Mission: Episode 94 - Return to Rashanar
Location: Various Ships
Timeline: MD2 1705hrs, Following "The Boneyard Pt4"

ON:

USS Falcon,Bridge

Still looking at the screen, Hurd said, "Falcon Actual to Conqueror Actual and Fighter command, please confirm shield changes have been made, and you are herding those pirate vessels into the target area".

Deborah was itching to spring her trap,, A warrior at heart,, She wanted a victory to celebrate with her Mate.. Calthier would approve.. Things were slowing,, She was "In the Zone.." She hoped the ships systems would keep up with Her.. If possible getting some blood for herself would make this all the better....

"Confirmed Colonel. My birds are good." Ed responded from his position at the rear of the Conqueror's bridge. "I almost feel bad for those bastards. But not quite."

Gunther nodded as he heard his CO's transmission. He double checked to see that his shields were properly modulated.

Walking to the forfront of his Bridge, Hurd was seething with range. For a moment He seriously considered just destroying the pirates that had been looting the Paris Island. But no, no, this would be far sweeter. Still facing the view screen and not turning around, Hurd said, to his Bridge and those listening,"Spring the damn trap and shut those bastards down!!!"

Deb turned a dial a hair and slapped a panel.. The pulse went out.. coiled, rebounding off the starfleet ships.. It quickly caught there prey, knocking six ships out in milliseconds.. Deb and Amir Hissed in conquering approval. "Systems nominal.. Ready for full assault Colonel.."

Smiling a wicked, viscous smile, Hurd said, "Inform all ships to lock weapons on those pirate vessels, and begin beaming those bastards into their respective brigs, and as soon as that's done, destroy the ships".

"All weapons are armed and trained on their primary power sources. Our brig is full, Colonel. 25 Prisoners total. I had Sgt Calthier stun them as they beamed aboard" Patrick said.

=/\=Falcon Brig =/\=

"Sgt Calthier to Colonel Hurd. All prisoners are secured. Mostly Human and Orion, Sir" the Caitian reported.

"Very Well Sarge, keep them in line", he said over the comm channel, closing it. Turning around, Hurd said, "McMichaels, Casion, i want the ship we beamed those prisoners from searched from stem to stern for anything stolen from the Paris Island or any other ship in the boneyard." "If anything is found, tag it for immediate beaming back here, and once you get back, we are destroying that ship, understood?" Looking around the Bridge, he spoke again. "McMichaels, you will lead that Mission, Casion, i need you and First Lieutenant Henry here with me understood?"

Patrick nodded and saluted. "Aye Aye Colonel. Sergeant Calthier. Have alpha squad and yourself meet me in transporter room 1. Armed and ready "

"Roger, Major " the Caitian replied. "Alpha squad, with me" he said.

Henry nodded at the Captain as he heard the instructions.

"Ok Amir.. Watch your back.. Feel everything... Nothing is as it seems till you can touch it..." Deborah insert the sensor protocol for Amir into the ships systems. deb didn't trust anything off ship.. "Be careful baby girl.." Deborah said.. 'I got this.." Amir said. Deborah attached the micro sensor to Amir's middle.. She popped out a second later..

When she arrived she was surprised at what she saw. Bodies were in front of her, likely killed when the whole was partially covered by a struggling shield emitter.. the sensor unit sent back everything...

"Ok, what am i looking at here?", Hurd said raising one eyebrow.

It made her sick and angry.. She wishes Calthier were closer.. She could use his strength.. "Deck 8, aft of sickbay forward of Impulse engineering... Hull breach 97% shield coverage..." She wanted to hit something and retch at the same time..

Amir moved through the shield to the outer hull and the devistation was,, beyond description.. Through tears Deborah recorded everything...

His face turning red, Hurd asked, "Is this aboard the Paris Island, or that Pirate Vessel?"

{GO ahead baby..} Deborah was fighting a slew of emotions.. Amir skitters around mangled hull.. The older Enterprise class bridge module. itself shoot throw.

Henry was speechless. Up to this point, he thought that he saw all that was to be seen when he fought the Klingon rebels. He was wrong. Before moving on, he made a silent prayer, and then moved on.

