Episode 92 - More Questions than Answers
Location: Level 742, Room 110
Timeline: MD5 - 1015h After "A Shocking Surprise"
Gibbs just left medical when his combadge went off, "Corporal Reese to Master Sergeant Gibbs" "Gibbs here" "Sara Moore is in her quarters, but she won't come out. Our security codes won't work on the door." Gibbs was even more irritated now. "I am on my way."
Minutes later, he came up on the quarters, both sides of the doorway flanked by the MSAU Teams. "Computer, establish intercom with this room." "Ms. Moore, we know you are in there. And we all know you will be moving to my Brig. Now we can do this the easy way, or the hard way."
The only reply was, "You can't do this, I have rights you know."
Gibbs let out a sigh, pulled out his phaser, set it on heavy stun, "Computer, request access to this compartment, Security Code Gibbs 1123 Beta." Since his codes were not part of the standard security protocols, the nanny's code block did not work. The doorway opened up like it was no big deal. Gibbs just walked right into the room. The Nanny stepped out from behind a bookcase, and started to shout, but her sentence did not even start to leave her lips due to the stun beam hitting her square in the face. She dropped like a puppet whose strings were suddenly cut. Gibbs picked her up by the collar with one hand, and checked her pulse with the other. Once he confirmed she was alive, he dropped her back down on the deck, and placed hand restraints on her slumbering self. He motioned one of the teams to pick her up by the arms. They followed him to the Brig, her feet dragging on the way.
Brig
Gibbs entered the Brig reception area, with two Marines dragging Ms. Moore, who was still out. "Hello M'Kota. Got room for one?"
"Yep, right this way." M'Kota said as she looked at the women then Gibbs. "She try to shoot you?" She asked looking at him with a grin.
Gibbs shook his head, "Just a kidnapper who just did not want to come here. I was just making it easier for her. Charges include Kidnapping, Child Endangerment, Unlawful Detention, Child Abuse, two counts each, for starters."
Gibbs had his men drag Ms. Moore into a cell, where they scanned, and physically searched her for weapons. They gave Gibbs a nod, indicating she was clear of weapons, or any other devices, and they stood next to her. Her restraints were still on.
Gibbs looked at the nanny's face, which was bleeding a little from the point blank stun beam. "Gibbs to Braxton, please come to the Brig."
=/\=On my way.=/\= Brax shut off his computer and took his medic bag, which he always carried. He was in the brig within a few minutes and then looked at the young woman who was out like a light. A horrified expression crossed his face but he new better then to say anything. He knelt down by her and gently turned her on her back. He was tired with everything that was going on. He'd taken over Lai'lira's protection when he was off duty and it was draining. He only got a few hours of sleep.
Brax began to scan the woman.
Sarcastically, Gibbs asked, "Will she live Doc?"
Brax had to fight not to shake his head at Gibbs. "She'll need treatment. What happened." But he already knew. "Is she a prisoner?"
"She is definitely a prisoner. She did not wish to be one, so she needed an plasma induced attitude adjustment. She will have to be treated for her stun wound here, escape risk you know." Gibbs said.
Brax gave a nod. He motioned to the Brig. He avoided talking as much as possible. He lifted the woman with ease and placed her on the bed in the brig. He then gave her a hypo and treated the actual bleeding with a dermal regenerator. He checked brainwave function and then gave her another hypo. He packed up his things and then left the brig watching the force field rise.
"Thank you Doc", Gibbs said as Brax left the Brig.
Then Gibbs spoke to M'Kota, "Be careful with that one, a sneaky one she is."
She grinned, "Oh she won't give me any trouble." She said as she looked at Gibbs.
"I didn't think so. You take care. We have to stop meeting like this, or people will start to talk, " Gibbs said as he winked.
Brax left headed to the door. As soon as he was out the door a wave of dizziness struck him. He swayed and grabbed the wall.
Gibbs and his men just walked out of the Brig when they noticed Brax. "Doc! Are you okay?!?"
Brax righted himself. "Oui. Just a bit dizzy. All well." He took a moment to let the dizziness pass. "If she gets worse or has any symptoms." He reached in his bag and pulled a hypo. "Give her this." He started down the hall. He had two hours in his shift and then he'd pick up Lai'lira from work and it was his guarding duty again. Hades had to work late. "I will see you later." He called.
"Take care Doc." Gibbs said.
