Having arrived in back on the station Ariana had given Freya time to visit and see Kaden, waiting until she'd taken some time to go home to go and talk to Kaden herself.
She breathed a sigh of relief as she saw him lying there, besides the fact that she hadn't wanted to be giving Freya any bad news, they had a prior history themselves and deep down inside Kaden still meant a lot to her. Walking over to his bedside he looked like he was dozing. She gently placed her hand on his. "Hey its me Ariana, I don't know if you can hear me but I have something I need to say to you"
She looked around lowering her voice a little. "I've never told you this before, but you mean more to me than you realise. We both have loved ones now, but deep down inside you still hold a place in my heart. You always have and always will, I just...wanted you to know."
Kaden couldn't exactly talk the scar removal specialist had his left side of his head and body bandaged up. Not to mention he was wearing a breathing mask over his nose and mouth. It was hard for him to talk but waking up to Ariana his first love and childhood friend confess her true feelings to him certainly made him wish he could say something. Only thing Kaden could do was take his right hand and slowly run it along her cheek.
Ariana was surprised when Kaden reached his hand to her cheek, she wanted him to know but at the same time she just needed to say what was there to be said. She smiled as she gently held his hand. "Hey, welcome back! I...I hope what I said won't change things between us. I just needed to tell you, it's something I should have said years ago. I'm sorry I didn't."
Again Kaden couldn't say anything but he just placed his index finger on her lips. He understood how she felt they both had a long history together since her mom took a job working for his family causing her to move to Earth with little Ariana. Right now he was in a lot of pain soon as he was healed up he like to talk to her about their feelings. But Kaden was fine just listening to Ariana talk.
Ariana nodded as she gently leaned forward and kissed him on a section of his forehead that wasn't burnt. "Get some sleep my friend, Freya will be back soon and you're going to need your strength to get well."
Kaden nodded feeling the need to close his eyes and go to sleep it was nice to know Ariana was around to watch over him. He wished Freya was also there right now so he could look into her lovely eyes. Deep down however he had many emotions going on it was hard on him he wished he could talk and air out things with his friend and counselor. But she was right Kaden needed to rest right now he could feel Ariana hold his hand as he fell asleep.
Ariana waited until her friend was asleep before letting go of his hand. Stepping away from his bed she was surprised to see Freya standing in the shadows behind her. "Freya...how long have you been there?"
"Long enough" Freya gave her husband a glance then looked back at Ariana. "It's okay Ariana, I understand. The two of you have a past history, I always knew that."
Ariana nodded. "He's yours now Frey, just promise me you'll take care of him."
Freya nodded. "Of course I will. He's my life and my soul, I'd be lost without him."
Ariana gave her friend a hug before nodding and heading on her way. She wanted to get home to Cameron and Stacie.
