Mission: Episode 118 - "It's About Family"
Location: Trill
Timeline: Current

Location: Market

Jaxon was clueless that Anna and Dee had set up the scenario so he'd be alone with her, he was so nervous about making a good impression he didn't see the subtlety or the hint that she was into him as much as he was into her. "Thank you so much, I hate shopping alone. Most of the time I feel like I get the wrong items."'Jaxon said as I started to walk away from the coffee shop, he had his cup in his hand and took a sip. They were vendors all around them so they just went up to the first vendor booth.

"No problems. We have all, at one time it another, been entrusted to do some shopping and come back with either the wrong item or without it entirely. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. It's a human expression." She explained.

"Got the T-shirt huh? What a strange thing to say, yet I find that to be very humorous"' Jaxon said, as he chuckled. He had noticed how friendly she was around him, which did not bother him since he was doing the same thing.

"What do you think of these?" He has pointed to several vegetables of decent size. Has he picked one up, he handed it to her so she could get a better look at it.

"These look good. Is your mother planning on making something with them? From looking at them, you could make a Tahnek Soup but you would need the right spices to go with it. "

"My mother's like the space queen, I'm pretty sure that's what she's making she hasn't told me she just gave me a list but according to this list I would think that she is making Tahnek Soup," Jaxon said to her, as he handed her a data pad with all the ingredients. He was enjoying her time and she seemed to know the vegetables better than he did, it took him a little longer to realize that his mom was probably making the soup she picked it up within seconds.

Taking the padd, she glanced through the list. "Yep, that's a Tahnek Soup. By the looks of it, your mother likes it a bit spicier than it normally is. Extra mokni Chillies. Hot stuff. I wouldn't mind trying a bowl. " She replied.

"We should have plenty, my mom always makes more than we need." Jaxon pointed out to her, knowing that his mom likes to make big portions of everything. Is one of the things that he left about her, he never went hungry in her house.

"I often do that myself when I do cook, which is rare these days, what with the promenade on Starbase 400 being so convenient. Now and then I get the urge to cook something from my mother's family recipes. " Dee commented.

"We are pretty pampered on the station aren't we, at least it's not replicated food," Jaxon said with a big grin on his face, thinking to himself he didn't know if he could eat weeks on end of replicated food. "So do you have any big plans with your mom tonight? Or at all this week?" Yes, because he had a secret motive he would like to see her again before they left but he needed to know if she had other plans this is his nonchalant way of asking.

"I wouldn't let the Fleet Admiral hear you using the term, pampered but it is somewhat accurate. I do need to check in with my mother this evening to see how her meeting went with her group and whether they are ready to submit their rewritten proposal to the Provincial Council. I am also staying at my family home rather than a hotel. I am here for another five days and then I need to get back to SB 400. I have no actual plans between now and then. What did you have in mind?" she asked. She did have some plans but now that he was here, she had practically binned them.

Jaxon had a warm smile on his face, the idea of spending time with her was very tempting, he just needed to play it smoothly to make sure it would happen. "I'll think about visiting the rose gardens later on, or maybe taking a stroll over by the park." He said thinking both options would be very fun and rewarding, one for the beautiful aesthetic look of the whole thing but then the other reason for sharing that with a beautiful woman.

"I would love to have a walk in the park and the rose gardens. I know a very nice outdoor bar near the gardens if you fancy dressing up a bit and going for a glass of wine." Dee suggested.

"I like the way you think, there is a Vineyard, not too far away if memory serves me correctly," Jaxon said. Remember walking up there from the Rose Garden before so it wasn't that far outside again. He was right it was a beautiful day to walk and then they could walk out to the top of the vineyard and sip some wine as they overlooked the scenery. The idea sounded romantic and promising.

"I would like to change before we meet up at the vineyard. So let's get your produce back to your mother, then I can change and we can then go for some nice wine and scenery. " Dee suggested

The two finished gathering the items on Jaxon's mother's list. On their way back to his family home, Dee spotted a dress she liked and bought it without Jaxon noticing it. Once they arrived at his home, his mother and father were out.