USS Conqueror Bridge

Andre breathed a sigh of relief as he watched the raiders ships all shut down. "Nice one, Falcon", he muttered to no one in particular.

He looked over at Dalenna and David. "Liaise with the other ships and start getting the raiders crews on board and into the brigs. You both better attend the brigs to make sure it goes smoothly. Once we have all their personnel on board our ships I want their ships searched."

Dalenna, along with Hurd, started coordinating with the ships. She looked over at Hurd, "I'm going to the brig. As soon as everyone is ready, they can start beaming them aboard. Join me as soon as you can."

"Understood Ma'am, might I inquire as to what you will have me doing there so I can be prepared?

She stopped for a moment, then walked over to him, "Your my back up in case they cause any trouble." She started to walk away but then turned and looked at him once again, " Oh, we'll need to get several search teams together."

"Understood", Hurd said grabbing a Phaser from the Bridge Arms Locker. Looking at her he added. "I cant believe my Dad pulled that off, can you?"

Dalenna shrugged, "I can. Nothing and no one surprises me anymore." She motioned to him after getting hers, "Come on. Let's get this over with."

USS Ark Royal, Bridge

With the Pirate Vessels now subdued and trying to retreat, Jack saw a message appear on his com screen as he stood at the aft Auxiliary console. The orders were to beam aboard the crews directly to the brigs of each Starship.

He nodded to the helm. "Helm, take us closer to the nearest Pirate vessels and get within transporter range," he said before pressing the com button on the panel before him.

"Transporter Rooms, as soon as you have a lock on them, start beaming the prisoners to the cells in the Brig...and make sure the guards are doubled," he confirmed.

USS Paris Island

Patrick, Calthier and alpha squad beamed onto the Bridge. "McMichaels to Hurd. Colonel, the bridge is a disaster. There is auxiliary power. I'm having Sgt Calthier and alpha squad search for remains " he said then turned to Calthier. "2 man teams, stem to sterm" he ordered.

"Right away, Major" the Caitian replied and they split up for the search.

"Understood, keep me informed, Hurd out". Turning back to Casion he said, "So is this the Paris Island we are looking at Casion?"

"What's left of her." Deborah said.. Gods she wanted Calthier,, Her heart was broken...

Henry, and another Marine split off from the away team members that headed for the Bridge. He felt both sad, yet honored to be among this fallen Marines around him. He made it down a gangway to deck 5, were the billets were. Seeing that the doors looked forced open, he investigated further. The emotion known as rage entered his mind when he figured out what happened. He hit the comm switch on his helmet. "Major, the crew quarters and billets appear to have been looted of personal belongings."

Amir crawled swiftly to the torn open bridge.. No remains there but blood stains and sparking ruined structures,, It was devestating... {Someone Please tell me we get our hands on these bastards..} Amir echoed Deb's tortured thoughts..

"Damnit! Very well 1LT. Proceed to Security and see what you can salvage from there" he ordered. "Sgt Calthier. Meet 1LT Henry in Security and assist him in salvaging whatever you can" he said. =^= McMichaels to Hurd. Colonel sir. The pirates have looted most of the billets of personal belongings. I've ordered 1LTHenry and Sgt Calthier to salvage whatever they can from Security. I'm going to try to download what I can from the computer core =^=

Calthier headed to Securiy, leaving the rest of alpha squad to finish searching Engineering and Medical. He walked into Main Security. It was trashed. Most of the weapons lockers had been picked over.

"Yes Sir," Henry replied as he already started off towards Security.

"Keep the channels open men, let me hear what you need", Hurd said sitting down in his command chair.

Amir moved down the turbolift shaft and then into a Jtube. It was ll mangled steel.. With body parts.. Deb cried in anger and continued recording.. She was having trouble fighting the urge to storm into the brig and just start killing the pirate crews...

"Colonel.. There's little more Amir can do.. There's no threat.." "Do you want her to return??.." Deborah said this with a begging,, raging bent {Easy honey, You can do this..} Amir said to her young companion..

"Bring Amir Back, and have somebody get my Body Amour, im going over there." Hurd looked at Casion, and could see the pain in her eyes, and knew it was going to be bad over there.

