Mission: Episode 95 - Helping Old Friends

Maria had left asking Jaca to watch Roberto, and to let her know if he wakes up. Heading over to this new shop she found the concept of her friend having a crush on someone, Jaca was acting like a teenage girl, and Maria should know, she was one at one time.

Walking in to Galactic Mechanics she called out, "Hello?"

The counter blocked the entrance to the backroom mumbling to himself more then anything else "That stupid Irish bastard I swear I should have left him on earth." Said Camron as he came out of the back room and up the ramp to his counter. "Hello ma'am what can I do for you today." Said Camron casually all trace of his annoyance was gone. After all customers only cared how they were treated not if the person who was waiting on them had a bad day.

Maria just let the comments fade, "Hi, I'm Maria Garabaldi, I run the store Curious goods, with Jaca, I believe you met her earlier."

"Jaca hmm so that is her name. Yah we talked for a while she wanted, well not sure what she wanted exactly other then to make some connections with another business here on the station. She did invite me over to see some of her work. The more I think about it the more I think I will send some work your way.". Said camron casually from the desk. " What about yourself though what brings you to my shop". He added

"I thought I'd come in to say hi and introduce myself." She paused, "Is this not a good time?" If his shop is busy she would come back.

"This is as good a time as any other. We are not open yet and I am sorry if you heard that outburst. My employee was supposed to order a couple cases of mark seven stembolts and instead of that he ordered three cases of stablizier brackets. I had just found out about it when you came in." Said Camron calmly "By the way I am Camron Wayne the owner of Galactic Mechanics." He added

She smiled, "Nice to meet you." Then she handed over a small package. "I believe Jaca talked to you about an old book. I wanted to also bring it by."

Camron accepted the old book and after studying it for a few minutes he had what he needed. Well it is certainly the right age, and it is a technical manual for an old earth car. Beyond a handfull of people though it is pretty much only valuable as a conversation piece. However to a collector or a Mechanic it could be worth who knows how much." Said Camron calmly in truth he had only looked at the first couple pages and would need more time to find out if it was all there or not.

She paused for a bit then looked around, "Perhaps there is something, my son seems to have a bit of a mechanical bent even at 3 years old, do you have any simple projects he can practice with?"

"Hmm 3 years old you say well something purely mechanical for that age I do not have however I think I know something that might help with his cordination and in a couple of years he might be ready to work with even smaller items and simple models." Said Camron he turned from the counter to a replicator behind him. "Computer one beginners pipeworks set." Said Camron calmly a few seconds later and a large box containing assorted lenghts of white pipes and multi colored fittings along with 4 big plastic wheels appeared. He took the large box and set it on the counter for her.

"See what your son makes of these if you want more pieces or more advanced sets let me know but this should be enough to at least see if he is interested in building things. After all a mechanic needs to be able to take things apart and then rebuild them this will help him with that and be perfectly safe as I seriously doubt he could put any of these oversized pieces in his mouth." Said Camron

"Thank you." She took it then asked, "How much do I owe you?"

"Normally it would be one strip of latnium but considering that I am not yet officially open for business and that we have at least a gentlemen's agreement in place this one is on the house. I hope you and your son both enjoy it." Said Camron politely as he slid the item across the counter top.

"Thank you." Maria smiled again, she was ready to pay, but Roberto would like the little kit.

"Your very welcome and tell Jaca next time you see her I will likely swing by tomarrow. Not sure what time exactly but I will make it a point to stop by." Said Camron calmly

"I'll see you then."
