Long awaited reunion

Mission: Episode 106 – Stalemate
Location: USS Mercy
Timeline: MD1 1800 hrs

Ariana was impatiently pacing back and forth in the transporter room waiting for Cameron and Stacie to arrive, she wished for ages that they were seeing each other in person but now the wait was proving difficult.

Cameron was more then a little frazzled but he was sure things would work out. He picked up stacie and rolled over to the transporter PADD with her held firmly in his arms.

As the transporter shimmered into life Ariana practically ran over to greet Them. “Hey!!” She smiled her eyes twinkling with tears as she finally had contact in what seemed like forever! “How are you both? Are you okay?!” She didn't care if she was in public as she gave Cameron a loving kiss before giving Stacie a kiss too.

"I was bored out of my mind, but we are both ok. Though any thought about a family vacation will have to be put on hold." Said Cameron softly.

“I've waited so long just to be with you both!” Ariana grinned. “I've missed you both like crazy!!” She sighed. “I have some news for you, but not here." She motioned for him to follow her. "Let's go to my quarters"

~ XO's Quarters, not long after ~

Walking into her quarters aboard the Mercy Ariana gently took Stacie, giving her a loving cuddle after the time they'd spent apart. "I've missed this!" She couldn’t help but grin. “I said I had some news ... Imzadi I’m pregnant!!” She hoped he’d be as excited as her about it.”

"What? how? when?." Sputtered Cameron in shock and surprise. "No scratch that I know the answer to each of those questions. This is wonderful news! Wait a sec does the admiral know? Will this cause a problem for you as far as your career is concerned?" Asked Cameron softly

“Well I'll have to go on maternity leave again obviously but I'm only around nine to nine and a half weeks.” She grinned. “I had Doctor Hades check my readings when I first found out.”

"I am exstatic for you for us really this news is definately what I needed I will start trying to plan some things as soon as I can get either a new ship or we are back home on SB400."

Ariana nodded. "There's also another piece of news, Doctor Hades is putting me through the bridge officers test. He thinks I'll make a good bridge officer. Oh and there's this!" She flashed her new pip, "I got promoted!!"

"Congratulations on both pieces of news no one deserves it more than you. Of course I might be slightly biased there but that is my right." Said Cameron calmly he was overjoyed for her and truely happy at the news though it a way it added to his problems and right now he had no way to solve those problems.

“Enough about me, how have things been going with you and Stacie?” She looked longingly at the small bundle she was holding. “I wish I'd been there with you both, my maternal instincts were going crazy being separated from Stacie!”

"We were as good as could be expected though I lost the Dakota but considering I saved 150 civilians that is not bad. As for Stacie well see for yourself. She is becoming quite the little artist." Said Cameron with a chuckle as he spread out some of her recent attempts for Ariana to see.

Ariana grinned. The pictures were obviously mostly done by Cameron but they were certainly colourful small scrawl pictures. “I love them!! I see you’re quite the artist too my love. As for the Dakota I’m sure we can find another ship sometime.”

"I am sure I will find one as well eventually. Right now the biggest problem I have is boredom. there is no room on this station for me to open a shop and the engineers stations seem to think a civilian mechanic does not know his rear from a hole in the ground when it comes to shuttles or runabouts. Maybe I will see if the wayne family luck runs true." Said Cameron with a chuckle.

"I'm sure you'll prove to them that you know a lot more than they do! " Ariana smiled warmly. "I'm still looking forward to that family trip you promised me, so we'll have to find a new ship at some point. Plus it'll need that capacity for the large family you wanted." She smiled warmly. "Kaden was somewhat flabbergasted that I was pregnant again already, but as I told him you want a big family and I'm happy to provide you with that family."

"I will admit I am also more then a little surprised with the news happy beyond belief but surprised." Said Cameron lightly as he hugged ariana firmly.

“Well we did spend a fair amount of time in the bedroom once I was able to!” She grinned.

"Don't I know it." Said Cameron with a chuckle.

“Well I didn’t hear you complaining!” Ariana grinned as she looked down at Stacie who was already snoozing happily in her mother’s arms. “I have missed the two of you sooo much!!!”

Cameron just chuckled after all he had everything he wanted in life and he knew exactly how lucky he was.
