Mission: Mission 82 - The Aggressor
Location: The Avenger

Avenger Bridge

Saith slid into the Security station on Avenger's bridge and logged in. She was becoming very familiar with this station. Familiar, but not comfortable; the last time she sat here, she had a disagreement with Admiral Bremer.

Despite her conversations with Maal and Counselor Dallas the confrontation weighed on her mind. As a distraction she pulled up all the information she could find on Cetus III and the Gorn. She knew about the Gorn, of course, but felt she could use a refresher and see what was new.

Saith did not know Captain Greenwood and wondered how this mission would go with him. She glanced in his direction as she listened to the pre-flight check off. In a moment Avenger was up and away from the Starbase.

Maal stepped off the turbo lift and onto the bridge, he spotted Saith and gave her a smile. He then walked over near the command chair."Where would you like me at sir?" He stood at parade rest awaiting his post.

Saith smiled as Maal stepped off the turbo lift and smiled at her. Happy with the current mission and situation she looked back at the information on her terminal screen.

Ryan turned to look at the Seargent who was addressing him.

"Good to have you aboard Sergeant. With you combat skills I will need you to assist, with direction from Ensign Baratan, with the preparations for repelling boarders if we have any uninvited guest come aboard."

"Aye sir." Saith said as she pulled up ships schematics. She smiled at Maal, glad they would be working together. She knew Maal had experience in close quarter combat and would have valuable insight. The bonus of course is they were together.

She started marking potential boarding sites. Places she would try to board if she was trying to take over the ship or reach key junctions. "Working on the logistics now." she informed the Captain. She briefly thought about how strange it was to work in a place where the commanding officers rotated, and you never knew who you were going to have. They didn't do that in the Star Empire!

Maal nodded:"Understood sir. I will be down in the armory getting things ready then." He glanced at Saith and nodded before heading back to the turbo lift.

"Good to hear."

Ryan turned back to the view screen and began issuing orders for departure.

"Lieutenant Gillo, are we running on our own power?"

After pressing a few buttons she responded, "Yes, sir we are."

"Thank you Lieutenant. Ensign Baratan, is everyone aboard?"

"Yes Captain. All personnel are accounted for," Saith replied. She glanced at Maal as he left the bridge. Then she went back to studying her stations' computer screens. She had the ship schematic on one, and intel on Cetus III up on the other.

"Alright, lets not delay any further. Helm, clear moorings."

The ship drifted from the moorings.

"Commander Coleman, status on the Kearsage."

Coleman looked up from his station and over at Captain Greenwood. "It appears that they are ready to go and are coming in right behind us, sir. Their engines and warp drive are fully powered and operational."

"Helm, set course to Cestus III. Engage at warp...."

Ryan stopped as the Kearsage warped out. *A challenge* Ryan thought to himself.

"Helm, what is the speed of the Kearsage?"

The ensign turned toward the captain.

"Warp 8 sir."

Ryan smiled and looked over at Commander Coleman.

"Shall we?"

Coleman leaned over smirking, saying, "Oh, most definitely, sir. Warp engines operational and ready for your command."

"Helm, engage at warp 8.75."

“Baratan to Captain Greenwood. Security and Tactical are ready to go.” Saith's voice filtered over the com.
