Ariana was sitting in the centre seat on the bridge of the Mercy, she was starting to get used to being an XO even if it was on a ship that was simply taking its turn doing it’s rotation by Starbase 23. There wasn’t really any need for her to be on the bridge right now but it was somewhere different to sit whilst she poured over ship reports. The crew knew their jobs and didn’t seem as bothered by her presence as they were by Hades, he seemed to throw everyone in overdrive the minute he set foot out of the turbolift.

“Excuse me Ma’am” A young woman stood in front of Ariana. “I have the latest report from Ops for you” She held out a PADD.

“Thank you Ensign ...”

“Anderson ma’am ... Keri Anderson” The young woman smiled. “I came up aboard the replacement ship and was assigned here for now as the ship isn’t ready yet.”

Ariana nodded. “In that case Welcome aboard Keri. You’ll find us all pretty easy to get along with. She looked over the report, noting a small shortage in some supplies. “Has there been any news on when we’ll get these replacement supplies? We’re a medical ship and we need all the requested supplies.”

Anderson shook her head. “I tried finding out but was told they’d be here when they got here.”

“Oh? Do you have the name of the person who told you that?” Ariana was surprised at that response but wasn’t going to let it ride.

“All listed on my report ma’am.”

“Right” Ariana nodded. “Good work, I’ll make sure your perseverance is duly noted. In the meantime I’ll try getting onto these people myself and see if I can get the rest of these supplies on their way to us.”

Getting out of her seat Ariana headed over to Hades ready room, he wasn’t currently using it so she borrowed it to get a hold of those listed on the report.

~ 30 frustrating minutes later ~

Ariana slouched out on the ready room couch, she’d argued until she was blue in the face about the supplies that were missing and had been about ready to call Hades in on it when one mention of Hades name had changed the whole conversation. Suddenly the supplies were available and would be on their way to Starbase 23 within the hour, with an expected arrival time of later that very evening!

“Well there’s something to be said for having Hades as your CO!” Ariana grinned before stretching out on the couch to finish signing off her reports.