Keeping Deb at a distance was smart.. She was struggling.. Amir popped back in, resting on the console.. Deb removed the sensor pack and Amir climbed up her chest, nestling in the nap of her neck.. Deb was nearly frozen.. She'd sent word to the col. armorers and tried hard to keep from breaking...

Henry arrived to Security. It was in disarray as to be expected. The Armoury doors were already opened. Of course, most of the weapons racks were picked clean, and on a Marine ship, the armoury was full of goodies that Starfleet Security would only dream of. Not only hand phasers, and rifles, but heavy support weapons, and grenades were obviously missing.

Looking at Casion, Hurd could tell she was upset, Walking up to her, he put his hand on her shoulder and said, "It going to be ok, just try to calm down".

It was So ugly!! Deb needed her Cait.. Just curl into his protective embrace and Not be the strongest thing in the Universe!!??

After she had finished speaking, Hurd asked, "Whats the status on my armor, and also, im going to need a body bag along with it, because i intend to bring the Paris Island's Captain home."

Through tears Deborah said.. "Your maneuver pack is coming up to.. The CO is not far away.. I have his remains on sensors.."

"Good", Hurd said. Turning back to the screen, he looked at the ruined hulk of the Paris Island. On the inside he was screaming with rage, fury, and sadness, but did not let it show on his face or in his actions. Speaking to Casion while he was still staring at the screen he asked, "Can we extend our sheilds around the Paris Island, and if we can can we initiate a power transfer to bring her Emergency power back online, restore her artificial gravity, and use force feilds to seal those hull breaches?"

Being alot closer and with no threats Deb had Alot more flexibility.. Having an attainable goal helped as well.. "I get something worked out Col.." She said.. She turned and She Amir got to work...

Three minutes later power was restored, Not fully but enough to get things done... "All Away teams,, Remain IN YOUR SUITS.. There is no way to tell when this patch will breaks..."

USS Conqueror Bridge

With Dalenna and David off the bridge, Andre took a moment to organise his thoughts. Looking over at his XO, "R'nard. Take a security team and help with searching the raiders ships. Liaise with the other ships to see where they need extra personnel."

Finally, something to do. "I'm on it, sirr," he said. He left to gather a security team to help him search. He was in his element now.

Paris Island

Patrick tried typing in command codes thst were universal to all starships. He managed to get access to personal logs and data recordings. =^= McMichaels to Hurd. Colonel, I need to send these logs for the Paris Island to the Falcon. Its becoming corrupted and needs to be cleaned up. Maybe we can make some sense out of it =^=

"Understood, begin the transfer, and also , if you can, flash download everything else in the ship's computer core, and then wipe the core clean, we don't want anyone to get ahold of any of that information". Still transfixed looking at the ruined hulk of the Paris Island, Hurd added, "Give me a sit-rep, and be advised, we are going to try to bring Emergency power online over there, thereby restoring artificial gravity, Life Support, and containment fields to seal off those hull breaches"

Patrick checked the transfer. "File transfer commencing, Colonel. Roger further orders. I'll have Sgt Calthier meet the team in Engineering. Ill keep this channel open" =^= McMichaels to Calthier. Colonel Hurd is sending a team to restore emergency power. Meet up with them in Engineering then secure the weapons for transport back to the Falcon =^=

=^= Acknowledged Major. I'll be in Engineering momentarily =^= he replied then turned to 1LT Henry. "Lets finish here, LT. The Major wants me in Engineering" he said then turned to alpha squad. "Alpha squad, get these arms to the bridge for transport to the Falcon" he said then headed to Engineering.

Slipping into his armor, Hurd said, "Casion beam me directly to Main Eginnering on the Paris Island".

Deb took a deep breath.. "Engineering is wrecked sir, be careful.. =^= Engineering team one The Col. is joining you, same plan, Do what you can to shore up vital systems. regain local control.." "Roger Captain beaming over now.." =^= The Col. dissapeared at the same moment...

Knowing that the Colonel was now aboard, he contacted him with his findings. "Henry to Colonel Hurd, is is now known that the Armoury was cleaned out. But it must be noted that it was not only small arms. There are heavy support weapons missing as well. "

Shaking his head in anger, Hurd replied back, "Goddamn vultures, alright Henry finish up and head back to the ship".

