Mission: Episode 99 - Exordium / Epilogue
Location: Various
Timeline: MD001 1200 hrs

"We have a little down time, and I managed to reserve us some holodeck time. Wanna take a stroll with me, through your old stomping grounds?" Zeke asked, as he started to get dressed. He just vacated the shower. He was hopeful that Anna would be up to going to the holodeck.

"Yes," Anna's eyes lit up. "I love that idea." she hugged him. "You always have the best ideas."

"I try." He said, with a big grin on his face. He knew it was a matter of time before they were called back to duty, with another mission. So far, since coming to the station, he was not placed on any special operations missions. He was thank for that. He enjoyed his down time with Anna. They started to head towards the holodeck together.

After spending some time in the holodeck. They started to walk back to their quarters, when Zeke noticed they had new orders for the USS Falcon. They were to patrol the Desica and Qualor systems. In a joint operation with several other support vessels. "Duty calls my love, grab your go bag." He said, with a big grin on his face.

Anna smiled widely. “I’m always ready!” She felt excitement full her. They had been given orders and were taking off.

"Glad we double checked, making sure sickbay was stocked up." Zeke said, as they started to head back to their quarters. Mainly to grab there go bags.

“Wouldn’t be good to be caught with our pants down,” Anna grinned at him.

"Very true, you always bring a smile to my face. What do you think of our mission?" He asked her. She had as much information, as he did.

“We are going on patrol,” Anna smiled. “Something that sounds pretty routine but I have a feeling it could be more than that. You?”

"Me too, we still don't know why the Tholians were spying on the Klingons. Now we get called back out. I have a feeling something is happening out there. We will find out soon." Zeke told her, feeling confident in his crew.

“We will,” Anna nodded. “And with our crew things will go well.”

"I was hoping for more time on the station. We will just have to find time to be together on the Falcon." Zeke said, imagining a lot of nights cuddling up on the sofa in their shared quarters.

“We will,” Anna smiles confidently. “In some ways we may have more time. I am looking forward to it.” She was too. They would be in more confined space, who knows maybe they would make that baby they both wanted while gone.

"That's wouldn't be so bad." Zeke said, as she leaned in for a kiss. He stopped himself, they did not have time for that. They needed to launch the USS Falcon, as soon as possible. He looked lost into Anna's eyes. Duty to work or duty to starting a family. He knew they would have time later. But she looked so good, standing there.

“Looking at me like that is going to delay our leaving,” Anna murmured, emotion in her voice. “But we both know we have to get the Falcon, out of here.”

Zeke nodded in agreement. He was not very pleased, but good things came to those who wait. Right? Or so he was told. He desired her, she desired him. But duty had to come first. "Your right." He simply said, she always had the best advice, and was normally right.

“I want to throw caution to the wind as much as you do,” Anna returned. “But we both know if we make one mistake they will rethink us serving together.”

"We can't have that. I do not want to imagine, not serving together." Zeke said, as he grabbed his go bag, and started to head out of the room. With Anna right next to him. Next stop USS Falcon.

Anna headed beside him. What was there to say really. They had to be their career first, for the time being.

Location: USS Falcon

Sam was already on the bridge, he was one of the first to arrive. He was was manning the flight operations station, more commonly referred to as the helms station. He heard the doors hiss open.

Sarah came in and headed over to where he sat. “We need to leave as soon as everyone arrives,” she informed him. She stowed her bag as she waited for his
Answer.

"I know, Commander. Starting preflight now." Sam said, wondering why they were taking off so soon. The ship barely had time to resupply, before heading back up.

She checked to make certain everyone else was on their way and then took a seat next to him, watching as he worked. “I am relieved the captain is a stickler for always being stocked, we just got back.”

Aubrey came on board. “Reporting Commander.” She informed the first Officer. “I’ll be heading to engineering if that is good with you.”

“Yes,” Sarah replied, looking over. “I will let you know when we are about to depart.”

Miller headed on her way to Engineering. She didn’t anticipate any issues but things happened.

Dustin had made his way up to the Falcon's bridge. He walked into the defiant class style bridge, that was the bridge for the USS Falcon. The design was very practical. Which he admired. "Afternoon, tactical and security systems are coming online." Dustin said, making sure his voice was loud enough for Sarah to hear him.

“Understood,” Sarah replied. “When the Captain arrives, he will want to leave almost immediately.” She turned to her console and started her own set of checks while they waited for Bagwell and Woodhouse to arrive.

"Correct number one." Zeke, almost appearing on cue. He was impressed with his timing to the bridge. "Lets get clearance to depart." Zeke called out, as he walked over to his command chair.

Sarah turned to Sam. “Contact the bridge and get our okay to leave, Lieutenant Commander,” she ordered.

"Aye Commander, opening a channel now." Sam said, after a few moments. He started to say with a big grin on his face. "We are cleared to depart."

"Outstanding. Number one will you do the honors, and clear us from station." Zeke told her, as he stood up. And offered her the command chair. He was testing her abilities.

Sarah walked over and sat down, pressing the comm she contacted engineering. “Lieutenant Miller, are we clear to depart?”

“Yes Commander,” Aubrey replied. “Engines are one hundred percent.”

She turned to the flight control officer. “Commander Carrington, take us out of sick, steady as she goes.”

"Aye Commander." Sam said, keeping his eye on the ball, but being very happy to see his girlfriend, be given a chance to fly the ship out of dock. The USS Falcon, began to pull out of the docking port. They were track steady for the bay doors.

"Helm when we clear the space doors, punch it up to 1/4 impulse power till we clear the zone." Zeke called out.

"Aye Captain." Sam said. After a few minutes, they had cleared the station space doors, and were heading away from the station. Sam had the coordinates locked into the navigational charts.

Sarah smiled to herself. She appreciated Zeke’s faith in her. “Patrol duty.” It wasn’t a question more of a confirmation of the orders given.

Sam watched closely, as the USS Falcon, drew further and further away. "We have cleared the system, Commander." Sam said, with a big grin. The scene starts to fade away.
