Mission: Mission 80 - Outpost
Location: USS Saratoga
Timeline: Morning after the Pary

ON:

It was the morning after the big Christmas Party, and even though no one really wanted to be awake yet, there was a duty to perform.

Mike was in his dress whites, standing on the Bridge of the Akira class USS Saratoga. Vice Admiral T'Lar, Captain Pike, Lieutenant Colonel Hurd, and Lieutenant Colonel Harris were also there.

Mike looked around for a moment, then cleared his throat, "Good morning everyone."

He held a PADD which he glanced at for a moment, then looked up. "We're keep this brief, mainly because I know we're all only barely awake." He flashed a smile, then his face went back to a business-like expression.

"Lieutenant Colonel David Hurd, as of this date, you are requested and required to take command of the Starship Saratoga, Akaira Class, NCC-70074, based out of Starbase 400. Signed Admiral Mike K'Wor Bremer, Commanding Officer Starbase 400." He tucked the PADD under his arm, then extended his hand to shake Hurd's.

"Congratulations."

Reaching out and taking the Admiral's hand, he shook it, his head pivoting around taking in his new Bridge.

T'Lar also shook his hand as well, "Way to go Hurd."

Harrison waited for T'Lar to finish, then she stepped up to him, "Congratulations on this and your promotion."

Lee went over and offered his hand to Hurd:"Congratulations Colonel, the Saratoga is a fine ship."

Shaking Harrison's hand, Lt. Col. Hurd said, Thank you. Turning to Admiral T'Lar, David asked, ''Ma'am, might I make one more request?''

"And what request is that?"

Ma'am, if at all possible I would like Lieutenant Commander Torilla Yamaguchi to be assigned as my first officer.'' Pausing to clear his throat, he continued, ''I have read her service record, and it is quite impressive, and I feel that she would make an excellent XO.

T'Lar looked over at Bremer for approval before answering.

"Depending on the mission, that can be arraigned." Mike replied.

Mike looked around for a moment, the Bridge was humming, everything appeared to be in order.

"If you'll excuse me, I have a report to fill for Starfleet Command." Mike added before taking his leave.