"I am going to change to something different," Dee advised whilst standing in the kitchen of Jaxon's family home. "I bought something whilst you were busy looking at the bookstall. Where can I change?" she asked.

"The guest bedroom here," Jaxon said what a smile on his face, there was a guest room pretty close to the kitchen where he was putting the vegetables and fruit on the counter. In the house, the counter was on an island and had a couple of bowls filled with different varieties of fruits and vegetables. He walked over to the door and opened it for her, but not before smiling. "If you need anything I'll be in my room for a few minutes, I'm going to change as well."'he said thinking that he needed to wear some dress slacks in a button-up shirt to look more professional.

Dee finished changing into the long blue sleeveless fitted dress she bought from the market. It hugged her figure rather well. The dress had a plunge neck which showed off a moderate amount of cleavage but nothing too over the top. She came out from the guest room and back into the kitchen. Jaxon had not finished getting changed.

Jaxon started to get dressed, as he looked around his old room it'd been a little bit since he'd been in this room. Granted he spent the night last night but first thing this morning is already out and about running around the market. He started to look back at some of the old trinkets and tokens that he had of his childhood for a brief moment he just smiled thinking about them. But then he realized that he had a guest in the kitchen and he needed her up and get back to her so they could start their walk.

Jaxon finished planning up his blouse shirt and then went over to the mirror just to make sure everything was on mine properly and looked good, he didn't want to look like a slouch in front of Dee. But with a small grin on his face, he proceeded out of his room and then back into the kitchen, where he saw the most beautiful woman in the universe standing next to the island in the kitchen wearing a perfectly fitting blue dress his mouth practically dropped I saw her backside and how well the dress curved around her body, just like in a Hollywood scene she spun around with that beautiful smile on her face.

Jaxon was speechless for a moment, it took everything he had just to keep his mouth from dropping to the floor. After a few seconds of silence, he finally managed to scramble a few words together. "You look incredible." He said with a big grin on his face.

"Thank you. I do look smart in my uniform but I do prefer something more like this. You look very handsome yourself. I am surprised you're parents haven't got back yet. Do you want to wait or shall I meet them another time?" Dee asked.

"Another time my mom's working a 12-hour shift today she won't be home till later tonight, my dad will be somewhere on the senate floor giving some lecture presentation," Jaxon said with a smile on his face as he continued to admire her for a moment, but then slowly starting to walk over towards her.

"If you want to meet my parents I can arrange it," Jaxon said in calm collected terms, but deep inside he's kind of eager, he kind what knew what that meant. She was into him, and he was definitely into her.

"Sure. Let's get to the Rose Garden for a stroll and some fresh air. Then on to the Vineyard. There's a bottle of wine with my name on it waiting for me. Shall we?" She said moving towards the door. Giving him another look at her shapely figure and bottom in her blue dress.

"Of course." He simply said as he started to leave his parent's place, it wasn't a long walk to reach the rose gardens. After a short time, they started into the gardens. " I think it's been 4 years since I've been here," Jaxon said as it immediately noticed the beauty in the vibrant smells illuminating the flowers. As pretty as all this was it didn't compare to the beauty that was standing next to him and sharing this moment with him.

"It is a beautiful place to go for some fresh are and enjoy the flowers. It's been a while since I was here too. The last time I was here I was a young girl and then before that, I was a man on a date. " She replied remembering when Raekwon brought Varena.

Jaxon knew what she meant, she was referring to the host memory of her symbiont. Even though he was enjoying himself, he knew from school lessons that a host and their symbiont share a unique bond that sometimes completely lines it's up to the host to navigate those lines. "Well, I'm glad I give you the first one to share this experience with you Dee. And of course with Vox as well."

They slowly started to walk around, he gently reached his arm out allowing her to hook it if she wanted to, it was his polite way of saying take my arm if she wanted to. They slowly started to walk towards the first set of flowers. Their fragrance was appealing to the senses.

She hooked her arm around his and drew him slightly closer. "That scent of all these beautiful flowers is quite intoxicating. I wonder if they still have the amazing black orchid they had when I was here with Venera. It was 15 years ago so they may have refreshed some of the flower beds." She comments.

