Mission: Episode 92 - More Questions than Answers
Location: Docking Bay/Sickbay
Timeline: MD5 - 1000h

ON:

Jewel was sitting in her quarters when she got a comm channel for her to come to the docking bay immediately. She raised an eyebrow wondering what was going on that needed her presence down in the Docking Bay. She got up and made her way down. After about 20 minutes she arrived and looked at the docking master. "What's going on?" Jewel asked as she looked at him.

"Can you come with me?" he replied.

Jewel followed him to a room and when they entered and Jewel seen two children that would be 13 years old. She looked at them and her heart almost dropped to her stomach. Tears ran down her face as she seen her twins standing their. "How....." She managed to say.

"So they are yours?" The docking master asked looking at Jewel.

She nodded, "How can this be? Who is buried...where I thought you guys where." She said as ran up to her twins and hugged them, they hugged her back. "We were told her were gone, we were held captive we finally was able to escape and come here." Liberty replied looking all bruised and thin same way with Jay.

"Lets get you to sickbay," Jewel said as she wanted to get them checked out.

"General Hurd to Sergeant Gibbs please report to sickbay please." She requested as they walked.

"On my way General." Gibbs answered, and headed to Medical.

They finally made it down to sickbay, she looked around "Lieutenant Shrivol? Lieutenant Hades?" She asked looking around after Liberty and Jay hopped up on the bio bed. "I need one of you please." She said looking around.

Hades walked over to Jewel. He saw the two kids that looked like they had been through a lot. He pulled out his tricorder. "What happened here?"

Shrivol just walked into sickbay from the medical lab looking at Hades inquisitively. "Everything alright?"

"There are two young people that need our help." He watched Shrivol walk in and walk over to Jewel.

She looked at them "Please checked out my twins," She said as she looked at them. She was almost as pale white trying to take in everything, least she knew they were dead but are far from it. "Master Sergeant Gibbs should be down here soon." She added looking at them.

"Please check them out," She added again as she stood their almost wanting to break down and cry. Things where all happening at once, one thing after another. Her fight with David which they did make up then her twins being alive. She was trying to take it all in, she even pinched herself to make sure she was awake or if she was dreaming. She wasn't dreaming as the pinch hurt.

"General we will take the best care of them." Shrivol said as he turned to the kids. "Hades you take one I will take the other." Shrivol walked up to liberty smiling "How are you feeling?" He asked, his antenna contorting due to the situation, he didn't get much of a response so he started scanning Liberty. Periodically he looked over to Hades and Jewel, this was beyond odd he thought. "I am getting a little dehydration but nothing too bad. How about you Doctor?"

Hades gave Jewel a pat on the shoulder. He could sense her emotions. He whispered to her. "You are holding up well. If you wish go to my office and get some tea. Stress is no good for the baby."

He then walked over to Jay and scanned him. "Same dehydration, bruises, I see a healed arm break, shock." He looked at the boy." He smiled at the boy. "Hello! I'm Hades. How are you feeling young man?"

Jewel nodded and went and got some green tea, this time hot. meanwhile Jay looked at the doctor. "I am feeling alright, a little hungry but I am alright." Jay replied.

Hades smiled and looked at both children. "Oh dear. Well let's get something to eat. What would you children like to eat and drink?"

Liberty looked at Dr Shrivol, "I am hungry to," Liberty stated looking at the doctor.

"Anything," both children answered at the same time looking at them.

Hades smiled he headed to the replicator and ordered some sandwiches, sodas, cakes, and fries. He was back with the food. He looked at Shrivol.

Shrivol smiled at Hades and the kids. He let Hades talk to them being that he was great with children, plus Liberty seemed slightly distracted by his antenna.

Hades smiled at the kids. "Now then you both have to explain to me what happened to your ears."

They raised an eyebrow, "Nothing." They both said with confusion.

"Well. Let's see." He walked over to Jay and reached behind his ear pulling out a coin, hoping to make the child smile. He then walked to Liberty and reached behind her ear and pulled out a small purple feather. "You see? How did those get there?" He asked. The kids needed to smile. It was obvious they went through a lot.

