USS Vanguard Bridge

Vice Admiral T'Lar had been sitting in her Ready room, looking over the final extraction plan of the Marines. She sat back in her chair and relaxed before walking onto the bridge of the Vanguard.

"Lt. James, what is our ETA to the Algorab system?"

As she waited for his response, she walked over to her chair and sat down in her seat that Clifford had just vacated for her.

"Thirty Minutes Admiral."

"Very good. Once we get to the outskirt of the Algorab System, I need scans of the area. I don't want any surprises.

Yamaguchi nodded her head. "I'm already looking deep into the system sir. At present... no ships in the system... mostly just an outpost on the inhabited planet."

"T'Lar to Dr. Brislan."

"Doctor Brislan here, Admiral."

"How are you doing with the makeovers of our Marines? Any problems?"

"No Ma'am, not at this time anyway. I don't anticipate any problems at this time," Tressa said.

"When you have finished with them, let me know immediately."

"Aye, Admiral, should be within the hour."

Deela handed her XO, Captain Clifford, the PADD containing the extraction plan, "I am really trying to get used to having Marines and depending on them but it is difficult."

Andrew took the padd and looked at it, "I agree, Admiral. Let's hope this one goes smoothly. Too many times I've seen Marines go in heavy handed and then have to fight their way out. Too many unnecessary casualties on both sides."

Yamaguchi paused her scans as she glanced over at the Admiral who she was very close in age to as she raised an eyebrow, clearly the comment had gotten her attention as a smile crossed her lips and then she turned her attention back to the matters at hand, she in truth had many issues with Marines as she had tended to get along with few marines.

Meanwhile Master Sergeant Duvall looked at himself in the mirror and did not recognize the man who looked back at him as he sighed, he did not like this mission on any level whatsoever but he would not complain or gripe about it, such was his duty.

After reading through the information on the padd, Andrew put the Padd down beside him. the Admiral hadn't said anything about passing it on to Yamaguchi, although he felt it appropriate to do so, "Admiral, ok to let the Lt Commander see this?"

Torilla Yamaguchi was checking the Tactical and Security systems for the third time this mission, everything was operational and in truth she did not mind the work as she was curious about the escape plan.

"Absolutely. Be my guest." She motioned towards Yamaguchi.

Lennox took one last, quick look, at himself in the mirror. He didn't like his temporary appearance, but if it kept him alive he'd get used to it for now. He checked his gear one more time, then headed to the Marine Ready Room for deployment.

After the planning meeting Andy proceed to Sickbay to get his makeover complete... He had mixed feelings regarding the fact that he would need to look like a Romulan Officer, He had done this before but it always left him with a sour taste on his mouth.

Duvall sighed softly as he gave his gear the once over, tricorder. check. Romulan disruptor. Check. Romulan supplies and things he would need while planetside. Check. He then left the barracks and then headed for the Marine ready room for the last deployment orders prior to mission start.

Phoenix was already pulling her inconspicuous black wing suit over her Romulan get-up in the marine ready room. The pointy ears were not too bad, but the distinctive short black hair was not to her liking. This wasn't the first time she was made to look like their former enemies, so she wore her new look like she would an undershirt... Unphased.

T'Lyn was in sickbay it didn't take the doctors a lot of work on her as in some way there was an advantage to being a Vulcan all the doctor had to do to her was hide her Vulcan DNA to match that of a Romulan which wasn't to far from the Vulcan DNA. She also adds the facial ridges. When the doctor was done she felt her forehead. She didn't quiet care for the bumps on her forehead but then again who liked looking like a Romulan. She just wanted to get this mission out of the way. She had done some covert missions before but never something like this. "Thank you doctor" T'Lyn stated as she left sickbay and proceeded down where the other marines where located.

On his way to the Marine Ready Room, Lennox started to feel nauseous. It wasn't nerves, it was something else. He made a detour to Sick Bay and walked over to Doctor Brislan, who had just finished with Major T’Lyn.

“Major, Doctor…Doc, I’m not feeling very good.” He paused a moment, then added, “It’s not worry or nerves, I feel a slight burning sensation all over as well as the nauseas, started about five minutes ago.” He was worried the Doctor would keep him from going on a mission and he started second guessing himself coming to Sick Bay.

"Have a seat," Tressa said, scanning him quickly. "You're having a slight reaction but this should help. You will feel nauseas for a few more minutes," she added as she administered a hypospray.

Lennox nodded, "Thank you ma'am." Before the Doctor could give any other warnings, he hopped off the biobed and continued toward the Marine Ready Room.

Andy looked at himself, being half betazoid gave him the edge and now wih this makeup he was ready to go.

Meanwhile Yamaguchi who was on the bridge nodded as she read the PADD being presented to her, she sometimes preferred the hands on approach and rather then use the com system to call for a report, she decided to call it up on her systems display before her.

It had flagged one of the auxiliary phaser arrays on the starboard nacelle pylon as having a 98% accuracy rating so she was instructing one of her
officers to look into it. "Keep me posted please Lieutenant..."

"Yessir." the younger officers responded evenly and with that she indicated the turbolift with her head as she nodded in that direction, taking her unspoken cue, he turned and departed.

Maal was heading back to the Marine Ready room, he had to be one of the biggest Romulans ever he thought to himself. He just shook his head and kept walking.

Holly observed everything that was going on from the operations panel on the bridge and wasn't too concerned about things. She knew her role and knew how to function on a ship this big. Being in full control of her Betazoid heritage was about the major headache she had to deal with as the ship seamed to be operating within limits to pull this whole thing off. She wasn't one to drop in on peoples thoughts not to mention there were controlled minds on the ship so it made it a bit more ease for her to listen in on what she needed to hear and toon out the rest. Now it was just a game of waiting to see what would happen next to them all.
