[ON]

It had been a trying few days. He had been back and fourth with Starfleet Medical and well things were not looking up. He would have to but in a lot of lab time. He picked up his tricorder and walked over to Captain Casion. "Good morning," he said. She wasn't awake but that didn't matter. Hades knew she could hear ...besides he'd said it to Casion as much as to Amir who was hanging near.

Amir had Not slept well.. Something was Not right.. Deb was struggling.. A Nightmare?!?!? Something neither of them had had in Years..???? Also Feeding from Deb, which she did when it was quiet, felt wrong?? Amir had started feeling dizzy and sluggish,, Or was that the lack of sleep???
She lowered herself down to Deb's left cheek, resting there on Deb's cheek bone.. She didn't care that the nurses and orderly were still creeped out...

Deborah flinched,, Or did she?? Darkness was coming for her, As was Fire, Famine, disease, all things deathly... She fought, it's ALL she had, she thought.. She would go done swinging... Alone rejected by the universe, With Death coming to claim the last two living things, this universe was done.. She screamed for Amir to run, to Another universe,, Run RUN RUN!!!!!!!!

Amir Screed in fear recoiling from Deb back up the wall behind them... All the instruments started going haywire.. Deb began to twist and reel harshly across the bed...

Hades had been just steps from the bed "Nurse!" He grabbed his tricorder. He shook his head. "Get an Isotropic Restraint. We can't have her moving around so much. "Anetrizine 5 CCs only." It was enough to keep her calm but not enough to put her under completely. She was still moving mumbling. He took the hypo from the nurse and pressed it to Deborah's neck. She seemed to calm for the moment." He scanned her again. "Something's wrong and for the love of blood I can't figure out what."

Hades was aware of the Amir's presence. He tried to talk through everything that was going on for Amir's sake. "Get her into the ICU section I want full body monitoring." He watched the nurses and move.

Amir was tipsy herself she had no idea why.. "I dont know whats wrong. When I feed from her I'm feeling woozy?? Something's wrong in her blood??"

Hades gave a nod. "Nurse I need you to draw blood. I want it to the lab and it's priority I need a full work up."

Hades cleared everyone out and sat beside Deb with Amir close by. "We'll help her I promise. "

Amir wasn't sure of anything. Amir was to shaky to think. "Someone had better do something. " "You have no idea what we've sacrificed, when is it our chance at peace. And Deborah's chance at love."

"I will find out what's wrong. He promised." And minutes later he was back in his office. Hours later he had a starting point. He rubbed his nose. Reman physiology.

He stared at his computer. Devouring all he could about Deborah's medical records from her exercise regiment to her meals. He saw it instantly. "Damn!"

Hades tapped his Com bade. "Dr. Hades to Dr. Th'relanon. Please come to my office. Urgent." Hades had left Shrivol in his quarters and expected that he'd still be here but the length of time it took Shrivol to come to the office told him that he hadn't been in his quarters.

Shrivol rushed to Hades office from the lab, he was a bit tired from research he had been doing. "You rang doctor?" he said showing concern on his face.

"It's Deborah Caison. I moved her to ICU. I did some research and blood work. Her treatment...will be dangerous. It needs CMO approval. She's crashed already a couple of times and is holding on by a thread." He said.

Shrivol grabbed a PADD and pulled up the medical orders and pressed his thumb to the authorization. "Of course, do you require any assistance?"

Deb didn't fight her move, at least not consciously.. She repeated under her breath. "No Love No Life?????

She felt the darkness coming at her again.. This time however, slower, assured of it's victory.. She was so weak, she couldn't even feel Amir,, Good, her loving little companion would live on somewhere in space.. She glared at the darkness defiantly,, She opened her arms ready for it's embrace, She was going to torture death for the rest of time...

In normal space the Captain had gone ridged from head to toe, her neurological activity spiking for a few seconds than a complete system crash.. Nurse Calhoun hammered the blue alert and went in for some old school medicine.. One of the nurses grabbed a hypo.. "NO!!" Calhoun ordered.. Calhoun tore the shirt from the younger woman.. "Stim patches!!" She received three slapping them to the Captains chest.. She put her hands together and started hard compression's.. "Your not leaving without one more fight young lady.."

Hades and Shrivol had heard the code blue and ran out of Hades' Office. Hades noted he stim patches were added to the woman's chest. He adjusted the stim cycle. "Clear!" Watching everyone step back he hit the switch watching her body jolt. "Continue chest compression." He took over the breathing for her while Calhoun started the compressions.

"Neural stimulator." Shrivol ordered and placed them on her forehead, the team started working furiously and in sync to the situation. "30CC adrenaline."

Deaths embrace was no comfort and it seemed to be fluctuated?? An electric burst erupted between them, Death reeled back... Some one was helping her?!?!?!? Death stalled as Deb's chest lurched.. YES!!!! She WASN'T ALONE!!! Her only weapon was her force of will.. Fine,, So Be It.. As death continued to stall she closed in on herself, gathered everything she could find for one final strike..
Her will sparked into a ball of fire.. Gathered in her hands.. She shrieked with final rage and rammed her hands into the face of death itself.. The universe exploded.. She didn't know if she won or not as nothingness collected her. All she knew was she'd finally given her All, Every ounce of herself, was it enough????

Amir Shrieked and fell from the wall onto the bed next to Deb's head.. She convulsed slowly seeming to be in agony..