"When I was younger I never really admired their beauty. Being here today though, makes me really appreciate them. I'm so glad we decided to come here." Jaxon said, as he gently took her hand in his and they continued to walk around. The black orchids were really pretty.

As he took her hand in his she couldn't help get a warm and fuzzy feeling. She could feel his skin against hers and, ever so slightly, his pulse, which seemed a little fast. She glanced at him with a smile. He was enjoying seeing beauty but it was clear to her that it wasn't the flowers.

"Are you glad to be home, even if it's for a moment?" Jaxon asked. He was glad to be. He liked Starfleet, but part of him missed home.

"I am. Don't get me wrong I do love being on Starbase 400 but every now and then I do yern for being home. I have been home since before I graduated from Starfleet Academy. " Dee replied. She gently rubbed her thumb over the knuckles of his hand. "Speaking of good feelings, I want to be with you so shall we make things official, you know us as a couple and see where it takes us. "

Jaxon with a little surprised to hear say that, yeah feeling that she liked him but he didn't think that she was going to come on to him first. He wasn't exactly sure what to say, besides screaming, 'hell yeah.' after carefully consideration he probably assumed that wouldn't be the right course of action. "I would like to see where it takes us too." He said it was a smile on his face.

"Great. " Dee replied with a smile. The two continued to walk along a path lined with beautiful roses either side. They turned a corner and headed towards the fountain in the middle of the gardens. The fountain was well over 200 years old and had recently had some renovation work done but not so much as to make it look new. Just essential repairs to ensure it continued to operate and produce that delightful background sound to the gardens along with the many wild birds.

The two sat on a bench facing the fountain. You could just feel a hint of mist from the water cascading from the fountain, in the air as it landed on any bare skin. At the right angle, the remaining light of the day was still being refracted into the colours of the rainbow through the fountain mist.

"I am so glad you volunteered to pilot the Saratoga. I can pretty much guarantee I would not be having such an amazing time right now, if you hadn't I would probably be at home with my parents, listening to their gossip about one of the neighbours. Thrilling." Dee chuckled.

"I'm glad to you that I decided to come. I swear I didn't know you were going to be on the ship. But I'm glad you were, I've enjoyed our couple of dates. If I may ask, what is your neighbours doing that is exciting your family?" Jaxon asked curiously. He tried to quickly deflect the question back to her cuz he didn't really want to explain why he was glad that she was there he wasn't trying to stalk her it was a happy accident that they were both there he was just easier to get into relate even though he didn't want to scare off by saying such.

"My mother, who has a good heart and is always trying to do good things, occasionally meddles in things that are way more complicated than she realises.

In this case, she and a group of people from our village were adamant that converting a disused quarry, which had over the year become a haven for wildlife and rare plants, into a Transport Hub, was a bad idea.

They never considered that they could combine the two and have both. I had to come out here, as the request of my cousin, and show them. For some reason, my mother and her group would not listen to my cousin. As for gossip, I don't think there really is any, well not that I would be interested in. Usually its what plants are new in their garden and things like that. Boring." she said smirking.

"Sometimes boring isn't a bad thing." Jaxon suggested to her, sometimes the simplest things in life are the easiest to deal with. But almost as easy as dealing with the boring things in life. Boring things have a way of allowing us to absorb and processing things that have happened. Jaxon preferred the boring times, because he always felt like he had a lot to process.

"In any case, I'm glad you're here. And I'm glad I can sharing this moment with you right now." Jaxon said with the smirk on his face. He was a little nervous, try not to show it trying to sound confident but deep down he was nervous he's going to need one of those boring moments later on the process everything that has been going on today.

"I'm glad I came too and you're right about the boring and the mundane. We often need these to absorb and process the crazy and unusual. I often love quiet days in engineering on Starbase 400 when very little happens and it's just routine work, updates and maintenance. Any idea where we can find a bit of boring to process things? " She asked.

