Mission:
Mission 75 - Time of Change
Location: Starbase 400/Uss Endeavor
Timeline: After the meeting in Tactical Astrometrics
After the meeting in Tactical Astrometrics, Commander Coleman had decided to head over to the USS Endeavor to work on some stuff he had been working on over there. The Engineering team and his team had been working on upgrading some of the systems to more modern conterparts.
He got on the nearest turbolift and said, "Docking Port 11, Starship Endeavor." When he said that, the doors slid shut and started going down numerous levels.
When the turbolift was heading down the different levels, Coleman started to think really quick and then, tapped his combadge and said, "Coleman to Gilmore. Can you meet me onboard the Endeavor please?"
Then, the he heard the voice of Ariel Gilmore, the station's other science officer, say, "I'm on my way, I'll be there in a few minutes sir." And with that, the comm channel closed.
Then, as the turbolift reached the level of Docking Port 11, the doors swished open and said, "Docking Port 11, USS Endeavor, under the Command of Commander Jonathan Coleman, Chief Science Officer."
With that, Coleman stepped off the turbolift and headed to the umblical that connected the station to the numerous vessels housed in the Docking Bay of the Starbase. He walked across it and when he was onboard, he got on the nearest turbolift and headed to the Bridge. To his suprise, he saw Lt. Gilmore already there.
When he walked and stood next to her, he said, "Thanks for coming on such short notice. As you know, we've been working on the Endeavor on getting her up to modern specs. Also, we've been trying to get her ready just in case we have to defend the station. But, we've also been trying to get her ready just in case that the Romulans play nice and let us into their borders. I just wish they would let us in because all we want to do is help them and the Remans."
Then, Gilmore said, "Yeah, they have always been a little Xenophobic when it comes to matters of having people help them. But, they did align themselves with the Typhon Pact, so I guess they are slowly opening up."
Then, Coleman pressed a few commands and crouched down and opened up a control panel and asked for the first tool and Lt. Gilmore said, "I can't believe that Romulas and Remus are gone though. I heard that a Vulcan was trying to help them out and was planning on using something like...Red Matter or something to help out by creating a blackhole to stop the explosion from hitting the planets."
Then, Coleman looked up as she haned him the next tool and said, "Yeah, Ambassador Spock was helping out and yet, it apparently didn't work. But, I did look over his work and it should have worked since blackholes are suppose to suck up all light and light can't even escape it. But, I guess the Red matter was too much and it might have hurt in some way."
Then, Lt. Gimore said, "Did I ever tell you that I debated one of my professors about blackholes once?"
Coleman looked up at her and said, "Really? What class and what were you debating about?"
She then went on to say, "Quantam Mechanics 440, senior year. Apparently, my teacher thought a lot of us were wrong because all black holes did was suck up light and crush everything in the event horizon. But, I did some research and found out that sometimes, they can create a portal of sorts to another diminension or another time. So, with Ambassador Spock, being missing, might have been sucked into the Black Hole and taken somewhere else in time or something, an alternate dimension. Just an idea."
Then, Coleman thought for a minute and said, "Everything's a possibility. We've seen how mirror univerises can step into our univerise by just using a transporter, so everything....and I mean EVERYTHING's possible. Nice standing upto Rear Admiral FitzPatrick by the way. I remember my entire Physics 365 class hating him. He was one crazy professor." When he said that, Gilmore kind of laughed a little bit and then they got back to working on the Endeavor with the upgrades.
The upgrades went by slowly, since they were upgrades and they also had to get some of the Sciences upgrades on there as well. But, at least they were getting some much needed upgrades done.
OOC: Thought that I might add in the whole, "where is spock" stuff and maybe see where that goes