It was at that moment the newly minted warrant officer entered the ICU fording his way past the hapless Orderly.. Behind him were the first and fifth squads of the 3rd. The 26 Marines were fully Armed.. Mitchell was Marine enough to accept whatever the general would do to him.. It was only pointless to those that were Not Marines.
They lined the corridor on both sides of the Captains ICU, They were considering defying the General to hold there posts..
Mitchell had only known her for a month but had found in her promise like he'd seen in the General 20 years ago, in his mind, If she were taken the Corp would have sustained a nearly unrecoverable loss.. Mitchell saw Amir on the bed looking like she to were in the throws of death.. He liked the little Arachnid, She was sassy, smart and committed to Deborah like no other creature he'd seen in his nearly 50 years.. He stood by the door, arms crossed sending them both his energy, his will , maybe it would help...

Amir twitched awake. God's what was that!!! She said to no one. She crawled exhausted into the hollow of the left side of Deborah's neck under her ear, curling into the protective thickness of Deb's hair. And clung there.

Hades called for the nurses to take her to surgical one. "I need that room Quarantined." He looked at Jackson. "My office please."

Patrick watched Deborah's struggle to survive. He'd seen this battle before. But she was different. She had Amir to worry about/ depend on. Her will must be stronger then the duranium hulls of the starships. He took her hand and squeezed it. "Don't you die, Captain. That's an order " he said, hoping it would make a difference.

Nothingness. Yeah. It meant she WASN'T DEAD. she felt Amir close by. Spent. Deb felt horrible for putting her little companion through so much. She could feel something from beyond the blackness, like wormth in her left hand. She followed the sensation till she found the source.
Patrick???? Was HOLDING HER HAND!!!! ONE OF HER LIST OF SIRES!!!! She clamped down on her brain. She'd learned her lesson. You can not present a sexually driven hurricane to mere mortals. They couldn't handle it. That didn't change her needs. Just the method. She was thankful Someone had stepped in. She was strong fearless and crazy. But she was trying WAY TO HARD. Maybe he would be there when she woke??? A girl could hope........
This lead to a thought. How many were attending her dance with death????

Shrivol looked to where Hades was, this was going to be a process and every doctor needed to be called in for it. He oversaw the nurses placing her in quarantine and Shrivol went to Hades office. They needed that plan to work.

Hades looked up as Shrivol entered and took a seat next to Jackson. When both men were seated Hades continued. "Arsenic is the key to saving her he said."

"At this point I agree, every procedure we would normally do must be retooled. What type of bonding agent were you thinking of using for the Arsenic?" Shrivol said, looking at a chemical makeup of the deadly compound.

"I don't know I have a theory that she gets it from her food but I need access to her food records and even then it's touch and go. The dosing needs to be figured out based on her Reman side. I've contacted Remus, a friend of mine he's knows about Reman physiology the best being one."

"That will help." Shrivol lowered the PADD again "It's times like this I wish the Romulans would have divulged more Reman physiology." he said in frustration.

Jackson had a few minutes to wander into Medical to check on Casion. "What is Casion's medical status Doctor?"

"General, she is in quarantine. As of right now it's extremely touch and go, we do have a plan." Shrivol turned toward Hades "I am going to let him give you the details because it's his plan and I thoroughly approve, but it involves introducing amounts of Arsenic into her body." Shrivol's antenna contorted just at the statement.

Jackson got a chill at that statement, and awaited elaboration from Doctor Hades.

"Reman physiology needs Arsenic to keep going. Her levels are below what they should be, well below, and if we do nothing we'll loose her. Once I've spoken with Remus we can start with the treatment."

"Thank you both for the update. Please let me know if there are any major changes." Jackson said, and left Medical.

Hades had just been about to say something when the coms on his desk beeped. He checked it and then brought up the communication onto the screen on the wall so Shrivol could see as well.

"Remus my old friend. I would start with pleasantries but this is urgent." He told Remus what was going on and sent off files for the other Doctor to look at. Within minutes Remus had digested it all and started to speak.

The usually stoic large Reman became much more animated. Being the only Reman doctor in service to Strangers, he'd been on a private mission to find all remaining Reman's of any sort.. he did not waste time. " You must proceed with your plan immediately. It will be ugly. But you must stay the course it will save her. ". He did not say anything about her importance to the Reman people.

"Remus," Hades asked. "How do I safely introduce it. I mean do I mix it with something. I am guessing it needs to go into food but because of her state we might have to inject it and frankly I'm not sure about the dose due to her mixed heritage. Can you help me with any of that?"

"Her constitution will handle it.." You must direct inject, Her organs will rebel At first her obsorbtion rate will likely be Untraceable. Her cells will go through the Arsenic instantly.. Her cells need to reconstitute their levels to health cohesion is evident.. Neurological response will be erratic at first, No linger effects will occur Give her what she needs, she will know when it is enough...

"Great. Remus stay by your com if I need you. We'll begin the process right away." Hades turned to Shrivol. "Doctor do you have any questions for Remus?"

Shrivol shook his head "Thank you doctor. I just hope we have the signs on when it's enough." he felt more at ease at this process especially with Remus ready for questions.

Hades clicked the channel off. He looked at Shrivol. "We need to go get this started as soon as possible. "We need one of the quarantine rooms prepared. I'll get he ball rolling there. We'll need safety equipment." Hades smiled. "Because you're the CMO I'll let you handle telling the Admirals what's going on."

"The joys of being a CMO. Maybe I can pawn it off on Braxton or Lin." Shrivol said jokingly. "I really want only select staff assisting us. No one goes in without approval." he was concerned about this procedure.

"For the most part I think it should be just you and me and Dr. Raya." Hades said.

"Agreed, but lets add Lin in for assistance if needed. She has more experience." Shrivol rubbed his forehead "I'll have engineering double check all the back up decontamination systems. Other than that I think we have the pieces in place."

"We should also go in one at a time, when one reaches max levels the other can take over. Let's go and prepare."
