Nurse Lin walked into Dr. Thr'elanon's office. She was a bit nervous never having had a chance to talk to the man before. It had been a rough month here on the station adjusting. She steeled herself hearing that he doctor could be a bit...short but then again she didn't like to judge before she met people. She rang the chime with the report in hand.

"Come in." Shrivol replied. He was drinking coffee as he went over reports and more informational updates from Starfleet Medical.

Nurse Lin walked in. "Hi Doctor. We haven't officially met. I'm Nurse Lin. I just came off night shift."

Shrivol stood up and extended his hand "Hello, Nurse Lin, a pleasure to have you aboard."

"Nice to meet you sir. I have an update from the night Doctor."

"Thank you." Shrivol said as he grabbed the PADD.

"You're welcome sir." She was about to leave and then hesitated by the door debating if she should say something.

"Something bother you?" he replied as he scanned through the PADD.

She sighed, "Yes...I." She steeled herself. "Okay so last night Doctor Hades went to a lecture. He came back here after and I asked him how it went...he muttered something about Anaphylactic Klingons and went to his office and locked the door. He spent half the night there and half the night in the lab. This morning was his day off before going to Gamma...and..Well he's been locked in his office all morning. I tried to enter but don't have security clearance. He's put a confidentiality seal on the door and only you can access that. I tried to send him a com but he's not responding." She paused for breath. "I'm bit worried. His work was impeccable with the patients and he never let on that he was tired but I could see it."

"Thank you, I will take care of it. He's probably just working to get a Carrington award." Shrivol said with a smirk a hint of annoyance in his voice.

She gave a nod. "Thanks sir. Please I don't want to get him into trouble but I was just worried. I've noticed he tends to push himself quite a bit." She headed out.

"Thank you." Shrivol walked out shortly behind her and went to Hades office. He pressed the chime and waited for a replay.

Hades had fallen asleep a couple of hours ago. His desk was littered with PADDs, empty coffee cups, and plates, and Hades himself was hunched over with his cheek firmly planed in a plate with a cupcake on it. He hadn't heard the com from Nurse Lin nor the CMO.

"Computer, over ride lock, authorization 99 Theta 72." He waited for the computer to respond.

The computer chirped. =/\=This room is under classified lock Authorization Doctor Hades. CMO over ride code accepted. Password required in form of riddle response.=/\=

"I hate riddles." He said more to himself.

=/\=Please state what herb is shocking to the Klingon anatomy and what Vulcan is shocking to hear.=/\=

"Tragonian weed...Speralk." He said more in question, most Andorians hated riddles, Shrivol thought it was because Vulcans love them but figured it was due to the bluntness of Andorian culture.

=/\=Accepted.=/\=

The door hissed open to reveal the sleepy doctor.

Shrivol looked around as the door closed, and rolled his eyes at the sight. "Doctor Hades." He yelled to see if that would wake him up.

Hades startled awake leaping to his feat. "Who's hurt?!"

He couldn't help but laugh at Hades, the cupcake on his face all but wiped Shrivol's anger away.

It took a moment but his eyes focused. He sighed and looked at the laughing Shrivol still not aware of what it was the doctor was laughing at. "What's wrong?"

"You have a growth on your face, of a desert kind I recommend a biopsy." Shrivol said jokingly.

"Oh." He said blushing a bit. He headed to the bathroom. "I'll be back." He cringed at his face in the mirror and then washed away the chocolate. Within a few minutes he was out and clean.

"We need to talk. Doctor." Shrivol said a bit more of a stern tone in his voice.

"Okay...Sorry about that I'm all yours now. What do we need to talk about?"

"I know what you are doing, it has to stop though. Your connection contacted me about your research for my particular ailment. Plus being here all night isn't a good thing for your health." Shrivol tried sounding kind. "If I thought my illness would hinder my job on this station I would have retired by now, or request a different assignment. I survived a few years on Cardassia after the war with it, I will be fine. There is no cure yet, I have no doubt one will come about but you do not have to find it, or find it in a day."

He sighed. "Shrivol, I want to help. I'm doing other research too I'll be okay. I've been at this for years I don't need that much sleep." He stepped a bit closer to the Shrivol. "I do not think for a minute that your condition hinders you and being one of he best doctors out there I just want to make sure I do what I can. Trust me to help you. Besides pot calling on the kettle who stayed up all night researching Vulcan and El Aurian physiology?"

"First off, I do trust you, I do not trust you to put your health first, I have seen your records. Second, if I have an episode I can't walk but I can still do my job, if you do you go into a catatonic state, which let's face it is more severe." Shrivol's antenna took on a weird stance. "No offense Doctor, you may fight me on this, but I can fight too and being a CMO has it's advantages in this." his tone was getting less harsh.

"Right." He clasped his hands. "Let's do this. No working over 12 hours. I will watch out for your health you will keep me on my toes about mine....When you catch me." He winked mischievously in an attempt to get Shrivol to laugh.

"Andorians are quick." Shrivol said giving a half smile, but still looking stern. "Deal, but I reserve the right to change these rules at anytime I feel you are over exerting yourself. Now I suggest you go get some rest and maybe eat a cupcake as oppose to using one as a pillow."

Hades laughed. "You're the doctor." He gave a mock salute. "Let me just clean up around here and I'll be out of your hair And please lay off on the coffee."

Shrivol rolled his eyes. "Of course." He turned and walked out.