They looked at him and the objects but didn't really think it was funny or cool. They were after all teenagers, "Where thirteen we really don't find those funny anymore." Liberty and Jay said looking at the Doctor.

"Too much I think." Shrivol looked at the kids and at Jewel. "Obviously they should talk to a counselor." He led Hades to an area that was quiet and leaned in. "I think we should see how Jewel is and run a few tests on her to make sure the baby is okay. Also with Liberties dehydration and a few other things I would feel better if we can keep them under observation for a night. What do you think?"

Hades gave a nod. "I agree." Hades took a step back from Shrivol when he leaned in. "I'll go make sure they eat and drink and you get Ms. Hurd in here." He noticed the look Shrivol gave him. As if to say why are you jumpy. He wasn't going to answer.

Shrivol's mouth contorted with his antenna at Hades reaction. "Good, after this we might have to have a talk." he said in a low voice.

Jewel walked out and waited for Gibbs an them to arrive, she hoped would be soon. She took a seat and drank her tea tears running down her face.

Gibbs arrived first. "How can I help you General?"

She looked at him almost like she seen a ghost, which she did as she thought her twins where dead. "Yes," Jewel replied looking at him. "I need you to arrest the nanny." She said as she looked at him, "they will give you the grounds you need to." Jewel replied looking at the twins sitting on the bio beds.

Gibbs walked up to the twins, which he recognized from some video records he has been reviewing. "Hello, I am Master Sergeant Gibbs. Tell me about your nanny."

Hades looked appalled that the Marine was so direct. These kids had been through hell. He stepped in. "Tell us what happened young ones." He said I a gentle tone. Giving Gibbs he stink eye for being rough.

Liberty and Jay both looked at the Doctor and the Marine, Jewel stood up and walked over to them to reassure them that everything will be alright. "We were about to leave Earth to come back to Starbase 400 for my mom's wedding and tell her what's been going on with the Nanny." Liberty started as she looked at them. "But, she had stopped us telling us that mom was killed and that the person who killed her would come after us." Jay added.

"She had locked us up for 2 years, she had a friend who helped her while she wasn't their. We were finally able to escape and get transport here because we didn't believe mom was dead." Liberty finished looking at them. "They barely fed us, we never got to go outside we were always kept in a basement." Jay added.

Shrivol looked on at the situation, trying to listen to every word. He wanted to just talk to Jewel and he slowly made his way to her. "General, can I talk to you when you get a chance." he whispered.

"After where done here." Jewel stated.

Gibbs glared right back to Doctor Hades, "Doctor, when needed, you can submit a Medical Statement that goes with their story."

Hades kept quiet. He liked Gibbs, really did after how he helped with Lai'lira but...he was too abrupt. These kids needed calm and he was spitting out Scary Marine mojo, as Braxton would say.

Then Gibbs looked at the children, "I am sorry that you had to go through that. Don't worry, we will lock up that nanny."

"Thanks," Liberty said with a smile.

Gibbs tapped on his Combadge, "Gibbs to MSAU, I want two teams to converge on Level 742 , Room 110, and arrest the occupant. I also want an all points bulletin on the subject Sara Moore, Human Female,to be sent to MSAU and Star Fleet Security patrols ASAP. Subject to be assumed as dangerous."

Shrivol walked up to Gibbs. "I understand the job you have to do, but I would appreciate if you would not berate my staff in public like that, if you feel you need to say something you come to me. Also if you have any questions for the kids, please ask after we are done with them." Shrivol understood the job Gibbs had to do, but right now sickbay was packed and people needed to be checked out and observed for medical conditions.

"It's alright," Liberty said looking at the Doctor. She always wanted to be a Doctor when she grows up. Jay always liked tinkering with things so He plans on going for Engineering when he's old enough.

