- Aboard the Buccaneer. -

As the both Interceptors broke formation and headed off to search for 7 of 9 and the rangers, Grian thought it best to make sure both ship's were working together and on the same plan. She opened a channel to the Falcon.

=^=Grian to Bagwell. What's the plan? =^=

=^= Seven has been spotted in this area, lets start up a search grid. That should get her attention. =^= Ezekiel said, hoping that Seven would take the bait. They needed to talk to her, and get any helpful information. He knew the Romulan's were not being totally forthcoming. Despite the fact, they were willing to share the research notes with the Federation. Something just felt off to him.

"Let's hope so. I also hope she is willing to help us. If you take the even grid numbers, we can search the odd numbers. How does that sound?" Grian asked

"Sounds like a plan, lets make this fun. The first one to report anything of value, wins a bottle. I have a 2343 bottle of Saurian Brandy on the line." Ezekiel said with a big grin. They would need something to motivate them through a standard boring search grid.

"Well, Saurian Brandy and 2343 no less. You are on. " Grian replied.

USS Falcon, Bridge

Ezekiel was sitting in his command chair, as he looked over to Sam his helmsman. With a big grin on his he called out. "Helm prepare to alter course, I use sent to you target package alpha." Ezekiel called out.

Target package Alpha was the last known system that Seven of Nine had been spotted in. Sam brought up the coordinates on his navigation system. He called out with a little excitement in his tone.

"Number One, get Commander Grian on the line, lets confirm that Target Package Alpha, and prepare to warp out of the system." Ezekiel called out as he looked over to Sarah. He wondered how she was doing. He really did not get a chance to discuss their side mission.

“Yes Captain.” Sarah turned and hailed the other ship, waiting for Commander Grian to come on line.

USS Bucaneer, Bridge

"Captain, we are being hailed by the Falcon." an officer announced.

"On screen." Grian requested.

The screen flashed on.

=^= What have we got Captain Bagwell? =^=

Ezekiel was a little optimistic, but it was all in good faith. =^= "We have a low fainted warp signature that is consistent with Seven's raider." =^= Ezekiel called out, thinking this seemed to be good to be true, but hoping he was wrong and it was her. She had nothing to hide from the Federation.

"Excellent. Let's track it and see where it leads. " Grian replied.

"You heard the lady, Helm. Plot a course, following the wake of the raider." Ezekiel called out. He looked over to Sam, thinking that he needed to spend more time with him and the others from his crew. Especially now that Anna has left the ship, and took on the role as Chief Medical Officer of Starbase 400.

"Aye Captain. It's going to challenging sir, but I can do it. Don't be surprised if we have to make a few course corrections along the way." Sam called out, as he started to calculate and plot the initial course.

"Do your best, and make sure to update your course with the Bucaneer's Helmsman." Ezekiel ordered. He had the utmost confidence in Sam's abilities as helmsman.

Sam nodded his head, as the ship course plotted, the navigational system on the Falcon, was showing ready. He sent the navigational course to the Bucaneer's Helmsman as well. "Course plotted and standing by, Captain." Sam called out with a prideful tone.

"Engage." Ezekiel said, as he watched on the main viewer the ship alter its course. "Lieutenant Reynolds can you display a tactical read out of the Falcon's flight path." Ezekiel called out. He wanted to make sure they were not being lead into a trap.

Something immediately caught his eye, as the tactical display overlapped the navigation course. "Commander Grian, are you seeing this too?" Ezekiel asked.

"We are picking up two signals for the same ship, One of them, we are guessing is a decoy but which one. The signals appear to be identical but in two different locations and moving at the same speed. How can we differentiate between them?" Grian replied. She then looked again at the data. "Hold on one moment Ezekiel. One of the signals doesn't fluctuate much at all where as the other one behaves more like a normal signature. My gut says we follow that one and see if 7 is on the other end."

"Make the call, I got your back." Ezekiel said, as he looked over to Grian. She had good judgement. And most importantly he trusted her opinion. They did not have a lot of time to find Seven. This was there best chance.

"Go with the one with the more normal signature. The other one doesn't feel right. " Grian replied back.

"Agreed, I'll take the lead. Helm alter our course to follow the signature." Ezekiel called out as he looked over to Sam.

Sam adjust the course, "Aye captain." He simply said, as he watched the signal try to alter its course. He felt a little on edge.

Ezekiel looked over to Grian, "Looks like a game of cat and mouse, be prepared to spring the trap." He called out, knowing the commander would get the message.

"Understood. I will make sure I use some good mature cheddar to catch the mouse." She replied back.

Three days later
"Captain's Log, we have safely returned to SB400 after successfully coercing the help from 7 of 9 who, despite giving us a good game of cat a mouse from the outset, was extremely good to work with. Despite my best efforts of restraint, I couldn't help ask about her time aboard USS Voyager. I have a keen interest in, what has been dubbed, the longest away mission in history. Now that we are back at SB400, the updates to all the Interceptor class starships can begin."