"Roger that." Henry replied. After downloading both the weapons inventory, and recording a scan of what was actually left the in the Armoury, he beamed off the ship with the Marines that accompanied him.

Looking around the devastated room, the only light coming from flickering and sparking consoles, Hurd was mad. Nevertheless he had a job to do. tapping his combadge, he said, "Hurd to McMichaels, report to my location, we have a job to do.

Patrick heard the order and headed to Engineering. =^=Roger that, Colonel=^= He wasn't looking forward to this but it needed ro be done.

After about 90 minutes with Casions guidance they'd performed a miracle.. Part of the ship, deep within it's engineering section. they'd secured the power grid enough for a skeleton crew and towing...

Afterwaiting for what he considered far too long, Hurd tapped his combadge and said, Hurd to Casion, don a EVA Suit and transport yourself i to the Paris Islands Bridge, whe have one more solemn duty to do, and aslo, any messages come in for us?"

Deborah knew without asking what that meant. As she had her suit beamed to the bridge sge took several long deep breath's She was going to need Calthiers strength and comfort tonight for sure.. Three minutes later she beamed directly into the Gutted bridge.

Seeing open space from this vantage point was just... Wrong.. She did however find the colonel's body, Using her maneuver pack she took hold of the honored dead.. =^= Colonel Hurd, I've got the deceased..=^= Her voice shattered...

"Good, beam us home, one Angel aboard".

Her tears were unrestrained as she programmed in the multi-vector beam in.. The forward end of the main hanger bay was already arrayed for this task.. As soon as she was solid Deborah set the deceased on the deck. Falling to the deck beside him, Deb wept like a terrified little girl...

Henry took some initiative, and volunteered some Marines for a detail to properly receive the Late Colonel. As he watched the Captain weep, he had second thoughts about his idea. Taking a deep breath, he carried on with his task. "Commanding Officer, USS Paris Island, arriving. Detachment, Attention!" The Marines in his detail snapped to attention. "Present Arms!" The group rendered honors by saluting. On cue, another team of Marines marched over to the remains in a hover gurney. Henry walked up to the group, and stood there, waiting for the captain to let them perform their task. "Captain Casion?"

Colonel Hurd, red faced and almost tearing up, walked over to the gurney on which the Colonel's body lay. Reaching into his uniform pocket, he unfolded and draped a Federation Flag over the Colonel's body, and placed a Officer's sword on his chest. Stepping back he saluted, and said quietly, "Good job and rest easy Marine".

She wasn't built to Handle this.. Her tears turned to a searing Rage.. Ripping off her helmet she flung it across the bay as she let out a gutteral scream.. After a few seconds she collapsed again. Eyes rolling back she whispered "Calthier..." Than blacked out..

Henry stared at the Captain, who was down on the deck, then looked at the flagged draped gurney. Uncomfortably, he ordered the team to take hold of their part of the gurney. "Face!" The pallbearers and the Lieutenant turned to face the doorway. "Forward march!" As the team started to move in step, he uncomfortably stepped over Captain Casion, and continued with the team out of the shuttle bay, and onward to the ship's morgue.

Calthier heard Deborah's cry and ran to her, gathering her in his arms. "I'm here, Deborah " he whispered.

She felt humiliated for breaking down next to the honored dead. Didn't know what it would mean.. {Take me away please I Beg You!!} Amir who had seen plenty of death in all her years remained close and silent...

Patrick remained stoic. Returning any officer was a solemn duty. Every one of them deserved the honor of a proper burial.

USS Ark Royal, Bridge

With the salvage effort underway on the Paris Island, Jack decided this was a good time to take stock of the situation. Walking back over to the command station, he pressed the comm button on the arm.

"Solomon to Senior officers and Team Leaders, please meet with me in the Observation Lounge in ten minutes," he ordered before closing the channel.

He nodded to Lieutenant JG Young to take the Conn as he headed over to the Observation Lounge to start his own report and to see how progress was going.

Croesus completed the last of his duties and arrived first for the debriefing.