"Courier runs in a runabout and the long days. Well I guess I should say it's more like the long shifts, we just basically sit in the cockpit and have nothing better to do than think sometimes I would watch a movie other kinds of reviewing system reports and most of the time I'd be lost in my own thoughts. He gives me a lot of time and opportunity to reflect on life and the choices that I make. Any opportunity I can to do a long run and drop off a couple passengers, sign me up." Jaxon said with an eager look on his face. You didn't always like long trips but when he needed to unwind or process he would always sign up for them most of time would be a 96-hour jump to somewhere and back so they gave him plenty of time to reflect.

"On the station there is a power conduit crawl away on Level 107 which has a very soothing hum. I have been know to sit in there and think about things and sometimes have a good cry. " Dee replied. She then realised she had just given away one of her secrets.

"What's wrong with that? Sometimes we all need a good cry, especially after everything we went through in the last few years. I can only imagine what you had to go through. Your symbiote memories plus your own memories. That is a lot to take in and to process." Jaxon said wondering if he could even handle something like that, he pretended to be a big macho guy but deep down he's not sure if he could.

"Nothing, I suppose. I had no training at all before I was joined. The most I got was a thirty minute chat with the ship's doctor who wasn't a Trill and then some padd's to read. I have had to deal with all these memories of five lifetimes. Is it any wonder the training initiates go through is so extensive. Then, whilst dealing with that, I had to get use to a new posting with a new role and then there's.. "

She stopped herself. She didn't know if she should tell him about her inner conflict of her sexuality and the one romance with K'Lara which ended so badly. She took a deep breath and sighed, thinking about it, brought a single tear to roll down her cheek.

"How are you doing currently, I'm hoping maybe my distraction might be helping a little." Jaxon said as he was trying to cheer her up. Email it would not be an easy task, because he had no reference how to cope with somebody joined. He also needs she didn't have the training because she just said so. I didn't surprise him why she wanted to cry. He probably would too, if he was in her place.

"I'm coping as best I can but some days are easier than others. Some days, with so much going on, with people depending on me, my emotional shielding can only handle so much strain."

"I don't mean to pry too much, have you thought about talking to a therapist, or at least a friend?" Jaxon asked, he was a little concerned for her safety. He knew that a symbiont could be overwhelming if not properly trained the only reason he needed us because they told him that in school.

"I have had a few sessions with a counsellor and I do talk to friends about things but probably not everything as I don't want to burden them with my problems as the probably have enough with their own." Dee replied.

"Well you don't have to worry about that with me. I will be here for you, if ever need an ear. Anytime and anywhere." Jaxon advised her with a warm grin on his face.

Dee looked at Jaxon. Here was a man that really seemed to care about her. His words were like music to her ears. She wanted to kiss him but didn't want to look like she was trying to rush things or look remotely desperate but her need for meaningful and lasting companionship was strong. She reached out with her hand and put it on his shoulder.

"You really do mean that don't you. I can see it. " she said. She was able to smile again inside as well as outside. "Not here though, I do believe we promised each other a glass of wine, so how about we get on to the winery?" she asked.

The two of them have been walking around the gardens, looking at the different flowers and smelling the wonderful fragrances. Jaxon smiled as she put her hand on his shoulder, he had a feeling their first kiss was around the corner. The anticipation was in the air, his whole body tingled has he thought about to tell them sharing their first kiss. For the moment though he needed to play it cool.

"I've been told the views at the top of the vineyard are incredible." Jaxon said as he gently grabbed her hand off of his shoulder and then interlaced his fingers with her fingers. In part he was testing the water just to make sure he was getting the right signal from her. And another part he just wanted to be physically close to her. The decision was hers does she accept his hand as he pulls it down close to her side.

As his fingers interlaced with hers, she smiled. Inside age was fighting an urge to embrace and kiss him but she really didn't want to rush him or look too eager, or worse, desperate. She interlaced the fingers of her other hand with his and stared at his green eyes. Her mind drifted to a memory of one of Vox's previous hosts, Lerani, who's philosophy in life was to seize the moment. There maybe other opportunities but not the one you might miss right this second.

