Having some time to spare in her schedule Ariana had sent a message to Deezell requesting her presence at Bremer’s office. Arriving first she pressed the chime and waited for a response before stepping inside.

“Good morning Admiral” she smiled warmly.

Dee arrived and once advised she could enter, she stood next to Ariana.

Mike had been up all night trying to finish his reports to Starfleet Command and anyone else that needed a copy or clarification of details from the report. He took a sip of his hot raktijno before he stood.

“Admiral may I introduce you to Deezell Vox.” Ariana motioned to Dee. “As the name suggests she’s the new host of the Vox symbiont, due to the untimely demise of Raekwon.”

"Good Morning Admiral. " Dee replied.

"Good morning...Dee." Mike replied. He'd known other Trill, some very closely, and it was always awkward meeting a new symbiont with a new host for the first time. Some tried to maintain their own individuality over the symbiont, others let the symbiont lead. "Welcome to Starbase 400."

Mike motioned for them to take a seat as he nearly fell into his. He took another sip of the hot beverage and waited for either Dee or Ariana to start things off.

"Thank you Sir, although I have been here before, as Raekwon I lived here for many years. It is rather strange being assigned here for the first time and yet knowing the layout much better than any other officer on their first posting to Starbase 400." Dee commented.

Ariana smiled. “I can imagine it’s pretty odd.” She looked towards Bremer. “We have a request to make Sir. We’d like to organise a service in memory of Raekwon, for those here who knew him.”

Mike stood again, slowly, but because he was operating on caffeine and desire to get the reports finally done. This, however, gave him an emotional boost...even if it wasn't in the best circumstances. "Yes, a memorial. Yeah, I think that would be most appropriate."

After a second, Mike asked, "What do you plan to do with Raekwon's shop and ship?" Mike wasn't fully aware of Raekwon's untimely death, and if he had already been told or read the news it was mired in his mind at the moment.

"Sadly, his ship was destroyed after it collided with a quantum filament . Luckily he was rescued by the USS Rotorua before his ship exploded. I, as in Deezell was aboard the Rotorua at the time. When Raekwon died, the ship turned around to take the Vox symbiont back to Trill. The health of the symbiont started to deteriorate and being the only Trill onboard, I became the new host. As for the shop I recently did some refit work on the now empty shop, as I believe it is going be a Bolian restaurant ." Dee advised.

Mike sat back down...more like he slumped down. It was devastating news about someone he considered a friend and whom he'd known for years. "As well as the memorial service, I think adding him to the Station's 'Memorial Wall' would be appropriate too."

The 'Wall' was a section in the Promenade where people had posted the names and pictures of loved ones killed during the war. It had been recently updated with a holo-display where someone could select the name and the person's information, pictures, awards, and more could be displayed. Even after the war, the 'Wall' had been added to. It contained Starfleet personnel, Federation civilians, and even Klingons and others that someone felt should be honored and remembered.

Dee smiled. "He would have been honoured sir. " She commented. " I am happy to attend the service, but will stay at the back out of respect. " She added.

Ariana smiled. “That sounds like a wonderful idea Sir. When would be the best day and time for the service?”

"Tomorrow." Mike replied. "You pick the time."

Dee looked at Ariana "Rae was never a morning person so perhaps 1pm in the afternoon would be best." she advised.

Ariana nodded. “By all means, tomorrow at 1pm. Looks like we have a lot of planning ahead of us.”