"Commander reporting as ordered," Croesus stated.

Blackthorne had just finished inventorying everything they had been able to salvage so far when he received the order to report to the Observation Lounge.

A few minutes later he arrived with a PADD and a cup of coffee. "Warrant Officer Blackthorne reporting as ordered Commander."

Jack nodded to both Croesus and Blackthorne as they entered the room. "Take a seat gentlemen, we'll get started once the others arrive," he explained.

Once the others had arrived, Jack pressed a button on the panel infront of his seat and pulled up a list of the ships they had made contact with.

"So, with the fleet in the Boneyard now on standby until we have reinforcements arrive from SB400, here's a list of the ships that we have made contact with and recovered items and ordnance from," he explained.

Looking back at the officers gathered at the table, he continued. "Are there any observations or points to be made about what we've recovered so far?" he asked.

USS Kearsarge, Bridge

The tactical console beeped. The tall Capellan Ensign tapped a few buttons then spoke up, "Commander, incoming transmission from the USS Rock Island. They'll be arriving with a small task force to continue the work we started in about an hour. They say they also have two detachments from the Starfleet Corps of Engineers with them."

Roebuck looked over the sensor readings for a moment. "Acknowledge the message and advise the Conqueror Ensign. First Ramata'tar, send the Rock Island our full tactical report as well as a list of ships we've already cleared."

"It will be done." Ramata'tar replied.

"Sure has been a long day." Lieutenant Cole added from the Science Station.

"A day, feels like we've been here for weeks." Archer replied from Operations.

"We'll maintain a defensive position near the USS Mercy until the Conqueror gives the order to fall back to Starbase 400. Keep an eye out for any more scavengers."

USS Conqueror, Bridge

Andre nodded as the comm officer relayed the message from the Kearsarge. "Excellent, Lt. Make to all ships that we will be withdrawing once the Rock Island and its team arrive. Send a separate message to the Falcon, so they can finish up on board the Paris Island."

"Aye Sir", was the only reply from the comm officer. As she got to work sending the messages, Andre tapped his comm badge, "DaSilvor to R'nard, Dalenna and David. The Rock Island will be arriving in an hour. Make sure we tidy up before they get here."

Dalenna looked around then at Hurd, giving a quiet sigh, "Understood. We are almost done here." Afterwards, she tuned again to Hurd, "What kind of a name is that...The Rock Island?' She chucked a little, "You heard the boss. I'll finish here. You go ahead and get done what you need to do to get ready for the...Rock Island."

"Aye Ma'am. David said turning to walk away, still fuming at these orders.

"All is done, sirr," said R'nard. "I'm heading back."

USS Mercy, Bridge

Hades was on the bridge watching as they started moving off towards the medical ship. Their goal was to bring back as much equipment and supplies as they could. As the Mercy started moving off towards the medical ship he headed to his ready room to make a call to Roebuck.

Meanwhile in Cargo bay 3...

Eviess was at Cargo bay three when Matthews go there. She looked around. "What the hell is going on?"

William looked at Eviess. "We've got casualties incoming. We'll need to secure this bay for triage" he said .

Something about this wasn't sitting right with Eviess. "Alright but something in my gut is not sitting well." She had heard they had a last round of casualties and then they were moving on.

William set up multiple triage beds with force fields around each one. Whatever happened over, he had to prevent it from spreading and spilling out here.

Eviess started working right away. Her fist treatment was a mangled leg. She shuddered never getting used to seeing this. She looked at William, "I'm going to need your help."

William walked over to Eviess. " Lets tear away the cloth and clean it up. Get a better scan

"We have to get him in the OR, have you ever worked on something like this?" She asked. She wanted someone who was as experienced as she was in the OR and she hoped that he was.

William looked at the cargo bay. It was as secure as It was going to be. "Alright. Let's move him and get him patched up" he said.

Eviess worked with the other staff to move him and get him on the proper table. Silently she and William scrubbed in.

They worked in silence and together they stabilized the patient. Eviess turned to William as they were cleaning up. She smiled, "You are a very good doctor."

William smiled at Eviess warmly. "I'm just a doctor doing what I can for those who can't do for themselves. But thanks, Eviess. You're pretty good yourself" he winked at her.

