Mission: Episode 110 - An Endeavor in Discovery

Ariana had returned home after her trip off station, she was looking forward to being reunited with Cameron and Stacie. Returning home she stepped enthusiastically through the door looking for her husband and daughter. “Cameron I’m home!”

It was a rare thing that caught cameron at home, but today he was " Hello love we are in the dining area." Said cameron as he put stacie on the floor so she could go greet her mom and then he winked at james who was sitting across from him in civilian clothes.

Ariana was ecstatic to see Stacie crawling in her direction, she was growing up so fast, and she was unhappy she’d missed out on so much. “Hey you!” She picked up her little daughter as best as she could given her bump. “I’m sorry, I didn’t realise you had company” She smiled warmly as she walked over to Cameron and gave him a kiss.

"Nothing to apologize for i was just catching up with a brother i did not know i had. James meet Ariana my fiance and the mother of that rugrat who has you wrapped around her finger. Ariana meet my baby brother ensign james wayne he just transfered out here as the chief shuttle pilot." Said cameron lightly he left ariannas rank out intentionally because he wanted to keep things informal."

"A pleasure ma'am it is good to know my brother found happiness after all this time." Said james as he stood and gave a slight bow to Ariana.

“The pleasure is mine James” Ariana smiled warmly. “It’s nice to meet another member of the family, welcome to the station.” She walked around to a seat and sat down, making herself comfortable. “So Stacie has you wrapped around her little finger already does she?”

"Well it helps that i have been on the station for a few days now and cameron was nice enough to invite me to join him and stacie for meals." Said james calmly. "Though having met you it makes sense where stacie got her looks from glad she did not inherit the wayne looks.' He added jokingly

Alicia grinned. “She might not have but maybe this little one will” she rested her hand on her bump. “Just over another couple of months to go.”

" That explains the glow you seem to be giving off any idea if I will be getting another niece or a nephew this time.". Joked james softly. "After all with my other two brothers dead without leaving any kids yours and Cameron's are the only ones I can spoil.". He added

Ariana looked at Cameron then at James. “We’re having a boy. I previously lost a son, Stacie’s twin, so this little one is extra special.”

"That is great to hear i look forward to spoiling him rotten who knows maybe i can get him interested in flying." Said James lightly. " Honestly though i need to get going supposed to check in with the doc and a councilor before i can officially start my duties." He added as he stoodup and headed for the door. " See you around big brother." As he stepped out the door.

Ariana gave Cameron a warm smile. “Another brother! I’m happy you have another family member, especially one based here. He’s going to have to check in with me for his evaluation unless I have Olivia do it instead.”

"That is of course up to you. He just surprised me when he showed up. I even had him checked out in medical cause i did not believe he was family. Turned out he was born a year after i left home and my family never told me about him." Said cameron calmly as he picked up stacie and tossed her up in the air a couple times making her squeel in laughter.

“I’m so glad to be home!” Ariana smiled as she watched Cameron and Stacie playing. “Ive decided I want to spend more time with you and Stacie, I know I’m on maternity leave now but even if I wasn’t I’d still be making this decision. I’ve been away from the two of you so much lately, I want more time with you both.”

"Are you sure love i mean i know how hard you have worked to get where you are. I do not want you to throw that away." Said cameron with a shocked expression on his face he knew of only two ways to do what she was hinting at. Either a transfer to a ground side station or resigning her commission, he honestly could not see her doing either of those.

“I’ll work it out one way or another” Ariana smiled. “I’m Chief Counsellor I’ve got an on station job, one where I can delegate to other members of the team. I don’t have to be spending every working hour away from the two, soon to be three, of you!”

"Well however it works out you will have my unconditional love and support." Said Cameron firmly.

Ariana smiled warmly. “Thank you Imzadi. So how’s about a family trip either off station, or we could hire out the holodeck for some uninterrupted time. I know next to nothing about you really, I’d like to learn everything there is to know about my future husband.”

"Next to nothing you know more about me then a lot of people do love. However if you can talk the admiral into loaning us a runabout I think it should only take us about three weeks to get there. I would say we could take my ship but she has not been repaired yet from the operation to retake the station and I honestly have not even had a chance to look her over.". Said Cameron calmly

"As for when we can leave let me talk to the repair yard and see if I can borrow one of their people for say three months and we can leave in the next couple days.". He added softly.

Ariana smiled. “That sounds wonderful. I’ll make arrangements to have the Counselling department covered while I’m away.” She smiled as she looked at Stacie happily playing with her educational toys, “she’s growing so fast, I’ve missed out on a lot.”

"True but there is still time and both Stacie and I know that your out there trying to make the galaxy safe for us.". Said Cameron softly as he pulled arianna down into a hug and a deep kiss.

Ariana responded wrapping her arms around Cameron’s neck, she smiled as she looked into his eyes. “I’m so very lucky to have you Cameron Wayne.”
