***** Gym - Starbase 400 *****

Lieutenant Siaxx Dvald wanted to go for a swim as she turned her attention to the duffel she had slung over one shoulder as she had packed a simple black one piece suit as she had every intention of going for a swim.

She turned her head as she regarded Tressa who was here too. "Doctor." she greeted the other woman with a smile. "Where's Fives?"

"I don't know," Tressa said, turning off the treadmill and stepping off.

"Oh... You're not working out with him?" she raised an eyebrow as she looked down at the shorter human woman who came in about a half foot shorter then she was because Siaxx was two inches shy of six foot.

The CMO chuckled, "He and I are... friends, Siaxx. We're not joined at the hip."

"Ahh.." she indicated the pool with her head. "I've missed a good swim..." she admitted. "You still up for dinner in two days... Phoenix's parents arrive later today..." she admitted. "I'm nervous about it.."

"Yes, but I'm surprised Phoenix wants me there. I would have thought she wanted time alone with her family."

"She is having this dinner party at my place... and I'm doing the cooking.." Siaxx admitted. "We just started developing this relationship between us and I'm making food for her family... I'm not sure if I should be excited or terrified out of my mind."

Tressa draped her towel around her shoulders and took a long pull from her water bottle. "I'm happy that she has the chance to reconnect with her family. She deserves that."

Siaxx nodded. "Yes she does and... its long overdue as well.... fucking warden." she growled the last two words. "That guy is not even a human fucking being.... he is an.... evil thing." she regarded her superior and friend. "This is a guy who is evil in a way you never read about."

"I think she briefly mentioned him some time ago, but I didn't ask," Tressa said, shaking her head. "I cannot imagine what she went through, what her life has been. I'm glad she has you," she added softly.

"Phoenix is something else... despite what others think, she actually does care.." Siaxx then looked around as she quickly discovered that the two women were alone. "all these failures would not understand."

"Yes, she does care, and she is a good person. I don't always think she realizes that."

"That's questionable... but its more appropriate to ask... does she care if others know she cares.?" Siaxx inquired.

"Good question," Tressa said with a wry smile. "Perhaps the only question."

"Between you and me.... I see no reason to push her into changing who she is for the people here..." she commented. "if Phoenix decides that for herself then she should do it on her own.... right?" she looked down at the smaller human woman. "right..."

"A person can change if they want to do so, but I don't think Phoenix needs to change. I like her as she is, I just wish she liked herself."

Siaxx nodded. "In time... she will come around." she paused. "at least i hope she does.."

Tressa smiled and lifted her water bottle. "Here's hoping, my friend."

"Well you know my opinion on hope Tressa." Siaxx answered. "get two containers the same size, fill one with hope and fill the other with shit... observe which one fills first." she chuckled softly.

Tressa smiled wryly as she drained her water bottle. "Going for a swim, you said? Maybe I'll join you and cool off."

Siaxx smiled. "I did indeed.." she commented as she turned and led the way towards the female changing rooms after picking up her duffel bag. "How much time do you have before your next engagement?"

"I'm off-duty for the next twenty hours but I do have a date," she said with a shy smile.

Siaxx instantly cheered up. "A date... aww how romantic." the larger Bolian chuckled a she teased the smaller human woman. "I'm sure he's a lovely guy.... so.... who is he?" she inquired as she raised an eyebrow before smiling. "is he worthy?"

"Okay, it's with Tom, ah, Fives," Tressa said, purposely looking away from her friend.

Siaxx chuckled softly. "He's nice on the eyes and he quotes Shakespeare, what more could a girl want?"

"Yes, yes, go ahead and tease," she said, shaking her head and blushing. "I like the guy, okay? I just feel bad though, I haven't been in a relationship in years. Its all so... new."

Siaxx's grin grew wider as she knew she was scoring hits. "So... don't dive into it, take your time and let him know what you want... if you do it right... you'll have the greatest stress reliever at your fingertips known to man." she then added, using the human term. "What's the worst he could do?" she gave Tressa a pointed look.

"Stress-reliever," Tressa repeated the phrase, oh yes indeed. "We are taking it slow. We had a date some time ago, then bumped into one another a day ago and had lunch..." she said, smiling to herself.

Siaxx eye'ed her friend carefully. "So.. thats why you've had this grin on your face for the last day or so." the taller Bolian nodded as she grinned. "I don't think what you two had was on any menu served by any reputable restaurant." as she regarded the human woman. "Was it good?"

Tressa shook her head, blushing. The walked into the locker room and Tressa shucked off her sweaty clothes and went into the shower. "It was great, he is so intense. I haven't felt that cared-for in so long."

Siaxx grinned at her friend. "That's fantastic." she responded. "You do have needs of your own and now you have someone in your life who actually cares..." she commented as she placed her duffel on the bench as she began to strip until she was wearing anything as generally Bolian's did not have a nudity taboo.

The human finished washing and toweled off, than put on a one-piece. "Well for now, we're taking it slow," she said with a grin. "How about that swim?"

