Mission: Episode 103 - In The Darkest Days...
Location: Hades Office
Timeline: MD2 1200 hours

Ariana arrived at Hades office, having been in to check on her father she wanted to know if the results from the tests Hades ran on her had rung any bells with Nivar or his contacts. Peering around Hades open door she smiled warmly. "Knock, knock."

Hades looked up from the reports he was signing off on. He was just getting ready to head over to the Mercy. They would be shoving off soon. It had been interesting. He was leaving Mendez in charge until Harris and Carolyn got back.

Ariana walked inside pushing little Stacie in her Pram, she was sleeping peacefully cuddled up with a small pink teddy. "How are you? I haven't really seen much of you since your surgery."

He shrugged, "It has been busy. With Carolyn gone I've had to fast track my recovery. On the whole I have been well." He looked at mother and daughter. "How have you been? How is Stacie?"

"Stacie is fine, feeding well and sleeping well too" She smiled warmly. "Me...I'm not sure yet. Recent events with the section 31 operative who tried to kill my father, have me somewhat on edge. She used a hypo on me and I have no clue what was in it. I want to ask my father but not while he's still recovering." She offered a brief smile. "Anything from those test results you sent to Nivar?"

"It is complex. It's as if ...." He sighed, "The mind," he began calling the brain in 3D to hover over the desk. "Has distinct centres." He pointed to one section, "Here is where the personality rests." He pulled a closer view and it held two distinct colours. "What do you notice."

Ariana studied the 3D view. "Shouldn't it be just one colour? It's one organ but it's showing two distinct areas. Are these different personality centres? Positive and negative?"

"Sort of. Two personality centers yes. The red is what you are, Ariana. The dark blue...is dormant. If you look closely there is a gap between the two. This was the first scan I took of you." He brought up another image. "This is the most recent one." When this image flared it showed several bridge like connections.

Ariana frowned as she looked at the images. "My brain is creating new connections?" She studied the images. "What exactly does this mean Hades?"

"The dormant side is activating." He shook his head. "I don't know what that means beyond that. It's integrating both personalities."

Ariana nodded. "What about the hypo she gave me?" Ariana was studying the 3D view with curious and close scrutiny. "What if she was...speeding this up? Making me...what?"

He hook his head. "Too soon to tell. We'll have to keep an eye on things." He was silent for a moment. "Ariana, I have an offer to make you. Not one I make lightly."

Ariana turned to look at Hades. "Go on, I have a feeling I'm not going to like this but say it anyway."

He sighed, "There is a group of people who would be able to help with this more. They are far away and the journey is not so fun. In fact I sent Carolyn there. I can ensure you get there too."

"Funnily enough I was going to ask if I could see Carolyn." She offered a warm smile. "I'll do it. Whatever it takes! I have a family to protect and in the long run I might be the biggest danger."

"Can you leave Stacie here?"

Ariana frowned as she looked at her daughter. "If you think she'll be safer, but how long would I be away for?" Her hand gently reached to brush her daughter's face.

"A few weeks perhaps. Nivar will leave for the Colony from the Mercy. I'll get you guys as close as I can. It's on our way to the wounded anyway."

Ariana nodded. "I guess I don't have much choice. It's going to tear me apart being away from Stacie for that long." She paused. "Can't I ask Cameron to come with me? He'd look after Stacie." She knew it was a long shot but it was worth asking.

"No. The rules are clear. I have...been dealing with them for a long time. I've reached my limit of how many protected envoys I can send. "Two. Carolyn and yourself."

Ariana nodded. "I understand. How soon do we have to go?"

"Two hours." He stood. "I will meet you on the Mercy."

"Only two hours?!" She looked shocked and surprised but nodded anyway. "I'll be there. I have to be."

"I shall see you there." He smiled.
