Mission: Episode 91 - Bremer vs Bremer
Location: Kaleb III Marine Training Depot
Timeline: MD Minus 1, 1100hrs

Starbase 400 1st Division Commander's Office

It has been some time since the Battle Of Death Valley against the Borg, and it was only now that the battalions involved were close to returning to Deployable Status. First up to complete their Combat Rating was the 1st Battalion of the 22nd Marines. Jackson wanted to make sure that they would get their rating.

=/\=Jackson to Captain McMichaels, report to my office.=/\=

=^=On my way, General=^= Patrick replied and promptly headed to 'Marine Country'. He walked in and stood at attention. "Reporting as ordered, Sir" he said with a salute.

Jackson returned the salute. "Have a seat Captain."

Patrick, just a reminder that your regiment still has one undeployable battalion, due to battle. But these last few months, 1/22 has been re-equipped, replenished with marines, and has been going through the paces in training. Now that the combat evals are coming up, 1/22 is first up to test out. IF 1/22 passes, they recieve their combat rating, and will be reclassed as deployable." Jackson gave a few seconds for his statement to sink in.

"So Patrick, I would suggest that you go to the Marine Training Depot in the system, and make sure they pass. Their officer corps is young, but you have seasoned NCOs there. This is the last day of training before the test balloon goes up on them in the morning. I have some scenarios they will have to negotiate in the holodomes. Only domes 1-3 are operational. The Engineers are working on the other domes, as well as defenses. Are we on the same frequency Mister?"

Patrick almost jumped for joy. "I'll pack and leave for Kaleb III immediately, General. They'll pass with flying colors, Sir" he said excitedly.

Jackson smiled, "I have no doubt that they will Captain. Good luck."

Main shuttlebay

Patrick had packed for a week, just in case things got messy. He boarded the Danube-class USS Philadelphia with Staff Sergeant Allen Hart. "First trip to the depot, Captain?" The young NCO asked.

"Yeah Sergeant. Combat rating is tomorrow. So no unscheduled stops please" Patrick said.

"Bridge, this is the USS Philadelphia in shuttlebay 1. Requesting permission to depart" Sgt Hart said.

"USS Philadelphia. Permission granted. Good luck and God speed" came the reply.

As soon as they were clear of Starbase 400; the runabout went , en route to Kaleb III.

Kaleb III Marine Training Depot

2nd Platoon was just put through a ringer as far as training scenarios, and it showed as the battered platoon left Dome 1 carrying 5 of their stunned Marines on makeshift stretchers. The young 2nd Lieutenant, who was one of the unlucky to be carried off the simulated battlefield, decided to walk the platoon into a Jem'Hadar ambush, despite Hopper's efforts to advise him into another course of action. The platoon reached Central Dome, where the lucky five were taken by Corpsmen to Medical for their post stun checkups. Hopper barked out some orders. "Okay heroes, you have one hour for weapons and equipment maintenance, Squad Leaders, after you do your equipment checks, you may have your squads fall out to the billets. Hooah?"

The Marines responded in unison, "Hooah Staff Sergeant!"

As the men fell out, Hopper could see the Combat Engineers performing equipment checks of their own before they resumed their job of completing the base.

It wasn't exactly easy to be near all this Testosterone.. Deborah's "needs" were as yet unmbroughto she Philadelphiagy to focus her men on there job. Her suite was standard for a medium sized female, except for the blotches of dried blood here and there that she'd refused to remove. It made her stand out, which she didn't mind..
Over the comm system she listened in on the preps for the days last training mission.. Unfortunately her job was construction and Not demolition... (Bummer Hey girl, You'd love to play around with this bunch??) Amir said from beside her. Immune to the effects of space, Amir was having a blast, winking here and there, displaying her space/time manipulation ability.

Her men were busy with alignments of the underground systems, basic stuff but important to the basics people generally took for granted.. (Don't worry Amir, we'll get our chance and then we can play with the big boys..)
It still paled compared to what she wanted from and with her Alpha, But that was another mission for a different time...

Curiosity was getting the better of Sam, as he took a stroll near the Engineers, some returning from the outside in their EVA suits. He marveled at the heavy equipment the Sappers were sporting as he walked around the machinery...

The Staff Sargent was another handsome devil.. Deborah noticed him watching her people. "Got a question Staff Sargent!!??" She barked through her helmet. Her people were taking a break and cleaning up a bit...

Sam's attention to the equipment broke with the sound of a woman in an EVA suit. The rank marking on the suit indicated a First Lieutenant. "No Sir, just admiring the hardware. How are thing on your end of the game?"

Deb pulled off her helmet and shook out her hair rather violently, Not caring how it looked... "You want to play with MY Toys you ask nicely..." Amir scampered up Deb's left side, perching on her shoulder.. Deb pulled off her left glove and let Amir feed..

Sam hesitated before he answered, not just because of the spider like creature on her shoulder, but because she was very pretty for a Combat Engineer. Taking into account her line of work, as well as her choice of companions, she is what Marines would refer to as a crazy girl. But that did not stop him from interacting with her. Crazy girls could be interesting for a few things. "Not playing with your toys Sir, just admiring them. I don't get to see too many toys in the Infantry, unless they are prepping defenses, knocking stuff down, or building environmental domes."