Siaxx smiled as she was likewise wearing a simple one piece suit, it was onyx black and it highlighted her features. "Sounds good.... so lengths?" the Bolian inquired with a smile. "also.. you know about the Bolian connection to water right?" she inquired. "we evolved from aquatic life."

Tressa laughed, "Better study up on your human anthropology, doctor, Terran life did too!" She winked playfully and sprinted out the door.

Siaxx sighed. "Tressa... you make my head hurt." and with that the larger Bolian chased her human companion through the door and out into the pool area itself. "So.... how do you think the water is?" she asked Tressa who stood nearby.

"Perfect..."

Siaxx smiled. "Want me to help you into the pool?" she inquired with a rather evil grin before she slipped her body into the pool, she was expecting the water to be ice cold, it was instead quite warm. Tressa dove in after her.

Siaxx meanwhile seemed to float at the bottom of the pool with her eyes open, as she looked around but otherwise remained almost motionless as she spotted Tressa, she then kicked off of the bottom and a moment later she appeared at the surface. "Ahh.. so.. lengths?"

"Sure, and its perfect, isn't it?" the human replied with a grin, kicking off.

"Mmmm." Siaxx smiled. "Nice enough for sex... don't you think?" she inquired with a smile, before she let out a soft sigh, clearly she had missed being in the pool.

"Is it?" Tressa said, winking.

"Oh yes." Siaxx responded. "You should try it sometime." she smiled at the smaller human. "you can't be as rough as you could be in bed... forces him to be more gentle." clearly the Bolian knew what she was talking about. "But... I guess its a matter of perspective... how do you prefer it?" she inquired.

Ttessa laughed, "Never thought about it, Siaxx, and its not like men are lining up to be with me!"

Siaxx raised an eyebrow as she regarded the small human. "You want more then one at a time.... well... I didn't see that one coming..." she then grinned at Tressa.

The woman just shook her head, blushing. "You never stop, do you?"

"I prefer them one at a time..." the Bolian was clearly enjoying herself before she felt a wave of water splash her face and chest as she laughed. "Oh course I don't.... you like it though..... you ever thought of taking a woman to bed?" she inquired with a smile, considering where their conversation was going.

Tressa relaxed and just floated on her back. "I have been with women, Siaxx, couples actually. Just not recently," she added, letting the water lap gently over her.

Siaxx smiled as she likewise moved onto her back, then she sighed softly as a smile appeared on her blue skinned face. "Nice. So you are more liberal then I assumed... excellent."

"i keep my private life.... private," the human said. "I see no reason to label myself or others."

Siaxx nodded in acceptance of what Tressa had told her. "A wise plan. Less drama... you'll be more popular."

"Popularity is the last thing I need."

Siaxx smiled. "Nothing wrong with that perspective... at least you don't have several men fighting for you."

"I've never had that!" Tressa said.

"Maybe.... you will find out that you have several men having a fight for you." Siaxx smiled. "It'll give me a break.." as she gave her human companion a rather sinister grin. "You'll like it."

Tressa threw back her head and laughed, splashing the lithe Bolian playfully. "Siaxx, you a very active imagination!"

Siaxx chuckled as she gave Tressa a rather evil grin. "Well I can arrange it so you have a few men chasing you. All wanting your body." the Bolian commented. "If you are so inclined.."

"I am most certainly not, that sounds awful!" the human said, wide-eyed.

Siaxx laughed at her. "No its not... nothing wrong with sex..." she paused. "except if he's not interested then it can get really pathetic."

Tressa sighed, then grinned, floating serenely. "Siaxx, I think you and I have different ideas of excitement."

"Oh I would agree." the Bolian responded evenly as she regarded Tressa who floated nearby. "All you ever do is work and raise the kids... seriously... you should have a man to see to your needs.."

"I love the kids! We have fun, there's Movie Night, and we read a story every night.... well it's more fun than it sounds," the human said with a laugh.

Siaxx smiled at the human who floated near her. "There is nothing wrong with duty and obligations but.... Tressa... that's all you ever do." she commented, clearly switching tact for this chat from being playful to serious. "What about Fives... now he wants you."

"I like him, he's very sweet," Tressa said. "I don't want to rush anything, though, and I certainly don't assume anything."

"Maybe you and he should spend some time in here Tressa. something where he can see plenty of skin where he can't start pawing you." Siaxx explained. "Me... I'm just out for a good time.... he however....might want something....more form you."

"Matchmaker matchmaker make me a match..." The puzzled look on Siaxx's face made the Tressa laugh. "Want to do laps?"

"Laps sounds good.... shall we?" the taller Bolian inquired before she checked her surroundings before pushing off from the side as she proceeded across the pool.

A short time later after having worked up a sweat as Siaxx found herself at the side of the pool. "So... Tressa. You think you have a chance with Fives?"
she inquired as she gave the human a look.

"We're... friends," the doctor said softly. How could she explain a fear of commitment to a Bolian? "We're friends right now."

Siaxx regarded her friend as if catching it. "But I'm hearing a but coming Tressa.... whats on your mind... lets have it?" she then smiled. "not enough men chasing you?" the Bolian grinned, the last few words were intended as a joke.
