Fives smiled as he regarded the smaller woman next to him. "So Tressa. I should have asked earlier if you had plans for this afternoon." as he gently ran his fingernails ever so gently over her smooth skin, it was called Chinese finger torture and it had many applications from abusing a prisoner to erotic foreplay, such as Fives was doing now.
Her eyes were luminous, watching him as he touched her so softly.
"I have to get the kids, class is over in twenty minutes."
"Well... I can go with you to collect them... if you like?" he inquired.
She cocked her head and grinned, "Sure, I'd like that. You... want to meet them?"
Fives slowly nodded his head. "Sure.." he paused. "Is this a good idea... I mean me meeting your kids so soon?"
She chuckled, "We're not engaged or anything, Tom. I think it will be just fine, they're good kids," she said. "I can't promise there won't be an awkward question or two, though."
Fives smiled as he regarded her. "I'll manage... considering I am seeing their Mom... they are entitled to questions..."
"Oh it won't be that bad," she said. She held his eyes for a moment, "But I haven't told them about you, so this will be new for them."
"Ahh.." he paused. "What will you tell them?" Fives inquired.
"I will tell them that you are my friend," she said, watching him from the corner of her eyes. "We are friends, aren't we?"
Fives regarded her with an almost sly grin. "Last time I checked.... why did you think we were something else?" he inquired in an almost playful manner.
"I like friends. 'Friends' is good," she said with a grin.
"Tressa, I find your lack of faith so deeply disturbing." he responded with a good natured smile. "Considering I don't have a lot to start with." When one knew his past, one had to come to that realization of what he had lost and how he had struggled with the darkness without and his own demons. "But I can see I must rekindle your faith....." he then grinned at her.
"I just... like to take things slow..." she said, lightly tracing his jawline with her finger.
"That's never a bad thing Tressa." he commented. "especially with kids in the mix." There was something in his voice as he paused a moment.
She watched him for a moment, then smiled. "They'll like you, Tom. You'll see."
Fives looked unconvinced. "We will see Tressa." he commented. "I start with the worst case and work back from there.... its easier for me to work with." he
added before he slowly picked up his clothing before he began to dress.
She wrapped her arms around his chest and hugged him. "I promise you, this will be good. Have you spent much time around kids?"
Fives smiled. "Not really.... Most of the kids I knew were in the Kun'Lai province, they were training to be warriors.... they was my younger half brothers..." he sighed softly.
"They aren't scary, you know," she teased.
"Its not that.." Fives commented quietly. "I was just thinking of my half brother when he was a child.." he explained. "We were quite close, I was the older brother and we did everything together."
"What was his name?" she asked softly.
Fives almost seemed to zone out, he sighed softly. "James..... James Yeoman."
he commented. "My biological brother was Nigel Lasky."
"What happened to him?"
Lasky raised an eyebrow as he regarded Tressa. "Nigel was killed with the rest of my family when the transport they were on was destroyed due to an accident." he commented. "James was killed by the Borg while he was assigned to the USS City of New Berlin." he commented. "She was defending Deneva... When the Borg attacked..." he sighed softly.
The doctor touched Tom's shoulder, massaging it gently. "I'm sorry to hear that."
"James was a good man. a brave soul who knew what he was getting into when the Borg came back, he gave his life saving millions on Deneva." he smiled sadly. "The people of Deneva wanted to honor our fallen... naming new locations, schools and the like." he raised an eyebrow. "You should have seen the memorial in Deneva's capital city."
"I've never been there, what's it like?"
"Well its forty foot tall and almost eighty wide at the base. dozens of Starfleet officers are represented, there are a few ships there too... they wanted to cram as many faces from the shop crews that died defending the planet as possible." Fives explained. "James is in there."
"He is in good company, in Valhalla," Tressa said softly.
"It cost us enough." Fives said quietly. "This time we paid for it with our dearest blood."
