Patrick responded to Col Hurd's summons to MC. He saw not just Hurd but also General Jackson and Admiral T'Lar. Patrick snapped to attention. "Colonel, General, Admiral" he acknowledged them all respectively.

Deela acknowledged him, "Major."

Patrick extended his hand to the Admiral."Major Patrick McMichaels, 22nd Regiment Commander. At your service" he said.

''Do you know why you are here, Major?'', Hurd said, keeping his tone completly neutral and what some would describe as ice cold.

Jackson sat in his chair, wondering what the meeting was all about.

Deela was wondering the same thing.

Patrick scratched his head. "To be honest, Colonel, I'm a bit startled as to why I've been called to the bridge of the Tirpitz. And why General Jackson and Admiral T'Lar are here as well" he said to Hurd.

Standing, he turned to face the Admiral and the General and said, ''With your permission?''

Jackson gave a nod of approval, "Carry on."

Deela repeated what Jackson said, "Uh, yes, carry on." She looked over at Jackson then back at Hurd.

Taking a Padd out of his pocket, Hurd read from it, ''Major Patrick McMichales, You are hereby requested and required to take the position of Executive Officer aboard the U.S.S. Tirpitz Registry Number NCC-41944, as of this Stardate''.

Patrick's jaw almost came unhinged. He saluted the three senior officers. "I hereby accept this position and will endeavor to perform to the best of my abilities " he said.

''I am sure you will Major.''

Deela smiled, "Congratulations Major McMichaels."

After the Admiral's turn, Jackson shook the Major's hand," Good job Major."

Patrick beamed with pride. "Thank you General, Admiral, Colonel" addressing his superiors each respectively. "When do we 'take her out' ?" he asked.

Hurd chuckled and said, ''When we are called to do so''
