The doctor had just left with Lee still sitting in bed with Alex standing there. He scooted over a little and patted the side of the bed for her.

Alex relaxed a little as she sat next to Lee although there was little room for her.

He blew out a long breath:"So Westmorland is behind all this stuff?"

"While you were out there risking your neck, Westmoreland let Bremer know that it was him who" looking over at Janice, she lowered her voice almost to a whisper, "killed their kids and also has K'Wor. He's out for revenge and he doesn't care who he hurts." Emotions welled up inside her again, "What kind of monster consciously kill small, innocent children?"

Lee closed his eyes for a second, thinking about those poor kids."A kind of monster who has no soul is who."

"I hope he pays dearly." She spoke with conviction.

He gave her a some what lop sided grin:"And I promise to be more careful Imzadi."

"I didn't mean to overreact. It's just that you can be so happy and then bam! One day something happens to change that. I thought that this was one of..." She sighed.

He raised an eye brow at her:"Tell me Imzadi what's on your mind and don't say it's nothing."

"I don't know. I can't help thinking about them over there. Everything was going great for them and they were so happy, then a psycho comes along and ruins their lives. Then there is us. We're getting married and everything is going great for us, then you almost die out there. It's made me realize that anything can happen at any moment. I can't stop thinking about it."

He nodded:"Yes hun you are right, anything can happen at any given moment. And a lot of people wonder why a lot of bad stuff happens to good people like with the Bremers and now with what happen with me out there."

"It's just not fair that they have to go through this."

"Life isn't fair sometimes but we must take the bad with the good no matter what, it's who we are. We both know it could happen when we signed up for Star Fleet."

"I know and with what our job description is, it come with the territory. I get it."

Lee gave her a serouis look:"Do you want to leave Star Fleet? Cause I would with you if you really wanted to."

"No, I don't. I fought to get where I am. I'm not going to quit just because some prick like Westmoreland had made me think about my mortality. " She let out an exasperated sigh, "I don't like being this way. I've become such an emotional mess. It's not like me."

Lee nodded:"I know you don't really want to was just asking. Why don't you like being this way?"

"It makes me look weak. No one is going to take me serious. It's hard enough being a woman in Starfleet."

"Every thought of that you may truly be happy for once in your life and finally have found real true love?"

"I thought I had found it before but he really just wanted a slave who would bow down and kiss his feet, saying yes sir, whatever you want sir. If he loved me, he would of supported me when I wanted a job like I did him. When I wouldn't be that person, he dumped me without a second thought. And then he manipulated everyone around him to get full custody of Paul, his trophy kid. That is not love. This, what we have, is true love."

"It doesn't make you look weak and people will take you serious." Lee chuckled "Now don't make me tickle you."

"Don't you dare. Your have a lot of healing to do and you need to reserve your strength so we can help Bremer get Westmoreland."

He smiled at her:"Yes Imzadi what you and I have is true love. I love you." He leaned towards her for a kiss.

Alex kissed him back, "I love you too."