Dee pulled him gently towards her, and for a moment time seemed to slow down. Smiling again, she kissed him on the lips.

Jaxon was a little surprised, but in a good way. And his mind he thought this kiss would have took him place at the vineyard. But standing here near all the beautiful flowers was just as romantic and pretty of any location. He started to embrace her warm touch, feeling her lips delicately pressing against his as he returned with such passion and gentleness. The scene starts to fade away.

End this part of JP (great way to end the scene, if you ask me)

--------------------------------------------------------

Location: Market

"I see what you did there, I am very impressed Mrs Bagwell." Ezekiel said with a grin. "but I know you you're not going to let this go, you're planning a double date when they come back with us right?" Ezekiel says he looked his wife.

“Yes.” Anna said with a smile. “This is where I need your help, Zeke. I need to plan something that is intimate but not blatant in your face that I am matchmaking.”

"Oh I think it's obvious you're trying," Ezekiel told her. He was not sure what recommendation to make to her. He thought about it for a moment and they went on to say. "We're supposed to go to that couples immersion therapy Session today," Ezekiel said with the grid on his face, it's supposed to help him become more connected to his partner even though they had been engaged for a while and together for over 6 plus years almost a decade by now he still had a hard time with his emotions and keeping them balanced.

“Oh yes!” Anna was excited. “I’ll book them a session too! It will be fun.” She smiled at him. “We both know they like each other they just need a little push.”

"What's wrong with letting things happen naturally?" Ezekiel asked knowing his wife being a doctor that she see the benefit to his deductible reasoning.

“Really Zeke?” Anna looked at him with her eyes wide. “If we wait for them they will be old and gray. They need a nudge in the right direction.” Why couldn’t he see she was trying to help?

"You are the most loving willing and compassionate person I know and have been very patient with me, but when it comes to your keep it like abilities you have no patience at all I notice." Ezekiel said being brutally honest with her. Because he had that whirlwind slow romance, maybe they should have got married a few years sooner but things happen for a reason and he knew that.

“I want everyone around me to have the happiness I have found with you.” Anna returned. “What is so wrong with that?”

"'Beyond the fact it's not necessary. We both can see the chemistry between them. I have discovered if you push to hard it can be ruined."'Ezekiel advised her. He felt it should happen naturally.

Anna thought for a long moment. “All right then. What are we doing when we meet up today? I’ll leave it up to you.” She hated that Zeke was right and that he apparently did not like that part of her personality but compromise was good.

"Let's go with what you have planned but after this we can probably allow things to naturally happen will give him a little bit of a push that you feel that they need." Ezekiel said as he thought about it.

“Dee just messaged me.” Anna said with a smile. “They want us to meet them at the rose gardens. Do you know where that is?”

"I suppose we can reschedule our appointment. Have you seen some posters across town about the gardens, I wouldn't mind checking them out. What do you want to do my love?" Ezekiel asked, they could do himself he rather do the interaction therapy but they could always reschedule that they're going to be here for a few more days.

"The gardens sound fine." Anna replied with a smile. "I need to go back and change." There was a dress she wanted but Anna had decided not to get it. She had to shop for the wedding party yet and she didnt want too much to take home.

"I wouldn't mind going up to the vineyard once we're done with them Rose garden it's just a small walk afterwords to the vineyard" Ezekiel said is he started to head back to the dress shop they just passed, but he gently grabbed her hand as he suggested for her to follow him. He walked right over to the dress that she had been looking at. "I want get this dress for you, as a token of my love for you."

Ezekiel wasn't open as his motions as other people were, so for him to tell her this took a lot of courage in his own right. But he wanted Anna to know how much he cared for her, he knew how much you liked that dress. He knew he would like it on her as well.

Anna felt her eyes well and blinked rapidly. Zeke wasn’t one to say things like that very often. She hugged him tightly and whispered. “I love you so much!” Her eyes lit up with happiness as she found her size. “You know me so well, I really love this dress! Thank you, my love.”

