enough for him. He couldn't wait to hit the holodeck and get a nice ride in down the old Pacific Coast Highway in California.
"Computer, begin recording video," Jason said, since there was some down time, he had sent off memos and letters to his whole family, except his sister, the person he was closest with, only because he knew he was getting further away from her with this new assignment.
"Hey sis! I hope life has been grand for you and Andrew. Give Logan a hug for me please." He said speaking of her husband and son. Little Logan had grabbed his Uncles heart from the beginning. He dove into it, as his sister hated the beat around the bush tactics. "So there have been some major changes recently. Figured I should keep you up to date. Mom and dad already know, but I was recently assigned to Starbase 400 as their Assistant Chief Medical Officer. The move was quite quick. I was given less than a day to pack and ship off, and I am actually on the Runabout now. Luckily it’s not too much longer, this place is cramped, I can't wait to have a place larger to venture out to. Other than that things are going the typical speed for me."
He grabbed the small cross that his sister had sent him and held it up, "Still keeping the faith. This thing has been through some storms, but always seems to stand. Broke once thanks to a mild explosion on the previous station, but I know where there's some good epoxy that will hold just as new. It was nothing to big, just a little rattle. If you have sometime soon, shoot me a message please. I miss hearing that voice. Well, I figure you that is enough for now. Hope to see you soon! Bye Brat." As he kissed his thumb and pressed it to the camera. A tradition he had picked up from his mother.
Jason sat back, "End recording. Computer deliver video to Shay Favilla, Cultural Development Center, Clovis California.”
The computer beeped a few times signaling the delivery. Jason stood, he was feeling cramped and figure it would be a good idea to step out to the corridor and pace a while. It may be small, but he knew that he needed a larger space.
