Jewel and the kids made it back to their quarters and she sat down while the kids went to the room to play. She sat by the window, wishing the baby was able to be there with her and not stuck in sickbay for a while. While her husband's promotion was great she felt depressed and not really happy at the moment. She let her hair out of the braid and just sat looking out the window.

Hurd, walking in a few moments later. Cracking his neck, He looked at Jewel and said, "Whats wrong dear?"

She looked at her husband then looked back out of the window she just shrugged, "Just a lot has happened over the last few weeks and it's just taking a toll on me emotionally." Jewel replied, "also with Alena being in sickbay for a while longer just sucks she can't be here with us. But she's not ready yet since she was born so early." Jewel added as she looked at him.

Putting his arm around her waist, Hurd said, "I know hun, but she's in the best of hands."

"I know still," Jewel replied looking at her husband. She thought back to the promotion ceremony. "So you care to explain the other David Hurd?" Jewel inquired as she was now confused when he called him dad and he's not old enough to be his father.

Rubbing his head, he said, "It's complicated but suffice to say he was a cloning experiment that went wrong".

"What do you mean a cloning experiment gone wrong? When were you going to tell me?" Jewel asked now getting kinda annoyed. "What happened to always tell each other everything?" Jewel asked as she sighed.

"It was an experiment to create more soldiers like me and I was going to tell tell you today my dear."

Hugging her tightly he added, ''I thought the experiment failed and nothing came of it but I was wrong."

She looked at him and shook her head, "why would you even agree to that?" Leah asked looking at him just shaking her head. "I don't care if it was an experiment, it's weird for him to call you his dad. Now, brother, I would understand, but dad no that is just not right." Jewel replied as she shook her head.

"I agree, and have told him several times the exact same thing you just said, but he will not listen". Wiping the sweat from his forehead, which was there because he loved Jewel and hated when she was upset, he asked, "Would you like to invite him over? maybe he will listen to you".

She sighed looking at him, "Not tonight probably at a later date I'll talk to him just right now I am tired and rather just go to bed." Jewel replied looking at him.

"Alright hun," Hurd said kissing her. "You head to bed, i have some work i need to do, coutsey of my promotion, once im done ill be there with you", he said smiling and giving her a kiss and a hug. As she turned to walk away David said, "Goodnight Baby"