He wasn't an Alpha male, She could smell that much. But he was rough and ready, and damn it She had needs.. But that wasn't for now and besides He had to get to her, the only male she would chase was her Alpha.. "Well we are doing the later so I'd advise standing clear.. Don't need to get your toes crunched.." She said in a calm assertive manor.

Nothing entertains a seasoned NCO like an assertive Lieutenant. At least she was not a "butter bar", but still a little wet behind the ears. "There are worst things that can get crunched in our world Lieutenant. We can talk about that at a later time. I have a platoon to check up on. Big day for them tomorrow."

"Wip'em into shape Sergeant.." She said. Smiling... Damn but this wasn't any fun at all...

Hopper walked away while shaking his head. He thought to himself, "Damn she is a hungry one."

Sgt Hart brought the Philadelphia in for a landing. As Hart powered down, Patrick grabbed his duffel and headed for the OPS.

Having given her people a 90 minute window to rest, She was half out of her space suit and just hanging around the completed section of Kaleb station. She noticed many folks of all races going here and there doing their jobs.. She noticed a fetching red haired male human with what looked like captains bars... Well Now she thought to herself, She turned away but her powerful passive scan locked onto him.. He was a near Alpha, strong on the inside, driven.. Nice..

Ops

Captain Mitchell Abrams, the Depot Garrison Commander, saw McMichaels walk into Ops. He extended his hand of a handshake, "Captain McMichaels I presume?"

Patrick shook the Abrams' hand. "Captain Abrams. Good to know you. General Jackson wants me to oversee the 1st 22 in their final preparation for Combat Rating tomorrow. This is Platoon Sergeant Hart, from Bravo Company" Patrick said. Hart saluted Abrams then offered a hand shake.

Abrams returned the salute, and shook the sergeant's hand. "Glad to have you two aboard. The General informed me about your mission. " Abrams motioned to a rather large Master Sergeant across the room. "Let me introduce you to Master Sergeant Gibbs. He is the NCOIC of Division Training."

The senior NCO snapped a salute to McMichaels.

Patrick returned the MSgt's salute. "So Master Sergeant Gibbs, maybe you can give me the 'what's what' here. General Jackson more or less implied you'd have the schedule" he said. "This is Platoon Sergeant Hart. He's also my ride back to base" Patrick said then nodded at Hart.

Gibbs gave Hart a nod as well. Then he addressed both men. "Well, as far as your men know, first call is at 0600 tomorrow. In reality, there will be a 0400 wake up and stand too. Then the first Warning Order will have them suit up for Zero Atmosphere operations. Then will be directed to Holodome 1, to be greeted with a Class D planet, in which they will be tasked with combat patrols in their suits. The rest of the phase is a surprise. Remember to have everyone's weapon on heavy stun, or the Engineers will cure you for wrecking their holodomes." Gibbs smiled as he finished speaking.

Hearing this was stressing her to a point, She LOVED COMBAT!! She sighed and went to grab a sandwich...

"Ouch. That'll be a 1 2 punch. If your men are anything like mine; they tend to get rowdier the longer they're penned up. Last time I had off base training; we were away for almost a year. Yeah. You can imagine the testosterone level after a year with 125 male marines" Patrick laughed.

Gibbs spoke again, "The great thing about these holodomes, is that we can throw ANY type of enemy on your men. Again, all weapons set on heavy stun, and stun grenades instead of frags. Your stun adjusted weapons will "kill" the enemy, and the enemy weapons will stun the hell out of your Marines."

Wasn't it Every Feral women's dream to have an entire field full of Mustang's to indulge in?? It was SO unfair!! She couldn't go down that road,, But DAMN So many glorious Men to be had!!! It seemed she was the only female even planetside??? Sure most were lessers her sometimes cursed Reman definitions ranking all in her sensory range..
Deborah sighed again as she sat Again and took Another bite of her simple sandwich. If Not the Alpha, the next man to court her was in for a near debilitating night...

Patrick raised an eyebrow. "Aye. They won't be real happy. But that's why we get paid the big bucks" he laughed. It was only 1300 hours so there was plenty of time. "Gibbs, what's your plan for 1st Battalion right now?" Patrick asked.

"Well, they just had their asses handed to them in training, so they are in the middle of equipment maintenance. I left it up to the Officers and NCOs as to how they spent the rest of the day. They have been busy all night." The Master Sergeant said with a snicker.

Despite her longings It was good to here the systems were working as expected.. Deborah sighed, Again, Sometime soon she and her guys would get their chance in there...

Patrick smiled. "Well i can't wait for the rest of the surprises. Got a few extra bunks for us Mr Gibbs?" he asked. He was a little tense at the anticipation of potential combat.

Gibbs looked at Captain Abrams. Abrams spoke, "We have the senior officers set up in the old Klingon part of the base. It was originally here, and we built our base on and around it, and under it as well." He motioned for one of the Marine guards to come up. "Corporal, show these gentlemen to their quarters."
