Mission: Episode 95 - Helping Old Friends
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Day 10 12.30hrs

Ariana was quietly humming and singing a tune to herself feeling better after her talk with Rol, he'd given her a whole new outlook on things and she was intending to make the most of enjoying her pregnancy and not dwelling on what she'd lost.

Marcus had been resting a bit but had soon returned. Now he was cleanly shaved, hair was done to perfection and he had got a shower so he smelled fresh. He had a small towel on his left hand and his right hand was holding a tray that was covered. He had a fake 'Petite handlebar' mustash on. "Mademoiselle." he said in the broadest fresh ascent he could do. "I will be your waiter tonight." he said as he walked over to her, looking very much like he had a stick up his ass. This was the effect with the short and quick steps he took to complete the style he was going for.

Ariana's smile beamed before she broke into fits of laughter at the sight of Marcus, "Ah Monsieur" she grinned, "may I ask what is on the menu this lunchtime?"

"Ui." he said as he sat down the food on a table that was able to roll over the bio bed. He lifted the top to show the standard tray of nesseseties for a pregnant woman. Everything from fruits, nuts to eggs. Several glasses of juice and water. "Here we have Bœuf bourguignon (beef stewed in red wine), a dish of Coq au vin (chicken braised in red wine, lardons and mushrooms), and a Éclair. They are all magnifique." he did the stereotypical kissing the tips of his thumb and index finger as they formed a circle. "As for drink we have a collection of Wine. The finest red wine, Chateau Picard." he held up a glass. "Here we have the finest white wine, Pinot Grigio." he held up the glass of water.

Marcus loved to see her laugh, he felt a little silly about all this, but it was to make her smile.

"Oh Magnifique!" she grinned as she took the glass of water and sipped it, ice cold just the way she liked it. She smiled as she picked up a plate of food and tucked in politely, everything tasted absolutely amazing. "This is wonderful Marcus!" she motioned for him to sit down, "I was just getting hungry too" she ate some more, it wasn't long before she'd polished off a plateful. "Would I look greedy if I ate that eclair?" she grinned.

"No. It's just eggs. Good for you." he said as he sat down. "I don't know if eating the real frensh dishes and drinking the wines would be good for your healthy or that of the baby." he was happy she was eating, to him it meant she was not thinking about the bad.

She nodded and tucked in smiling as she did so. "I had a visit from Lieutenant Rol, he helped me to see things... differently. I'm not going to sit and dwell on what was anymore I'm going to enjoy what is" she placed her hand on his hand then placed his hand on her stomach. "I have both of you and I intend to make the most of that."

Her words made him smile a great deal. "You have no idea how happy it makes me feel that you are not stressed about the tragedy. So what did you intend to name them?" he asked.

"I..." her smile faded a little, "I have no idea! I don't even know what I'm having yet I was going to wait until I knew what I was having before I chose any names." she brightened up again as Rol's words came to mind, "that's something you can help me with."

"Well, I feel a little uncomfortable about that. But. I have a way for the child to always carry their sibling around. You need two girl names and two boy names. If you get a boy, the boy will have the name of the brother as a second name and the same if it is a girl. That way the child is always there, living through the sibling. Or maybe I am just making it worse." he was worried he made her feel bad.

"I won't ever know what it was I was going to have now so we'll concentrate on what I am having" she smiled, "I'd still like you to help me choose though but obviously not until I know what I'm having."

"Even if we don't know. You can have the child carry the name. But that I will leave to you. I just wanted to help you cope. I will help, but in the end you must be the one choosing. If it was my child. I would happily do it. But since I am not the biological father, I would feel bad about naming it."

"Fair enough" she nodded understandingly grabbing some of the fruit he'd brought for her. "If I keep eating like this I'll be huge!" she grinned. "At least me being hungry is a good sign."

"Actually. You don't get fat on fruits. So you can eat that as much as you want."

"Oh I will" she grinned, "I'd really like to get out of here soon it's getting very boring being stuck in here."

"Oh yes, I forgot." he pulled a book from his inside pocket. 'The Illiad by homer' and offered it to her.

"Thank you" she took the book, "that'll save me from boredom, do you have many books?"

"No. I replicated that one. I have always liked the feel of real books, the smell of the paper, the sound as you turn a page."

She grinned "Then wait until you see what's in the boxes in my quarters, I have loads of books. I love collecting books, if you want to borrow any feel free."

"Stop teasing." he grinned.

"Seriously" she smiled, "I'll show you when I get out of here!"

"No, when we get out of here. We are going shopping remember?"

"You bet!!" her smile beamed, "Marcus... you don't regret what happened on the Falcon do you?"

He looked at her with an arched eyebrow. "What on earth makes you think that? Unless you have regrets."

"None at all" she shook her head, "I just... wanted to be sure. I'm looking forward to being cuddled up naked with you again."

"Your teasing again..."

"No it's a promise" she smiled "but next time you're taking the lead when we make love." She grinned.

"I rather liked last time."

Ariana smiled, "Me too" she grinned, "anyway... if you want any of those books you can feel free to go in my quarters and get some either that or I'll pick some up when I get my things to stay with you."

"Or we just knock the wall down. We are neighbours."

Ariana's eyes twinkled at the thought, "Do you think they'd allow that? it would make for bigger quarters perfect for a family" she smiled as she looked at Marcus.

"I highly doubt it. But it would give you full access to the bathroom I got. Could even have your bedroom as the nursery or something." he shrugged.

"You do come up with some wonderful ideas" she smiled, "how's about we speak with someone about it when I get out if here?"

"Yeah. I have no doubt it will be a no. But we might as well try right?"

Ariana smiled and nodded "it'll be worth a try, hopefully I'll be out of here soon anyway. I'll just need to pick up some clothes to save going backwards & forwards between yours and mine while I'm staying with you."

"We will get you new fresh clothes on the way back."

"Okay" she lay her head back all the food she'd eaten had gone down a treat and now she was feeling tired again. "I swear if I keep falling asleep I'll never get any work done during this pregnancy."

"Maybe I should stop feeding you?"

"No chance!" she grinned, "I look forward to those plates of food you do for me they're delicious!" she looked out to sickbay where the nurses were busy hounding out visitors, "looks like visiting time is over, hopefully I won't be stuck here much longer."

"Just give me a call when you are about to leave, I'll come and escort you."

"I will I promise" she hopped up off her bed and slid her arms round his neck gently placing a kiss on his lips.

He happily kissed her back. "Now sleep." he placed her on the bed.

"I will" she lay her head back on the biobed and waved him off, truth be known she couldn't wait to get out of sickbay now all she had to do was wait.

Marcus smiled, bowed and left with the tray, the water and juice he left.
