Message recived & Breakfast with a Captain

Lee had finally woke up from the very few hours of sleep that he got. He wore just a pair of shorts, slowly he made his way to the replicator for a cup of coffee. As he took the first sip of coffee Lee reached out in his mind for Alex and not surprisingly found her already awake.

"Care to join me for breakfast Imzadi?" He said to her telepathically.

Alex was already dressed and was heading for the bridge. A big smile came upon her lips. She figured that a small detour was warranted.

He sat at his desk:"Come to my quarters may have something to show you." He said again telepathically.

She spoke barely over a whisper, "I'm already there." She really needed to check in with the bridge crew, "Harrison to Lt. Carter.

"Carter here."

"How are things so far. Anything unusual on sensors?" Harrison inquired.

"Nothing out of the ordinary. Good so far."

"Very good Lieutenant. Carry on." She knew that sensors wouldn't pick up a cloaked ship but she still had them monitoring the space around them, keeping them on their toes.

When she got to Lee's quarters, she rang the chime and waited.

"Come."

Alex entered his quarters.

Lee smiled when he saw her enter:"Morning Imzadi, care for some coffee?"

She glanced around his place, "Coffee sounds great."

He rose and pointed to the chair he was sitting in while he got himself a fresh cup and her one too.

"You need to read that message I just got."

"Okay." She sat down and started to read.

"To Captain Pike,

It brings me great joy to inform you that I Colonel Torg have recently been promoted to General and per your request I will send you 3 Klingon Birds of Prey to the coordinates you sent me. They will remain cloaked until such time that you need them."

She smiled at the message. "Wow, 3 Birds of Prey, sweet! I guess it helps knowing people in high places. Good thing too. I think that we are going to need all the help we can get."

He smiled at her:"Yea does help knowing people in a few good places. General Torg is Sgt. Maal's father."

She took he coffee from him, "I don't know about you but I have an uneasy feeling about this mission. I don't know if there is one of Clark's people on this ship or if they are following us. It's frustrating."

Lee stepped behind her and started to rub her shoulders:"It is possible that one of Clark's people is on board and if they are, they are hiding it pretty good from me."

She sighed, "I'll be glad when this whole thing is over."

He leaned down to kiss her cheek while still rubbing her shoulders:"We will get through this like we always do. And I think it would be best to keep the 3 Klingon Birds of Prey just between the two of us."

"Most definitely. We'll keep it on a need to know basis." She relaxed a bit, "I've been thinking about Clark and this mission to capture him. I'm sure by now that he knows we are coming after him. He's not going to make it easy for us either. I'm hoping that we aren't going to get lead into a trap. With ex-Federation officers on his side, it could be very easy. I just don't want us to get screwed in the end."

Lee was still behind her rubbing her shoulders:"Yea I know that this mission is going to be very hard and hopefully we won't get screwed in the end but we need to be on our guard at all times."

Alex nodded in agreement.

Lee came around and held out his hand:"So what would you like for breakfast?"

"I don't know. How about you surprise me? I do need to get back to the bridge in an hour."

Lee smiled then kissed her lips:"And I have to be on the bridge in an hour and half dear."

"Yes you do." She smiled, "I can get used to being the boss."

He took her hand and lead her to the table:"Here sit hun and I'll get breakfast."

She took his hand and went with him. She sat down at the table.

Lee went over and pushed a few commands into the replicator:"How do you want your eggs?"

"Um, over medium."

He came back over and sat her a plate of 2 eggs, a 10oz steak, hashbrowns and toast:"It's called on Earth a trucker's breakfast." He then sat his plate down and then sat down himself.

"A trucker's breakfast, interesting. I've never eaten steak for breakfast but there is always a first time, right?" She dug in without hesitation.

Lee smiled at her:"Yep there's always a first time for everything." They sat in silence for a few minutes as they ate.

As she ate, she would glance at Lee once in awhile.

He sat back and stared at her, admiring how beautiful she truly was.

She could feel his eyes upon her which made her a little self conscious, "What's wrong? Do I have something on my face?"

Lee chuckled:"I was just admiring how beautiful you are is all."

She blushed a little, "Aww. Well thank you."

Lee smiled at her:"Your quite welcome my dear." He went back to eating.

Alex couldn't stop smiling as she continued to eat.

Lee finished his coffee and then stood up to get another cup:"Do you want another cup of coffee."

She looked down at her empty cup, "Um, no, I'd better not. But thanks anyway."

As he reached the replicator he turned around:"So do you think I should go to the bridge wearing this?" Lee stood there in just a pair of shorts.

Alex chuckled, "Nice try. Personally, I wouldn't mind but if I let you wear shorts, then I'd have to let everyone wear them. And then again, not everyone looks good in shorts like you do." She imagined some of the Federation alien species wearing shorts and it wasn't pretty.

Lee winked at her:"Why thank you dear, and you would look pretty hot in a pair of shorts yourself."

"If you play your cards right, one of these times, you may get the chance to see me. But right now, you'll have to just admire me in my uniform."

He put his cup in the recycler then walked back over and grabbed his plate and put it in the recycler:"Well I guess I should put a uniform on and get ready to head for the bridge."

"Oh shoot, I need to get going too. I was supposed to be there five minutes ago." She grabbed her stuff and disposed of it, "Thanks for the breakfast and the wonderful company." She gave him a kiss.

Lee kissed her back:"I'll be up on the bridge soon hun and your welcome for breakfast."

After she left his quarters he went and changed into his uniform.
