Ariana lay on the bed in her quarters aboard the USS Mercy staring at the ceiling, her mind drifted back to when she boarded going over her talk with Hades.

~ 1400 hrs ~

Ariana stepped up to the security checkpoint at the Mercy's docking port, she'd said an emotional farewell to Stacie and Cameron plus left instructions with Olivia O'Riley for while she was away. Including having Olivia explain her absence to her father and step-mother.

Once past the checkpoint she headed for the CO’s ready room to find Hades and let him know she was aboard. As she arrived on the bridge she paused to take a deep breath and compose herself, hoping she didn’t look as much an emotional wreck as she was feeling. Reaching out her hand she pressed the chime and waited.

Hades had just finished report checks. He was getting information on Sickbay and running a few other scenarios. Kitana had not been happy when he'd told her she couldn't go. He wouldn't put it past her to try and sneak aboard. Lucky for him he was checking the bio signs of everyone on the ship.

The chime drew his attention. "Enter."

Walking into the ready room Ariana offered the best smile she could muster as she approached Hades desk. “Reporting Ready for departure Commander.” Her hands were clasped tightly behind her back.

He sighed, "Good." He hit a button and in vampire quality Nivar entered through a side door. "Ariana, you know Michael."

Ariana nodded. "I do" She offered a brief smile. "Sorry, it's been a bit of a stressful morning!" She massaged her temples. "I've left Lieutenant O'Riley with instructions to tell my father I've gone once we're well away from the station! If I know the General the minute he knows I'm gone he'll aim to be chasing after me to stop me from doing this." She looked at Nivar, then back at Hades. "So, what's the plan? What are these people going to do to me?"

"The First Federation has advanced medical training. They are...beyond what we have here," Hades said. "Their scans are more detailed and once you are there they might be able to give you a better idea of what's going on. As for your father. You didn't tell him where you're going right?"

“No, he just knows I’m with you. I gave Olivia no more information than that.” She looked to Nivar. “I take it you’re gong to be escorting me when we reach the First Federation? I won’t lie this whole thing...whatever it is, scares the hell out of me!”

Hades sighed and gave a nod to Michael.

"I will be escorting you. No non First Federation member is allowed without getting clearance and without an escort. It is quite dangerous but not when you are with me. You travel under Lord Hades' banner."

"Lord Hades?" Ariana smiled as she looked at Hades. "Dare I ask?"

"A long story." Hades sighed.

Michael grinned. "Lord Hades, first Monarch of the Erebus colony. Member of the council of the First Federation."

"I always knew there was more to you than met the eye Lord Hades." Ariana smiled warmly before suddenly clutching at her head. Her headache had suddenly taken on a life of its own.

Hades stood up quickly. He had a tricorder. "I can give you something for that. Go rest. We'll reach the drop off point within three hours." He picked up a hypo and then pressed it to her neck. "Better?"

Ariana sighed. "For now, thank you." She started for the door before pausing and looking back. "Hades, I don't know what's going on with me but something definitely doesn't feel right. I just hope we get there before whatever is happening reaches the point where I can't control it."
