Heading for Earth

It was the morning after leaning of Talosians request to send a ship to Talos to recover the remains of Commodore Pike. Not only were the Laffey, Saratoga, and Vanguard leaving SB400 to meet with the Endeavor and then head to Talos...but the Pegasus, Yorktown, Avenger, and Venator were preparing to head for Earth.

The Admiral and his Senior Staff for the mission had boarded the Pegasus. t`khellian has made her way to Sick Bay, no doubt to make sure it was up to her standards.

Bremer, Harrison, and Branson were on the Bridge. Harrison of course at Tactical and Chief Branson at the Helm. Mike stood just behind and between Ops and Conn.

"Ops this is the Pegasus requesting permission to depart." Mike said over the comm.

"Permission granted Admiral, good luck." Came the reply from Ops...Mike couldn't remember the young Ensign's name who was working at communications so he made a mental note to `meet` him when they returned.

As he turned around to take his seat, "Chief Branson, let's go to Earth."

"Aye sir. Clearing all moorings and retracting access way." The Chief replied.

"Space doors open, our flight patch is clear. Yorktown, Avenger, and Venator are also clearing moorings and preparing to depart." Harrison added.

"Port thrusters at forty percent, ten second burst...port bow thrusters at thirty percent." Branson stated as the Pegasus eased away from her berthing, then swung her bow around to face the spacedoors.

"Take us out Chief, one quarter impulse." Mike ordered, and within moments the big Galaxy Class Dreadnought was moving forward out into open space.

Within a minute, the Defiant class USS Yorktown, Intrepid class USS Avenger, and Prometheus class USS Venator were also clear of SB400 and formed up with the Pegasus.

"Warp eight Chief."

"Aye Admiral, warp eight." Branson replied.

Thewarp nacelles of the four ships all started to glow brighter as they shot away with a flash into warp.
