Mission: Mission 76 - Home comings
Location: Holodeck 4
Timeline: Morning before the mission

Lee had arrived in holodeck 4 around 0715 and had been praticing some Vulcan martial art moves when he seen Alex walk in.

Alex wasn't sure if Lee was going to show up so when she walked in and saw him, she was pleasantly surprised.

He stopped and smiled at her:"Hello Alex, how are you this morning?"

Alex returned his smile with her own, "Well, I got to talk to my son last night and found out that he's on his way here as we speak. So yeah, I'm great. "

Lee nodded:"That's good you got to talk to your son, am sure you both are pretty excited that he will be coming to live here?"

"Very excited. Unfortunately, I'm leaving for Earth on the Pegasus so I won't see him until I get back. But it's okay. He's having fun on the Essex. They have a pet Bengal tiger on board." She paused for a second, "How are you doing?"

Lee shrugged:"Am doing ok, just spoke with Admiral Bremer awhile back ago. The Talosians have contacted Star Fleet and asked Star Fleet to come retrieve the remains of Commadore Chris Pike so he may have a proper burial. And since I am a direct descendant of Commadore Pike, Star Fleet and Admiral Bremer have tasked me to go to Talos IV and get the remains of Commadore Pike and take them to Earth for burial."

"Wow, after all these years. I wonder why they are allowing us to get him now? Oh well, the important thing is that you get to bring him home. But, I'd still be careful. You never know if they have some kind of an ulterior motive or not."

He nodded:"I will plan on being as careful as can be. I will be commanding the Saratoga. The Laffey, the Vanguard and the Endeavor will be going with me."

"Good. I'm glad to know that Bremer isn't taking any chances."

He smiled:"So shall we do some warm ups before we get started?"

Alex nodded, "Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing. Let's do this."

Lee nodded then started doing some stretching and slow deep breathing:"So why are you going to Earth for?"

Alex did her usual stretches as well, "We...are going to bring Bremer's wife back. They're still holding her and he isn't very happy. So he's decided that he is going to expedite her return."

Lee stood to his full height:"So have you ever seen or been taught how to do the Vulcan nerve pinch?"

She stopped for a second and looked at him, "I've seen it used but was never taught it. My old CO's half Vulcan and she got me out of a bind one time using it. I guess it never occurred to me that we can learn it." She resumed her stretches as she sat on the floor to do leg stretches.

Lee smiled:"So would you like to learn the move? I was taught it by a cousin of mine who is half Vulcan."

"You have a half Vulcan cousin, interesting. Sure, if I can learn something new, I'm all for it." She got back up and did a few shoulder stretches, "Okay, show me."

Lee chuckled:"Yea some have said it's quite intersting that I have a half Vulcan cousin, and then of course got me being half Betazoid. One big interesting family."

She nodded in agreement, "Almost sounds like another family I know."

Lee then stepped over behind her and carefully placed his hand on her shoulder:"You do the move this way" He placed his hand then on the base of her neck but didn't apply pressure so she wouldn't be rendered unconsciousness.

"I see. Starfleet Academy really should think about teaching this in their self-defense classes. This would be really useful." She could think of a lot of times that it would have been handy in the past.

Lee moved over to stand in front of her:"Sometimes I wonder why Star Fleet doesn't teach this, so what would you like to learn next?"

"I'm trained in kickboxing and Anbo Jytsu. And I've had some training in Aikido. But I've never had the time to learn other culture's forms of martial arts. And since you mentioned Vulcan martial arts, let's start there." She's always eager to learn new techniques to protect herself.

Lee nodded:"Well Vulcan martial arts is like karate and Silat. And the worst fight that you don't want to get into is called the koon-ut-kal-if-fee, or fight to the death."

She nodded, "Yeah, I've heard of it."

Lee stood into a fighting stance:"It has a lot of focus in strikes, joint manipulation, throws, bladed weaponry. Some have been known to use a combination of some of them or all of them together."

Alex observed Lee as he explained. She was very familiar with the stance he was using, "It sounds like there's more involved than the ones I know."

Lee nodded:"Yes there are a few. So there anything you want me to show you or would you want to get breakfast?"

"Yeah. Show me one more time where you apply the pressure point for the Vulcan neck pinch."

Lee nodded:"Sure I can show you one more time."

"Ah, okay." Alex placed her hand on the base of his neck where he showed her, "So right about here, correct?"

Lee chuckled a little:"Yea right about there."

"Good." She released his neck, "I'll have to test it out one day. Maybe I can try it out on that new CMO." She chuckled, "Naah, I just kidding."

Lee laughed:"Am sure our new CMO would just love to be the test subject for you on that."

"I have a great idea. Why don't we put this on the back burner and get breakfast. Then when we get back from our various assignments, we can get together and you can show me some things, maybe we can even spar a little. I could really use someone who isn't going be easy on me because I'm their boss. You know what I mean?"

Lee smiled:"Sure breakfast works for me." He held out his hand to her:"Yea know what you mean, and would be willing to be your sparring partner when we get back."

"Good. Let's go. Maybe while we're eating, you can tell me what your plans for Talos entail."

Lee nodded:"Sounds good to me Alex."