Anna watched as he took the dress to the counter and thought that she was the luckiest woman in the world. She would never forget this moment. It had moved her in ways she couldn’t express at the moment.

"I do have a favor to ask though."'Ezekiel said with the grin on his face. He passed for a moment, before continuing on. "Before we leave here you'll dance with me in that dress." He simply asked in a polite and calm tone.

“I would love to dance with you.” Anna smiled widely. She was so happy to have him ask her that. “I want to do as many special things as we can before we have to go back.” She smiled at him. “You have made me the happiest woman ever, Zeke. I can’t even do Justice to how loved you make me feel.”

Ezekiel smiled as they headed off to the room to change and then later they started to make their way towards the Rose garden. As they started to approach the garden, Ezekiel was speechless the place looks beautiful. "Wow." Was all he could think of say. Rarely had he ever been this speechless.

“I would say it is beautiful but that doesn’t quite describe it.” Anna murmured. She stared at it for the longest time. “This is one of those perfect moments of our honeymoon.” She looked at him. “We need to take a picture.” She knew he hated them but she wanted some memories to save.

Ezekiel pulled out his Holo recorder, and a nearby pedestrian asset he could snap their photo for them. He was more than happy to handle the gentleman just hollow recorder. Ezekiel pulled Anna close to him if he put his arms around her and held her closely, he was behind her while Anna was in front of him her arms were no lock with his and a cute romantic pose. After they had completed the photo the man handed Ezekiel back his hollow device which he used with one hand to put back into his traveling case he didn't want to let go of Anna.

Anna loved it when Ezekiel was wanting this closeness with her. He always was affectionate at home but in public they tried to show a certain decorum with their status on the base but now that they were married it would be different.

"There's just so much to see, I don't know where to go next." Ezekiel said being okay with the fact that he had no idea where to go next, because everything around it was just remarkable and beautiful. Baby Anna would guide them in a direction that they could go.

“I got this brochure at the market.” Anna opened it up. “There is a vineyard if you want to go there and I thought maybe in the way we could walk along this path it mentions that we can see some interesting Trill architecture.”

"I hope they have good sparkling cider for you." Ezekiel suggested as he rubbed her belly. He was excited to be a father. There was a moment he thought this day would never come.

“I’m sure they will.” Anna said with a smile. “Not everyone can drink alcohol so you would think they would have other kinds available.” She loved how involved he was in this pregnancy.

"I've never had Trill wine or sparkling cider before. I wonder what it tastes like?" Ezekiel soon it would be similar to Earth but he could be completely wrong.

Anna smiled. “That is the fun of our honeymoon. We get to explore new things. I know you really like things the same, what you know and count on but I hope that you are enjoying our time here as much as I am.” It might sound funny since he had made the choice but she wanted to know he was happy as well.

"No where else I rather be." Ezekiel said, with a big grin. Even though he was uncomfortable, he was doing this for him and in part for her.

“Good!” Anna replied. “I am so glad we waited to get married when the time was right. Especially that your family was able to be there.” She smiled at him. “Our family now.” Her eyes lit up. “I love the sound of Lieutenant Commander Anna Bagwell.”

"As do I, my love." Ezekiel said as he leaned in kiss her in front of a few flowers, seeing felt like his out of a Hallmark movie from the 21st century. After a few minutes you smiled as he slowly leaned away. "Should we just start walking the direction?" Yeah still feeling slightly overwhelmed by all the beauty around him and not knowing which way to go.

“Yes.” Anna nodded. “It will head us in the direction to where the vineyards are. I think it will be fun to try different ciders and I know you will be trying wines.” She took her hand in his. “Then we can decide what we want to do when we meet up with Jason and Dee.” She hoped the other couple was getting on well but Zeke was right it wasn’t anything she should involve herself in.

"Oh there a couple of rows over I already spotted them earlier, I know you're trying to play Cupid but it looks like they're doing fine last time I saw them." Ezekiel said, he wanted her to himself for this moment. He knew they would meet up again soon, but right now he just wanted to be alone with his wife. The garden was a really romantic setting and he was really enjoying it.