Eviess gave a nod. She headed over to the wall panel and checked the status read out. "It appears that the hard part is over."

Just as she'd finished talking the speaker came on.

=/\=Attention Mercy crew. We are currently heading towards a medical ship. Our mission is to pick up as many supplies and salvage as much equipment as possible. ETA is 1 hour. Prepare away teams.=/\=

William swore under his breath. Then he looked up at Eviess. "I'll get prepped if you want to stay with the wounded til he's stabilized " he said, seeing the pain in her eyes. He wanted to comfort her but thought better about it.

Eviess was too tired to argue. She sighed and gave a nod. "Very well."

William went to suit up for the away mission. He was as ready as he could be.

USS Conqueror

With R'nard, Dalenna and David still off the bridge, their places were being covered by backup officers. Turning to the tactical officer, "Lt Amster. See if you can get the Rock Island on the long range sensors. Unless they are coming in at high warp, we should have them by now. "

"Aye Sir", and Amster immediately starter long range scanning. A minute later he looked up from his console, "I have them Sir. They are coming in fairly fast".

Andre turned towards the main screen, "Put it up on the main Viewer, Lt"

"Aye Sir", and he started tapping commands. On the main screen the image changed from stars to a top down tactical view. Andre watched it for a while, then turned to the comm officer, "Ensign, open a channel to all ships, please"

Drew Hark immediately opened a channel and started hailing all the ships in the group, "Channel open, Captain. Just waiting for the other ships to respond."

His job finished, R'nard returned to the bridge.

USS Mercy, Bridge

They had spent a long time harvesting the medical ship but they had gotten a lot of usable items. Hades had just transported the last of the salvageable equipment onto the Mercy and the last of his away teams when the call came in.

"Doctor Hades we've got a hale coming in from the Conqueror ."

Hades sighed and dropped down into the command chair, "Signal that we are ready and listening."

"Aye sir," the ensigns hands flew over the consoles. "Hail acknowledged channel open."

USS Kearsarge, Bridge

Roebuck stood as Ensign Krall opened the channel. "Kearsarge here Captain."

USS Falcon, Bridge

"Falcon Actual here, go ahead.

"Ark Royal here Captain. Commander Solomon is working on helping to inventory the equipment we recovered sir."

USS Conqueror, Bridge

Andre nodded to Roebuck, "No need to stand, Cmdr." then to the rest of the officers now showing on his segmented screen. "We've just picked up the Rock Island and it's escorts on the sensors, so they will be here soon. I'm going to put a skeleton crew aboard one the pirate frigate and pilot it back to SB400. It cannot hurt to have a ship that can infiltrate pirate bases now and again. How long will it take to have your ships ready to leave and any questions?"

"Falcon Actual to Conqueror Actual, we can leave within the hour".

"Mercy is ready to go. We brought the last of the equipment that's usable on the ship." Hades said taking his seat in the big chair. He still wasn't used to this.

"Kearsarge is also ready to depart. Our reports of which ship's we visited have been forewarded to you and the USS Rock Island."

"Ark Royal is ready as well Captain." Blackthorne reported.

He looked over at R'nard, "Commander. Take Lt. Hurd and a skeleton crew, secure the pirate frigate and make it ready to depart. The Conqueror will stay with you on the journey home".

"Understood, sirr," said R'nard. "Lt, you are with me." He chose several others and left for the transporter room.

Looking back at the screen he continued. "The Conqueror will be moving back to the edge of the debris field as soon as we have made the captured frigate ready. When you have all finished your preps join us there and we will all head back to SB400 together. DaSilvor out".

With that he signaled to Ensign Hark to cut the connection. With everybody now working on getting ready to leave, he got up from his chair and walked to the observation lounge.

Andre spent the last few moments waiting for the rest of the fleet to gather together looking out of the observation port, at the debris field. He still struggled to picture the battle that must have raged here. He took one last look at the wreckage, then turned away and walked back out on to the bridge.

He looked at the view screen and the ships now gathered at the edge of the debris field waiting for the order to return home. Without turning to look at him, he spoke to Drew Hark. "Ensign, signal the other ships to depart."
