Mission: Mission 81 - Revenge
Location: Pegasus, Sick-Bay
Timeline: Following 'The Chase pt3'

ON:

Mike arrived in Sick-Bay to find Doctor Brislan and Petty Officer First Class Renfroe working on K’Temoc. They had the bleeding stopped, finally. Doc had beamed up with the wounded from Colonel Hurd's group, and had jumped in to help Medical Staff.

“How is he?” Mike asked.

"Some intramuscular and tissue damage which we can repair, fortunately the underlying bone is fine," Tressa said. "We've given him a red-count booster now that the hemorrhaging has stopped."

Mike then looked over at Roebuck as Doctor Mclintock was treating him.

“He was hit by at least two phasers set on stun. He also has a concussion, but will be okay.” Mclintock reported.

Mike then glanced over at Ramata’tar as he was being released. He walked over to the Jem Hadar, “Thank you.”

Ramata’tar simply nodded, “I owed you my life, I have now repaid that with your son’s.”

Mike then looked for K’Wor, but didn’t see him at first. He walked over toward Janice to find K’Wor there, checking on Christopher. Mike was hesitant to walk over at first, took a deep breath, and finally stepped over. K’Wor saw him and walked to meet him and give his father a hug.

“Are you all right?” Mike asked.

“I’m fine.” K’Wor replied. “What happened after I was beamed up, how was K’Temoc wounded?”

Mike looked over at Janice for a moment, then replied. “Westmoreland is dead. The man you recognized was Joe Tabor, former First Lieutenant and Marine Fighter Pilot aboard the Pegasus. He’s dead too.”

“How did they die?” Janice asked.

Mike looked at his wife. He thought for a moment about how to reply, “I killed them.” The details didn’t really matter, but knowing the murderers of their children were now gone, it might give a little closure to his wife.

Everyone was silent for a moment, there was nothing to say really. After a moment, Mike’s comm-badge beeped. “Admiral, please report to the Bridge.”

A few minutes later, Mike arrived on the Bridge again.

Alex acknowledged Bremer, "Sorry to take you away from your family but there is a subspace message for you."

“Route it to my Ready Room, I’ll take it there.” Mike replied as he walked into his Ready Room. "Maintain orbit, Baratan ran scans of the area, make sure no vessels left that base. Pike, scan the base, make sure we didn't leave anyone down there, Marine or smuggler." His tone was still harsh, adrenaline was still pumping in his system and his blood was still burning.

Lee nodded:"Yes sir scanning now to make sure no one was left behind."

Saith did not acknowledge the order aloud, but she started a scan of the area. She was even angrier now than she had been before the away team went down. In her personal opinion, Bremer had gone far and above his station and duty. On the one hand it was understandable; on the other hand issues so intensely personal should be handled by others. If it had been her, she had no illusions she would be in the brig! So, she said nothing but sat in at her station and fumed.

Bremer's Ready Room

Mike didn't realize it until then, but he was still carrying Westmoreland's d'k tagh. He sat it on his desk before taking a seat and activating his monitor. A moment later, the faces of two old friends appeared.

“Lek, Thomas...this is a surprise.” Mike replied.

“How are you holding up?” Commander Lek Draven asked. “You look like hell.”

Mike flashed a half smirk toward his former First Officer and old Friend. “It’s been a long couple of days, but it’s over now.” Mike replied. Lek and Thomas glanced at each other, and knew what Mike meant.

“T'Lar got to Riggs. Admiral Toddman asked us to follow up for Starfleet Command. We’re going to be arriving at Remu III in two days aboard the Inquisitor. We’d like you to leave Westmoreland’s outpost intact and alone until we arrive.” Lieutenant Commander Thomas Cruiser, former Chief
Intelligence Officer aboard the Pegasus said.

Mike looked at the screen, puzzled. He know both men worked for Starfleet Intelligence now, and often investigated internal affairs types of matters. He trusted them, but this was an odd request. “All right, I’ll keep everyone on board, and keep the people we took into custody in the brig.”

“Starfleet Command wants us to investigate Westmoreland’s operation, look into it to see if anyone in Starfleet, besides Admiral Riggs, was involved.” Lek stated.

Mike nodded, “All right, we’ll keep the scene clear. See you in two days. Bremer out.”

Mike closed the comm-channel and leaned back in his chair. He made a note for the Bridge Crew to be expecting the Ronin class USS Inquisitor's arrival. He thought about getting a cup of raktijno, but decided against it. Instead he just closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair.