"Listen Doc, I berated no one in this sickbay. You might just want to check your sensitivities. And you are right, I do have a job to do, so I will do it. That is all.", Gibbs retorted, and walked away from him. He was not about to let a doctor who was younger than his phaser get all bent out of shape because he would not act submissive to everyone with officer's pips. He left medical on a mission, and he was going to carry it through.

Jewel just nodded as she seen Gibbs leave then she looked at both the Doctors. "Please there's been things going on which I'll explain all later but please just take care of my babies. Granted their not babies anymore their teenagers but....I thought they were dead." Jewel replied as another tear ran down her face. "Please just give him a report when done please." Jewel begged the Doctors.

Hades gave a nod. "We will take care of them Ms. Hurd. Both Dr. Thr'elanon and I. We promise you that and we'll give the report now I think the doctor wanted to speak to you in private."

She looked at the Doctor, "you wanted to see me?" Jewel replied looking at him.

"Yes" Shrivol kept his voice low and calming, at least what Andorian's considered calming. "Doctor Hades and I would like to keep your children for observation, also, with you being pregnant and this being a stressful time I think it'd be a good idea for us to do a couple tests on you and the baby. Just to make sure everything is okay."

She nodded, "How long would you keep them for? I haven't seen them in 2 years I would like to spend some time with them." Jewel replied looking at him. "And very well, you can check the baby." She said as she looked at him.

"Just overnight, and to make amends to the Marine detachment we will let you stay in sickbay too." Shrivol smiled. "Just do something about that Gibbs." he said with a wink.

"Not my department," Jewel replied looking at him. "I might be Marine Ranked but I am only a Chief Diplomatic Officer." She said with a smile as she looked at him.

"I figured, I could turn to a diplomat, my sister is one and she can usually fix any disagreement." Shrivol said motioning towards a biobed. "This won't take long and after you can be with your children." he was still puzzled by the whole situation.

She looked at him and sat on the bio bed, "Trust me doctor I am puzzled just as much as you are. How would you act if you where told your oldest twins where killed in an accident and spent two years away from them to find that they are very much alive." She said as she sighed, "to much going on." She said looking at him knowing very well that he wasn't an counselor and probably no use she was just making conversation.

"I can honestly say I wouldn't know what to do in your position. For now, its a mix of happy and sadness." he said in between the beeping of the medical tricorder. "I can say I would be ecstatic if a loved one that I lost came back much less two." Shrivol double checked the readings. "I know a counselor is needed in the future, I am here to talk if you need anything, granted us Andorians aren't the best counselors." he said with a chuckle.

She nodded, "I know it's going to be a long road but guess will just take it one day at a time." She said with a smile, "so how's everything looking?" She asked looking at him.

"Well thankfully everyone's well." Shrivol said with a bit of theatrics. "Your baby is fine and your twins are going to be fine. I believe you will be happy to know so are you." he said putting away his tools. "Now I will get your bed ready next to your kid's bed. Hades and I will be here all night, so if you need anything let us know."

"Well I'll be in and out for most of the day" She noted as it was still morning and she still needed to take care of a few things before she came here for the night. "Right now I got to go back to my quarters to talk to David and get some things settled I'll be back." Jewel said to the Doctor.

She then walked over to her children she kissed them both, "I'll be back as soon as I can I promise." Jewel said to both of them, "mom please don't go." Liberty said looking at her. "I know hun I don't want to but, I just have a couple of things to take care of quickly" Jewel replied looking at them "i promise I'll be back," Jewel reassured them they both nodded.

She turned back to the doctors before she left. "Is there anyway they can get a shower and some clean clothes?" Jewel asked.

"My office has a shower and I'll have one of the Nurses get a change of clothing." Hades said.

She nodded, "thanks I'll be back soon." Jewel replied as she kissed her kids again and walked out.

Hades called Nurse Lin over. He looked at Shrivol. "I need to run an errand. I know you said you wanted to talk. We'll meet back here in ten minutes?"

"I will see you then." Shrivol was nervous and still a bit agitated at the events of the day. He turned to Lin. "let me know if there are any changes. I need a coffee."
