K'Temoc had finally been able to catch Harrison and Pike together. Pike was back in a fleet uniform with gray trim, so K'Temoc knew he'd accepted the Chief Intel position.

"Thank you both for meeting me. As you both know, I've been put in charge of SB400's new Special Operations Team. Because of recent departures, our mission to the colonies within the bounds of the new Neutral Zone was put on hold. Now, the Admiral's given me permission to recruit again." The Captain smiled.

Lee nodded to K'Temoc:"Your welcome Captain."

Alex stood there and smiled back at K`Temoc as she listened to him speak.

"Alex, I can think of no one better than you to serve as the Special Operations XO. Your Security and Tactical knowledge will be invaluable. You'd help me plan and lead any mission the team is assigned to, possibly even command your own. You'll also be assigned commander of the USS Steadfast, whenever she's needed. There is no promotion for you Captain, but it will mean a change to Command red." K`Temoc smirked.

Alex knew that she was changing positions but this was unexpected, "Really? Wow, thank you for the vote of confidence. And command of a ship as well. It can't get any better than this."

"Lee, I'd also like for you to join the team as well. Your Strategic Operations, Marine, and Intel training will also be valuable. Your intel duties will supersede any team assignment though. This will just be a part time job for you. "K`Temoc smirked again.

Lee chuckled a little:"The joys of being a jack of all trades."

"Good, great to have you both aboard. I have high expectations for this team. You both have a lot of experience to offer. Smith and O'Reily also believe have good experience and special skills. You may or may not know, but I've also done my time in Security/Tactical, Marine, Operations, and R&D."

K'Temoc paused a moment as the main screen came to life with the the diagram of a Sydney class runabout in the lower left corner and a map of the Federation/Romulan board dominating the rest of the screen.
"Now to business. As you both know, six modified Sydney class runabouts that were being stored and scheduled for scrapping were stolen. One was spotted near the colonies within the bounds of the soon-to-be re-established Neutral Zone. We're not sure if this is a coincidence, If the colonists are behind the thefts, or if Clark's Pirates had a hand in it."

Lee stood with his arms folded across his chest:"It almost sounds to me like it could be Clark's Pirates."

"The thefts were just after the Westmoreland brothers broke Clark out of the penal colony, so it's a possibility we need to follow up on. Chief O'Reily and Ensign Darr were taking the lead in this investigation, but with the Ensign's transfer the Chief will be handling a full briefing once we depart." K`Temoc replied.

Alex nodded, "Okay, and when will that be?"

"As soon as possible. Be aboard the Yorktown in an hour." K`Temoc nodded to the other two Captains before heading off for the Yorktown.

Lee nodded:"So who will all be going aboard the Yorktown?"

K`Temoc stopped before exiting. "The team consists of Chief O`Riely, Lieutenant Commander Smith, the two of you, and myself. Of course the standard crew complement of the Yorktown will be aboard the ship. See you both on-board."

K'Temoc left the room and headed for the Defiant class USS Yorktown...
