Mission: Mission 82 - The Aggressor
Location: USS Durga, Bridge
Timeline: Morning after 'Engagement Party'

ON:
It was the morning after the Engagement Party and the crew and civilians that were returning to Starbase 400 were aboard the Durga.

Mike was on the Bridge talking with K’Temoc about the recommendations from the McKinley Station Engineering Team. They had made a slight modification to the ship’s inertial dampers and chroniton integrator and this promised to smooth out the ride.

Mike looked around the Bridge, “All Stations, report.”

"Tactical systems are nominal, sir." Ensign Brody was excited to return to base and get settled in.

After she arrived on the bridge, Anandra nodded smiles and greetings to those present in the immediate area, then simply found herself a seat out of the way and sat down. She was more than ready to get back to her new 'home', Starbase 400.

“All systems online and normal, power allocations set for departure, ready to adjust for Quantum Slipstream flight at your command sir.” K’Wor replied from Ops. He was eager to get back to the station, but he was sad to be leaving his new friend behind. He and Ashley promised to write and send messages, and meet again when K’Wor reported to Earth later in the year to start his career at Starfleet Academy.

Mike nodded as he looked around the Bridge at La Baron, Pike, and Harrison.

Alex acknowledged Mike with a responding nod. She settled in her spot, eager as well to get back to SB400. It had been a very busy few days and she couldn't wait to see her son and give him a huge hug.

Lee stepped off the turbo lift and nodded to Mike and the other bridge crew as he headed for his station.

Mike walked over to Pike. “The Kalua Pig, Long Rice, and Hawaiian Ambrosia were excellent last night, all the food was. Just please, never…ever…serve me Poi again.”

Lee gave a small chuckle:"Sure thing sir, and don't worry fresh gagh is being brought in for my wedding."

Alex stifled a laugh upon hearing about the Poi, something that she thought was nasty herself.

Mike then walked over and took a seat in the CO’s chair. K’Temoc looked around the Bridge one more time, then looked at Bremer. “All station report ready, the ship is ready to depart.

Mike nodded, then addressed the Ensign at Flight Control. “Ensign, break orbit, set course toward Starbase 400, full impulse.”

The Ronin class USS Durga turned away from the blue and green sphere and headed out into the blackness of space. Other ships were on the move too. A Galaxy and a Vesta were entering orbit of Earth while a Luna, Defiant, Sovereign, and Akira were also leaving.

As the Durga passed the inner marker, Mike spoke up, “Ensign, engage Slipstream, maximum velocity.” Moments later, the slipstream tunnel formed in front of the ship, swirling blue and green, and the Durga blasted away.

After the ship went to slipstream and all seemed calm and settled on the bridge, Anandra approached Admiral Bremer. "Sir." she greeted with a respectful nod, glancing about to gauge their privacy. She had spent much of the trip thinking about the Admiral and his loss, and naturally her concerns were still fresh. "How are you holding up?"

Mike looked up, "Actually, I'm much better now. It'll take time to heal all wounds...but I'm doing better. Thank you."


Just under four hours later, the ship dropped out of Slipsteam just outside the Kaleb system. She proceeded in at impulse and minutes later the mighty ship docked.

As the staff cleared the Bridge and headed for the access way and back aboard the Station they called him, Mike handed K’Temoc a PADD.

“Get this to the repair team aboard the Pegasus and assign another to the Essex. I want both ships upgraded with Quantum Slipstream Drives as soon as possible.” He handed K’Temoc second PADD. “Guard this one with your life.” He smirked before continuing. “I want these upgrades implemented aboard the Pegasus too.” He knew it meant his Flagship would be out of action even longer, but that couldn’t be helped.

K’Temoc took both PADDs and nodded, “Once Coleman and Gillo are back I’ll bring them both up to speed on these upgrades, we’re going to need them both to complete the work I think.”

Mike looked back at Harrison, Pike, Brody, K’Wor, La Baron, and Delair. “Dismissed everyone, enjoy the rest of the day.” He smiled at the crew, most of the still new to Starbase 400. It was still early in the day, so they could get settled into their quarters aboard the Station, visit the Promenade, and even check out their duty stations aboard the Station.

Mike had other business he needed to attend too…

Lee nodded:"Thank you sir" He then stood off to the side and waited for Alex.

Alex joined Lee. All she could think of was her son Paul.

"Aye sir, thank you." Anandra smiled, hopping up from her seat as she debated what to do with the rest of the day.

"Home sweet home," Brody said to himself, but loud enough for the others to hear.

Lee took hold of her hand and lead Alex off of the ship:"Come on let's go see Paul."
