225 words; about a 1 minute read

Mission: Mission 78 - Colonial Uprising
Location: USS Yorktown
Timeline: Following K'Temoc's last post

ON:

Captain Harrison reported back to the bridge after she had rested. She took her post. She looked over at Pike who had taken over while she was off duty. She spoke softly, "What did I miss?"

Lee turned half way to Alex and spoke softly:"Gul Mavek’s ship, the Kreta was attacked by pirates."

"Another one?" She raised her voice slightly, "We are going after those who did this, right?" She was ready for a fight.

K’Temoc spoke up, “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We don’t know if a Pirate cartel is behind the attack on Mavik’s ship. They reported three of the Sydneys we’re tracking were involved as well as a modified Peregrine Interceptor. We don’t know if members of Pirate Cartels were piloting or if colonists were. Let’s concentrate on catching those three ships, then we’ll learn who.”

The Captain looked over the ship’s systems for a moment, “How long until we intercept?”

"Five minutes." Came the reply from the conn.

K'Temoc looked over at Harrison, "Charge phaser and load quantum torpedoes. Standby to decloak."

Her fingers danced on her panel, "Phasers charged, torpedoes loaded, standing by Captain."

Lt. Smith pressed a few keys on his station and turned to the CO "Cloak ready to be disengaged on your order, sir."