“‘I’m done with the Cupid thing.” Anna said honestly. “I need to just let people make their own choices.” She smiled at him. “I am enjoying that we are having some time for ourselves.” her eyes lit up. “I mean, this is our honeymoon after all and it feels romantic to be alone with all this beauty.”

"You're very good at it though." Ezekiel said trying to encourage his lady not to give up. "You should look at them. You've done your magic. "

"But one of these days it will blow up in my face." Anna explained. "I would rather quit while I am ahead." Her eyes met his. "We need to think of names for our baby." She paused. I"Iwas thinking Wallace or Agatha." She worked hard to keep a straight face at the look on his face.

"Wallace or Agatha?" Ezekiel said with a disapproving look on face. He did not like either option. He did not want to hurt her feelings.

Anna started laughing at his words. "I was kidding you, Honey. Those are horrible names!" She hugged him. "I can't believe you fell for that!"

"You had me going there for a moment." Ezekiel said, thinking to himself how does he always fall for that. He had grown accustomed to it she was one of the few people he allowed to pick on him.

“I was thinking more of your middle name if we have a boy.” Anna said with a smile. “I would like him to carry on your name in a way.” She looked at him.

“Sometimes I want to pinch myself, it is almost hard to believe we are actually having a baby. Do you think maybe it just wasn’t our time, like getting married? We just had to do it when it worked for us?”

"That is a very dangerous question to ask. I'm not a big philosophical debate type of guy as you know. But if I had to say anything I would say it was meant to happen at this time I don't understand why it was this time but it was." Ezekiel pointed out to her.

“You’re right it probably is.” Anna admitted. “I think it was the waiting so long I had almost given up and my emotions can be all over the place. I’m going to apologize in advance for any midnight runs for ice cream with pickles or if I start crying for no reason. I don’t know if I will go through that but a lot of women do.”

Ezekiel didn't know what to say, so he just pulled her close. You gently put his hand across her cheek as his eyes locked into hers. Even failure with his loving compassion that is going to be okay.

Anna felt in that moment like they were the only two people in the universe. It was as is everything around them stopped, the people frozen in time like an old movie. Her eyes were on his and she felt the love he had for her more profoundly than ever. “I love you more than any words can ever say and your gift of our child growing inside me means more to me than I can say.” She didn’t want to break the moment, it was one of those rare moments that she treasured, always.

"I love you as well, do you think maybe when we get back we can maybe look at getting a summer home or a weekend home in Kaleb IV?" Ezekiel asks, knowing that might please her. Even though the station was here there was a lot of space, it was full of Starfleet officers it was no privacy. Plus he had always dreamed of owning a house on a planet, maybe having a couple of dogs and a small family to live by his side.

“I would like to have our place there,” Anna said honestly.
“I wish I had thought of that. It will be good to raise our children with a taste of both lives and it will be nice to be able to get away from work and have some time for us.”

"I do like the station, I do. But it's not a home it's not a house where we can raise a family eventually. I feel like a house down on the planet side would make me feel like we're a family we have a home a place to go to other than the station when we need to." He said hoping that made sense to her.

“I understand, Honey,” Anna said with a smile. “We need a place to raise our children that isn’t a part of our everyday work life. I want our baby to experience swimming, playing catch with you in the backyard and maybe even having a dog one day.” She looked at him with a sheepish grin. “It seems we have both been thinking along the same lines.”

"That's why we're so perfect for each other. We complete each other. There's no one else I'd rather spend the rest of my life within a house with two dogs raising children and having a little bit of property."' Ezekiel said as he continued to think about how wonderful it would be. "Are you ready to head to the vineyard?" He says they happen to be heading towards that direction already, they had explored most of the Rose Garden but somehow kept missing Jaxon and Dee.

“Yes,” Anna said with a smile. “I am rather thirsty and some cider sounds good to me at the moment.” She took his hand in hers and they continued heading towards the vineyard.

Ezekiel smiled as the scene started to fade away, before they got too far he put his hand on her cheek pulled her close, and kissed her. There was such passion, love, and joy in his lips as he pressed them gently against hers.
