Mission: Episode 120 - Guardian at the Gate
Location: U.S.S. Perseus
Timeline: Current

ON:

Arev arrived at the hatch to the Perseus at the same time K'Wor did and acknowledged the other officer with a nod, "Lieutenant."

"Mister Arev isn't it?" K'Wor acknowledged the Vulcan, then asked off hand, "Wonder how longer this will take?"

Arev looked at the PADD in his hand for a second, "I believe it will take a hour, perhaps two to modify the shields." He stepped through the hatchway and they both began walking toward the bridge. "The suggested modifications do not appear to be overly complicated."

"They shouldn't be, I did came up with the modifications myself." Stark added rather boastfully as he boarded the Perseus. "You to get started on the bridge, I'll handle things in the Engine Bay."

After a few minute walk, both officers stepped on the Bridge. Arev made his way to the Ops station while K'Wor went to Tactical. Arev tapped the console to life and watched as the bridge went from stand-by to active. The Ops officer spoke, "I will begin the code modifications to the harmonic amplification subroutines."

"Right. I'll start on the shield modulation." K'Wor replied. "I think that new pilot, Sullivan I think....I think he's also coming. I'll have him start on the maneuvering thrusters and impulse engines."

Grian stepped aboard. "Mind if I do all the checks needed from the Ops station?" She asked K'Wor. She sat at the ops console and began going through the checks. She had only returned to duty two weeks prior due to a family emergency back on Betazed. It was still fresh in her mind but being back at work did help her focus on other things.

Anna came on board and looked to the others. “I will make certain everything is in order in case I am needed if that is okay?”

"Absolutely, if I can be of any assistance, please let me know." Grian replied.

Lt Sullivan boarded shortly after, heading straight to the helm station to make sure everything was looking good before reporting to Admiral Bremer. "Reporting as ordered, sir. Where do you want me?"

Bremer looked around for a moment, "You're the pilot, you fly the ship." He smirked, "This is going to be bumpy, see if you can boost the inertia dampers first, then we need to check maneuvering thrusters and impulse engines to make sure they're ready before starting your preflight checklist."

"Aye, sir," Sullivan replied confidently, "If it ain't raining, it ain't training. I'll get it done. I'll have us flying smoother than one of those old cruise ships in a calm sea."
Sullivan began tapping away at his station, a melody of beeps ensued as he accessed and adjusted the inertial dampener controls, before interfacing his console with engineering to check the engine systems.
"Engines are optimized and running at maximum efficiency, sir, moving on to standard pre-flight checklist now."

A moment later, there was a quick flash of green and white light as a member of Jurati's crew beamed in. Mike eyed the figure for a few moments before speaking.

"You must be Two of Ten." Mike's tone wasn't very welcoming.

"I am." She replied, then added, "Rest assured I am not here to assimilate you or this craft."

Mike eyed the Borg again for a moment. Like Jurati, Two of Ten's Borg implants were canceled mostly, and he could tell at one point she had been an attractive woman, probably human.

"That was, a joke." Two of Ten added and attempted to smile, but it looked awkward at best. "I will assist with shield reinforcement."

K'Wor looked back at his father for a moment, then at the Borg, "I'm already working on that."

"Then I will assist you in completing the task as efficiently as possible." Two of Ten replied as she walked over to Tactical station and stood beside him.

Mike watched for a moment, then nodded to K'Wor to allow Two of Ten to help.

Ariana offered a smile as she walked onto the bridge. She had her duties as T’Lar’s First Officer to consider as well.

Grian turned around from her station towards Ariana. "It is good to see you again, Lieutenant Monroe-Wayne, I heard a rumour that our Assistant Chief Engineer for Starbase 400 is with child. Is it a rumour?" Grian asked.

“That’s really something that you should be asking Lieutenant Vox, Commander” Ariana answered. “It’s not my place to confirm or deny on behalf of another.”

"You're right. I will endeavor to do so once this is all over." She replied returning to her station.

“If this is true.” Anna said with a smile. “I wish her all
The happiness with her new child.” She couldn’t comment either way. Confidentiality and all.

Grian turned to Bremer. "All seems ready Admiral. As far I my system checks are concerned."

Mike nodded, "Thank you." He looked around at everyone else. "Everyone else ready to go?"

“I guess so” Ariana nodded.

Arev looked over the readouts at the Ops station, "Affirmative, sir." A few chirps as commands were entered, then he continued, "All system modifications are online and fully integrated."

"Sounds like you are on the ball with this one, Arev. Superb " Grian commented.

Two of Ten disconnected from from an access port near the Flight Control station, "I've boosted your thrusters by ten percent, and improved their response time by twelve percent. I believe these improvements will allow us to better navigate the conduit.

Mike nodded. He then looked around the small bridge of the Perseus. Similar to a Defiant class ship's bridge, but smaller with only one egress door and little to no aft station to speak of, except for one small panel'

K'Wor then spoke up, "Tactical is ready."

Mike took a seat in the center chair. "Kyle should have his Marine squad aboard by now and Dr. Bagwell should have the Med Bay ready. Let's go."

Two of Ten stook behind Bremer and to his left and eyed the Admiral for a moment.

The Aquarius class light escort detached from and backed away from the Pegasus before turned to starboard and moved slowly toward to conduit's aperture.

"Signal the fleet that we're moving in." Mike stated and K'Wor giving a nod after sending the message.
