[ON]

Splendora was in and out of consciousness for a few hours. She thought she saw Tom and Vito but when she opened her eyes again they were gone. The lady Doctor had been extremely nice to her. She closed her eyes again letting the darkness overtake her.

Hades had gotten back to the office from his evening at the lecture and his talk with Shrivol. He was anxious to begin research on what he could do to help his new friend. He’d sent a message to a contact at Starfleet medical and was now waiting for the message back.

Raya had filled him in on what was going on with Dr. Sage. He’d taken over checking on her to keep busy in between his researching.

At around 2100 hours Sage woke up called for a Tom and then went right back under for a good hour. She then woke up fully. Her throat was raw and she started to cough. Hades quickly got a glass of water with a straw and had her sip slowly. “Better,” he asked.

She smiled. “Yes.”

He could tell by her cringe that it hurt to smile. “Easy there. We fixed the busted lip but it will be swollen for a few days as will your forehead and you will have a black eye until we can finish the treatments.” The neck would be delicate.

Splendora gave a nod. “I have clients in the morning…” She said and then passed out.

Hades smiled, she too was as dedicated to her clients as he was to his patients. He checked her vitals and then headed back to the lab. An hour later he was more frustrated then when he went in. The information had started coming in but it was slow.

He treated a few patients and then was back with Splendora who’d woken again. He didn’t like the in and out. She didn’t have a concussion but….she shouldn’t have been in and out like that. He checked her O2 levels and just about died himself.

He called a nurse over and got her started on oxygen. “Keep an eye on her levels. I also noticed her vocal cords are bruised. Try to make sure she doesn’t talk.”

Splendora had been watching the exchange and piped up. “I want to go home.”

Hades sent the nurse away and reset the oxygen mask back in place. “Not tonight.”

Splendora pulled the mask off again. “I have clients tomorrow.”

Hades sighed. “Well then we’ll deal with that in the morning. We’ll see how you feel.”

“No deal,” she said pulling off the mask again after he’d replaced it.

Hades sighed. “Okay, listen keep the mask on, don’t talk and in the morning I’ll let you go if your readings are stronger.”

Her eyes narrowed and Hades laughed. “You would actually run off wouldn’t you?”

She gave a nod.

Hades smiled. “So would I in your place but let’s talk again in the morning. Deal?”

She gave a nod.

Hades gave her shoulder a pat and headed back to the lab.
